Best Bet: SCOOTIN FOR JOY (2nd)
Spot Play: LACHIE MAGUIRE N (4th)
MEET STATS: 159 - 728 / $1,092.90
BEST BETS: 29 - 65 / $109.50
Race 1
(5) LUCKY MAN blasted out from the 8-hole for a half-mile, but tired badly in his latest. Veteran gets a better post and if he gets a well-judged drive, he can top these. (3) BOOGIEWOOGIEBRIAN was sent right to the front, but did not have enough gas in the tank; can atone. (2) COPPER COAST A drops a bit in class; could be a threat against these.
Race 2
(2) SCOOTIN FOR JOY Mare led every step of the way for the victory in her last try. She now moves to door number two, and the 7-year-old miss is on top of her game; repeat. (1) QUICK DRAFT A gets serious post relief; should help her cause. (7) SUES NIGHT OUT stayed in the pocket most of the way, but could not get to the winner in her last trip; player.
Race 3
(1) RAMPAGE JACKSON Gelding has a fondness for Yonkers and he returns moving to the fence for this event; gets the call. (3) GOOD DAY MATE will need a better trip to make an impact; possible. (6) BLOW A CLOUD N put in a mild rally for the show spot last time around.
Race 4
(1) LACHIE MAGUIRE N showed signs of life when he was dropping in class last week. Gelding now goes back up the scale but retains the rail and Sears is driving again. (2) TWIN B IMPRESSIVE was sent down the road however he tired in deep stretch at odds-on last week; turnaround is not out of the question. (4) AMERICAN VENTURE gets class relief; not out of this.
Race 5
(1) PIECE OF THE ROCK Easy score in his latest; 10-year-old gelding seems to like it here and he keeps the rail; clearly the one to deny. (3) MONTANA PABLO A was facing better company last time out including the fact he broke at the 3/4 pole; gets class help tonight. (5) SOUTHWIND TERROR was overmatched in his Harrington finale but should get back in the swing of things returning to Yonkers.
Race 6
(3) SECRETS OUT N moves back inside plus she is seeking his first score of the year. Mare is very capable if given a favorable trip. (1) ACEFOURTYFOUR ALEX just missed glory by a neck last time out; player. (4) BETTOR N BETTER was facing open foes upstate and now she is back at the Hilltop where she was a game second on May 7th; beware.
Race 7
(5) DR DRAKE RAMORAY has wheeled off two straight victories. Gelding seems to be on his 'A' game so the hat-trick is clearly not out of the question. (4) DREAMZZZZ R FOR U took the pocket route on his way to victory recently. (3) SAMS ESCAPE Even finish to take down fourth money last time around.
Race 8
(7) HP SISSY came too late down the stretch so she had to settle for the show spot last week. Pacing mare is good as it gets, hitting the board 9 of 15 starts this year; using. (5) BETABCOOL N moved up the cones to get the job done by a half length; main danger. (3) JAG OUT put in a mild rally for third money in her recent try.
Race 9
(5) BONFIRE BLISS was hung-out to dry in his last trip to the post. 9-year-old veteran knows how to greet the cameraman for pictures. With the right trip, he can make tonight a winning one. (3) LETTUCEROCKU A draws much better; has every right to return to his winning ways. (1) BET THE MOON was sent down the road last out for his second straight score.
Race 10
(7) COUSIN MARY was just a little short for glory in her last start. She does have good speed to overcome the 7-hole and has 7 victories this year; the pick. (8) JACLYN HANOVER did not fire in her recent outing but she is good enough to contend with this group. (1) BROWN BRINNY is knocking at the door based on her last two starts and now she draws the rail; not out of this.
Race 11
(1) DO YOUR JOB was dull from post seven, so good to see this 6-year-old miss with the rail slot. At her best, she can take this. (2) TIPITINA She is very consistent with good speed; big factor. (8) MACH IT A PAR takes another drop in class, but will have to get it done from door number eight; possible.
Race 12
(3) LOVINEVERYMINUTE did not race badly when this gal dropped in class last week. She stays in same condition plus mare has the tactical speed to pick them, up and lay them down. (6) SKIPPIN BY Sharp pacing miss is knocking at the door for win honors and Brennan keeps the faith; threat. (7) ALL ABOUT MADI will need a better trip to contend in here; possible.
