Yonkers: Jenn Bongiorno reaches training milestone

Cantkeepmiasecret gave Jenn Bongiorno the 1,000th training win of her career by taking the seventh race on Thursday night (September 22) at Yonkers Raceway.

The 4-year-old Cantab Hall mare took control nearing the 58 3/5 half for driver Jason Bartlett and held sway after that to prevail in 1:56 2/5. It was the second straight triumph at the oval for Cantkeepmiasecret after she dead-heated for top honors back on September 8.

Bongiorno, last year's leading trainer at Yonkers, currently sits fourth in the standings this year. During her training career, her charges have earned over $17.3 million.
