Best Bet: ANN HILL (6th)
Spot Play: DELILAH DE VIE (1st)
MEET STATS: 149 - 668 / $1,031.50
BEST BETS: 28 - 60 / $107.30
Race 1
(3) DELILAH DE VIE did show life in her latest and this filly has three scores this year; can boss these at her best. (6) OSPREY BLUE CHIP took the pocket route on her way to victory recently. (1) LEGIO X EQUESTRIS gets serious post relief and that should help her cause; we shall see.
Race 2
(3) MAGIC FORCES raced evenly in her last try so that might be an indication this filly can put her best foot forward. (6) SHESAROCKER did not race badly at the Meadowlands last week and now she moves back to Yonkers where she was a sharp second two starts back. (7) BESTGIRLFRIENDEVER closed strongly in her latest to grab the score.
Race 3
(2) THE ONLYEST ONE Gelding is clearly knocking at the door based on his last two outings. With a well judged drive from Mr. Brennan, he can make his return to the winner's circle. (6) J C ONTHEBEACH got the job done last out via the pocket; post hurts tonight but he is capable. (7) FEEL THE NEED A flashed good speed most of the way before tiring in the stretch drive last time around; don't overlook.
Race 4
(4) PLAYING FAVORITES did show good early pace last time out but she tried in the stretch run. Sophomore miss is good enough to make a quick turnaround with a favorable trip; possible. (2) CLEAR IDEA is on a roll scoring her fourth straight victory recently; dangerous. (1) OBVIOUS BLUE CHIP should be right in the mix from the rail; not out of this.
Race 5
(6) QUEEN JOSEPHINE was uncovered at the 3/4 pole and missed glory by a length last time out. She has good speed and if she minds her manners, this filly can boss these down the road. (2) WORLD APART Sharp in her last three tries makes this gal a solid contender. (1) MARQUESA SEELSTER took charge right from the start and never looked back in her last start at Saratoga; watch out.
Race 6
(4) ANN HILL rallied strongly to nail down the victory in her last try. Sophomore seems to be in winning form so with another fine effort, the rest will have to settle for minor awards. (3) TOUCHAMATIC has hit the board in her last four outings and figures to a big threat in here. (1) ROARING TO GO just missed glory by 1/2 length last out; don't overlook her from the fence.
Race 7
(1) BETABCOOL N Mare did show signs of life in her last trip to the post and now she will get the services of Bartlett where they have had good success here; the pick. (8) MEDUSA was sent down the road in her last one for all the glory; player despite the move to the 8-hole. (4) LEASE NESS MONSTER has been good in her last three starts; must be considered in the exotic picture.
Race 8
(1) SOFT IDEA took charge right from the gate in her latest but did not have enough gas in the tank. Mare moves to the fence and Bartlett has the assignment; can take this at her best. (4) VORST is knocking at the door based on her last three tries. (5) SCOOTIN FOR JOY has been quite good in her last three starts and she should have a say in the outcome.
Race 9
(4) BARRYS SHELBY has put in three fine starts in a row and this gelding appears to be heading in the right direction; threat for win honors. (1) INDY INGOT gets post relief and that should help his cause; maybe. (2) DONTCALLMEFRANCIS has tactical speed and he should get involved against these; watch out.
Race 10
(6) REAL ILLUSION showed good speed but tired in the stretch drive last time out. Gelding does have a score here three trips ago so he is very capable of getting the job done. (4) BONFIRE BLISS was late on the scene to grab the victory last time out; dangerous for the repeat. (1) DRUNKEN DESIRE A Gelding should fare much better from the fence; we shall see.
Race 11
(4) COUSIN MARY was sent down the road in her last trip but tired in deep stretch to hold on for fourth money. She has 11 wins out of 18 starts this year so there is room for improvement. (6) SO NICE got the job done against Open foes upstate last time out and she must be considered against this group. (3) ELM GROVE INARUSH was second best up at Plainridge last out and she could move forward; watch out.
Race 12
(1) MADE OF JEWELS AS retains the rail and gets serious class relief. Mare can be the boss over this group. (2) NEWBORN SASSY got the job done at the Big M last time out and this pacing mare seems to be a big threat against these. (5) JACLYN HANOVER took the pocket route on her way to victory in her Philly finale; beware.
