Race 1 – $20,000 Claiming

(7) DO OVER HANOVER moves to the Allard barn via claim and could be eligible to wake up in a hurry. (4) BELIEVEINTHESPIRIT raced very well versus similar last out and looks to have a big chance as Kakaley’s choice. (1) RECORD MACHINE drops in class for Banca off a very disappointing effort. (3) DOJEA SOLO was comically overbet last out and tired after being shuffled.

Race 2 – Matchmaker – Mares FFA

(1) SHARTIN N swept the field with a breathtaking rally in her 2020 debut and the Horse of the Year gets a major post edge on her rival (5) CAVIART ALLY. The latter ended last season defeating Shartin N and she also was a winner in her 2020 debut; these two should offer up some fun races this year. (7) MAJOR OCCASION A has banked over $60K already this season and is obviously loaded with talent; tough post will relegate her to a smaller share. (2) SANDY WIN is arguably in career form for Chuck Connor, Jr.

Race 3 – NW7500 in last 5 starts

(6) OFFICIAL DELIGHT had a pretty productive seasonal debut for Garcia-Herrera and now he gets leading driver Bartlett in the bike. (3) THE LUNCH PAIL was much-improved upon dropping to this level; threat. (2) YACHT WEEK tired in the late stages last out chasing the sharp winner but the Burke trainee still should be considered a major player here. (4) ALBERTO CONTADOR N gets much-needed post relief and Tetrick is listed to drive.

Race 4 – Matchmaker – Mares FFA

(4) BETTOR JOY N is the “other” mare from the Shartin N connections but she more than holds her own, with almost $250K banked last season. She’s well-spotted tonight. (6) APPLE BOTTOM JEANS has a solid local history…only problem here is the post. (3) SNOBBYTOWN is a bit less seasoned than some of the others in here but there’s no denying her talent. (2) LADY DELA RENTA A was Bartlett’s choice over a good Banca trainee.

Race 5 - $25,000 Claiming

(5) DREAM OUT LOUD N basically toured the track from the eight hole coming back from vacation but he was on a big form spree towards the end of last season and the oldtimer still seems competitive; he should be a healthy price in this competitive event. (4) LINKJACK HANOVER and (7) WICK N are both entering new barns while in good form; contenders. (3) ARI ALLSTAR has amazingly won five races already this year for Carl Tirella, who is somehow batting over .500.

Race 6 – Matchmaker – Mares FFA

(3) KAITLYN N won her initial two seasonal starts for Banca in stellar fashion then broke last start when within striking distance; with a smooth trip she can get the job done here. (5) SOHO BURNING LOVE A is fresh Down-Under stock for Jim King and she’s already made an impression in two starts at Dover. (2) SEASWIFT JOY N needed last week’s start and will be more involved here. (4) SHECANDANCE N has a great win record but gets tested for class tonight.

Race 7 – F&M NW15000 in last 5 starts

(1) MAGIC FORCES has looked much, much better in her last two and seems the one to beat here. (2) FRANSCHOEK is reunited with Bartlett, who does good things when driving for this barn. (5) VORST has good speed in her arsenal which can get her in play. (4) BERAZZLED was way overbet last week and didn’t fire; price goes up tonight.

Race 8 – NW10000 in last 5 starts

(6) WESTERN BEACHBOY was in a bit tough in his last two facing $40K claimers but the DiDomenico trainee hit the board in his last two at this level. (2) WHOS BETTER was collared by the trip-sitting (4) SOHO LEVIATHAN A last week; both are moving up a notch but can be competitive here. (5) MAGRITTE has been okay recently an seems overdue for a win.

Race 9 – F&M NW15000 in last 5 starts

(2) SHES PUKKA N is one I’ve been following for a while now and she’s been unable to break through into the win column; Croghan trainee will get there eventually. (5) JOSSIE JAMES A was a big disappointment last out as the odds-on favorite. These two seem to be a step above the rest…”all” button for third?

Race 10 – F&M NW20000 in last 5 starts

(1) NEVERFORGETWHOUR easily disposed of the field last week with a well-rated score; she faces a bit better here but could be up to the task. (5) MILLIONDOLLARGEM A has been racing better in all recent starts and as previously mentioned I expect the Lance Hudson barn to start heating up. (2) SALLY FLETCHER A was a nice winner right off the bench for Godinez. (5) HP SISSY was empty facing Open types when last here but she returns at a reduced level off a win at her home base at Buffalo.

Race 11 – NW15000 in last 5 starts

(7) MARLEY’S GUY was a winner the last time Brennan was in the bike and there doesn’t seem to be a ton of early speed to his inside; worth a look. (4) MIAMI is one that may show some speed off the gate, if he can mind his manners. (6) SECRET BRO is winless on the season but has been racing well. (2) ARMAGEDON SEELSTER is up a notch in class off a second-place finish as the odds-on favorite.

Race 12 – F&M NW30000 in last 5 starts

(3) BA BA BA BANANA found herself a little outclassed at the Open level but she gets to face a bit softer tonight; Clegg trainee has come a long way in a hurry. (2) WISHY WASHY GIRL gets Bartlett in the bike and should be in line for a good trip. (7) MACHNHOPE has raced well since arriving from Canada; only problem here is the post. (4) SANDY’S BEACH has finished second in her last four starts.
