Race 1
(1) HOT DEUCE has been very sharp recently and that was a good effort to hold a board spot last week after a long uncovered trip; inside post can get him over the top tonight. (3) BET YOU gets serious post relief and was a winner three back at this level. (2) FIRST OF ITSKIND should be close up throughout from this spot.
Race 2
(4) BEACH MEMORIES is back up in class off the claim after finally breaking his seasonal maiden; veteran may be sharp enough to repeat. (2) ROAD UNTRAVELED didn't have much of an excuse last week but he still rates highly from this spot. (3) BLADE SEELSTER was dull in his last two after an extended form spree but he does drop to face softer tonight.
Race 3
(5) SPORTY SPOOK A raced pretty well last week while having no realistic chance and he faces some questionable foes here; gelding may be the best price of the contenders. (1) MACINTOSH N got brutally hung to dry last week from the eight hole; obviously the move inside makes him a player. (3) MELMERBY BEACH gapped off cover in the late stages last out but the notoriously inconsistent pacer is capable of tons better.
Race 4
(6) BUNGALOW BILL N stays at the same level looking for two straight after tripping out to win from the rail. This is a tougher spot but he's worth following versus some camera-shy rivals. (4) HIGHLAND TARTAN was very good winning versus cheaper last out and perhaps he has more to offer. (1) THE LUNCH PAIL drops, draws best and makes the most sense in here but it's tough to take him at any sort of short price.
Race 5
(4) IDEAL JIMMY was used early last week in a failed brush try but he deserves another chance having landed inside his main rivals. (5) ROLL AWAY JOE has been racing just evenly recently but he seems capable of stepping his game up a notch. (6) ANOTHER DAILY COPY has been in tough spots in his last couple but the Banca trainee raced well in prior starts.
Race 6
(6) ALWAYS AT MY PLACE somehow had the rail last week and took the Open field coast-to-coast; Burke trainee wins the '6 through 8' draw here and should be firing early. (1) THEARTOFCONFUSION A may be a notch below Open-caliber but he should be right there if he gets away close enough. (8) THE REAL ONE is stuck in the eight hole again and likely has too far to come; consider underneath.
Race 7
(4) LETTUCEROCKTHEM A gets needed class and post relief tonight; note five back he was a winner at this level. (2) THE REV also drops and he'll be the one to catch. (3) DUNE DUDE has been racing evenly at the $50K claiming level and he should be able to land a share here.
Race 8
(2) ROLAND N ROCK was in a poor spot in his local return and could not reach; he gets needed post relief and should be plenty tight for this event. (6) BLOOD BROTHER drops and gets Bartlett back in the bike; Banca trainee will be a player. (4) ROCK ON MOE is back in top shape again and almost always offers value; include.
Race 9
(3) PANCHESTER UNITED debuts for Robertson off the claim and does throw in good efforts from time to time; worth a look if the price is right, despite Bartlett opting elsewhere. (2) BEAT THE DRUM keeps the aforementioned Bartlett, draws well and may be put on the engine. (6) MACON GEORGIA A has been razor-sharp in all recent.
Race 10
(4) DR J HANOVER returns to Yonkers off a sharp score up in Canada and we know he loves the half-mile track; to the front. (3) QUICK ASA TRICK N has some good efforts sprinkled in recently and was Goodell's choice; consider if he's a big price. (6) TAKE IT BACK TERRY may need some help from this spot but it's tough to ignore the classy veteran at this level.
Race 11
(2) AMELOISI actually raced pretty well in her last two facing tough older foes; mare should appreciate the class relief. (4) SUPER MANNING is a threat to take these all the way if he behaves himself. (5) P L HERCULES was inhaled by the sharp winner last week; maybe he tries off-the-pace tactics tonight.
Race 12
(2) WINDSONG LEO has put in two stellar efforts since shipping from Canada and joining the Burke barn; he deserves top billing with the post edge. (4) MAXDADDY BLUE CHIP returns locally and has certainly found his stride for Allard. (7) MISTER DAYTONA has disappointed of late but he'll be a good price if you're keeping the faith.
