Race 1
(1) AMERICAN ISLAND moves up in class off his third straight victory; retains the rail slot and he does have every right to keep on his winning ways if he controls the tempo once again. Veteran (2) SWIFT AS A SHADOW was sent down the road in his latest for all the glory; main danger. (6) STARSKY'S DREAM N could not get past the eventful winner Lone Raider last time around; needs a better setup in order for him to contend with these.
Race 2
(2) MARK WITH A K fits well with these and he gets a good post to boot; could be tough to reel in. (4) SHIM is knocking at the door based on his last two tries; contender. (3) ALEX TYE did not have the best of trips in his latest but this seems to be a better spot for him to get back into the ballgame; watch out.
Race 3
(5) MORE THAN MANY will need to return to her 8/3 start and she will have plenty of pace to chase so expecting improvement. (2) ALWAYS GIGGLING was sharp for the placing but just could not get the job done against Sell A Bit last out; threat. (4) MILADY DENVER A will need to step it up off a dull effort recently but she is quite playable.
Race 4
(6) CHATELROLL was all alone for the victory last out at Saratoga. Juvenile seems to be getting better with racing so with that said, he's going to be tough indeed. (3) MAJOR BLAKE was sent right to the front and never looked back for all the glory in his last try at Tioga; main danger. (5) BUDDY HILL has put in three solid starts in a row so this pacer merits respect.
Race 5
(1) MELODIES MAJOR completely fell apart in his last trip to the post but the good news is he moves to the fence and that might be the ticket he needs to boss these; the pick. Sheppard winner (2) HICKFROMFRENCHLICK was good enough to hold the place spot last out but nobody was going to catch Major March; win threat. (5) MAJOR MARCH was sent down the road in his last try for the score. Post hurts tonight but he is very capable of repeating.
Race 6
(4) REIGNING DEO surged up in time to get the job done last time out. Juvenile colt should keep on improving and two straight is clearly not out of the question. (3) BICORNE HANOVER easy victory wire-to window last time around; merits respect. (2) JET ROCK will need to return to his 8/8 trip at Saratoga if he's going to make an impact with these; do not overlook.
Race 7
Hoosier Park invader (6) PISTOL PACKIN MAMA cruised her way to victory in her last try. Now she moves to Yonkers and if she returns to her last effort, the rest will have to settle for minor awards. Consistent (7) TEQUILA MONDAY has been on the board in her last five tries so she appears to be a big threat. (8) NEWBORN SASSY was late on the scene to nail down the victory last out and she could handle the far outside slot; not out of this.
Race 8
(3) KEYSTONE WANDA showed signs of life in her latest and this eight-year-old mare has been on the board 14 times of 24 starts; can take this if she brings her A-game to the table. (2) ELLA CHRISTINA has wheeled off two consecutive victories at Philly and now she moves to Yonkers with a cozy post; consider. Based on her last three starts (1) MAGIC FORCES is knocking at the door; watch out.
Race 9
(6) FEEL THE NEED A leaves the 8-hole, has good early zip and he does have a fondness for the Hilltop; should make his presence felt with a clean getaway. (1) MILLIONDOLLAR WAVE has two second-place finishes in a row and he draws the fence so that makes this pacer a prime contender. (2) TRACK MASTER D took another down-the-road score in his last try so he does figure to be right in the mix once again.
Race 10
(2) BLACKNSWEET ADDA A was quite dull in her latest but she is much better than her last flop. Mare has positional speed to work out an ideal trip; can mow these down with a return to her 7/17 win here. (4) SKIPPIN BY was second best in her Pocono finale so there is room for improvement. (3) BRONZE OVER N gets post relief and that should help her cause; merits respect.
Race 11
Sharp and consistent (2) HOOVES ON FIRST gets another try for glory. She is in a good spot as any of these and she does have every right to greet the camera operator for pictures. Minnesota invader (1) DELIGHTFULLY WILD could be tough to reel in and hey, you do not win 10 of 24 by accident; win threat. (6) DONGAL RUNDLSCRK N moves down the ladder and that could put her right in the mix; do not overlook.
Race 12
(5) SALLY FLETCHER A was the boss against Open foes at Saratoga recently. Mare moves back downstate and she should have plenty of pace to chase; can repeat if she is able to control the tempo. (2) DEWAR N SODA just could not get the job done against a fast closing All About Madi last out; main danger. (4) ITTY BITTY will need a better trip than in her last start but this mare seems capable with a better-timed run; watch out.
