(3) RAINBOW ROMANCE N was sharp against better last out and the gelding has every right to put his best foot forward. (2) P H KENNY has put in two fair efforts at Philly; main danger. (1) DAKOTA JACK seems to like this level and just missed the score by 3/4 length; not out of this.
Race 2
(6) FORT VALLEY AS moves back to the NW10000 ranks and Bartlett stays in the sulky. Trotter can top these wire to window. (1) LONG STORY SHORT was very game for the place spot last time around and this veteran is a player in here. (4) CHARLES VII showed life in his Philly finale; watch out.
Race 3
(8) TYBER TYKE moves down in class seeking his fourth score of the year but will have to get it done from the far outside slot; very capable. (2) SPORTSMANSHIP put in a mild bid in his recent outing; contender. (7) MASTERSON just missed the victory at Monticello last out and the gelding now is back downstate where he does have a fondness for the Hilltop; beware.
Race 4
(5) FIRE IN MY HEART Trotter was quite game holding on for place money last time around and he can put his best foot forward against these. (2) DIAL A CHIC got the job done at Plainridge last time out and he has good speed to contend in here. (4) HILLOSOPHICAL She moves down in class and that might help her cause; we shall see.
Race 5
(1) VILLAGE JESSICA was second best against tougher in her recent trip to the post and now she retains the rail; can top these with Sears at the controls. (3) LOVINEVERYMINUTE was nailed for win honors at Pocono last time around; main danger. (2) CHEYENNE ROBIN Mare gets serious post relief and she has a good chance to make some noise in here.
Race 6
(4) MACH IT PAR Gets a better post to work with and the pacing mare clearly figures in this event. Favorable trip can put her right back into the winner's circle. (5) PURE COUNTRY Millionaire makes her 2017 debut off two nice qualifiers; big threat. (7) FREEZE OUT came down the center of the track to grab her fifth straight victory last time out; post hurts but is capable of six in a row.
Race 7
(5) RUN AND TELL PAP leaves door number eight and is on the dropdown. Trotting gelding can get back on the right track with a well judged drive from MacDonald. (3) NOBLE WARRAWEE was outside turning for home but could not get to the winner in his latest; threat. (1) SUMATRA stays on the fence and gets Sears; could have a say in the outcome.
Race 8
(6) DIVAS IMAGE Clearly she is knocking at the door and was a good second in the Noble Memorial in Ohio last out; gets the call. (5) HIDDEN LAND moves back to the 5-hole where she got the job done two trips ago; main danger. (2) SASSA HANOVER was a fair third last out and she could be right in the mix.
Race 9
(3) KAMWOOD LAUGHTER N Solid and sharp in her last two outings and now this pacing mare can make her return to the winner's circle with a favorable trip. (1) PURRFECT BAGS was facing Open foes at Harrington and was a good second in her recent trip to the post; main danger. (4) ANNABETH gets post relief and that might help her cause; maybe.
Race 10
(6) MOSTINTERESTINGMAN has hit the board 10 of 13 starts this year and clearly the trotting gelding has tactical speed; at his best he can get the job done. (8) CENTURION ATM returns to the NW8 ranks where the 5-year-old was the boss two starts back; big factor. (1) OOH RAH has wheeled off two straight victories at Pocono; must be considered in the exotics.
Race 11
(5) LACHIE MAGUIRE N moves back into a winning level where he was nailed for the score three starts back but this gelding could be ready for a sharp effort against these; the pick. (2) LIVE ON Gelding put in a fine qualifier here last week and figures to be in the mix with Bartlett at the helm. (3) BJS GUY gets a better post to work with and he can't be counted out of this.
