(6) OUR REGAL IDEAL N did show speed in his latest. Draws the 6-hole and if he gets a favorable trip he can make tonight a winning one. (5) SKYWAY BOOMER closed strongly to land the victory in his last start; big threat again. (1) GYPSY LEATHER was sent down the road recently for the score; dangerous from the fence.
Race 2
(7) MONEY MAVEN was a game second in his last try. Veteran trotter seems to be heading in the right direction, so despite the rise in class he can put his best foot forward against these. (2) BUEN CAMINO missed a week but he is coming off a wire to wire score on 2/15; main danger. (3) SOUTHWIND CRUZE took charge right from the start on his way to glory last time out; must be considered.
Race 3
(8) AMATEUR HOUR flashed speed against tougher in her last try. Mare does not get the best of the draw, however she moves down the ladder and has the positional speed to grab an ideal stalking trip; using. (3) BROWN BRINNY had trouble at the start and was put up from fourth to third in her recent outing; big threat. (7) JEWELS FORREAL is knocking at the door based on her last two trips to the post; watch out.
Race 4
(4) QUEEN JOSEPHINE gets a better post than in her last one. Pacing miss does know how to win here so if she is at her best she can greet the cameraman for pictures. (5) MACH IT A PAR has put in two solid efforts in a row; respect. (3) SEASWIFT JOY N was late on the scene to nail down the victory in her last start; not out of this.
Race 5
(1) SHOW THE FASHION put in a mild rally for the show spot last time around. Gelding moves to the fence which very much puts him in the ballpark for win honors. (5) CHEYENNE JEFFREY is on a roll coming out of two consecutive victories; will be a handful again. (2) BEYONDTHESILENCE N showed signs of life in his latest; do not overlook.
Race 6
(3) DONGAL RUNDLSCRK N could not get past a tough Lispatty in her last try, but she looks good enough off that effort to move forward against this select group. (6) BETTORS UP rallied strongly to grab the show spot in her latest; must be respected. (1) BETTIM JACKIE has fine speed, drops a bit in class and draws the rail; respect.
Race 7
(6) TIDQUIST closed well for show money in his last start. Gelding should get an honest pace to chase so he is worth consideration to mow these down when the smoke clears. (3) BARRY BLACK has put in two good efforts in a row at this level; big threat. (2) ALWAYS A GOOD TIME gets post relief and that should help his cause.
Race 8
(3) ALDINE HANOVER did not fire as the even money favorite at Dover last out, but the good news is she moves back to Yonkers where the pacing mare has the best success; choice. (2) LISPATTY comes off an impressive score last out so she must be respected once again. (7) BETTERB CHEVRON N was late on the scene from the 8-hole last out to grab the show spot; consider.
Race 9
(3) A CRAFTY LADY was facing Open foes at Saratoga last out and took home second money. She has done very well at the Hilltop and she will get the services of Bartlett; the pick. (2) COVEREDNDIAMONDS N is clearly knocking at the door and she just missed the victory by only a neck last out. (1) JK JAZZITUP put in a sharp qualifier here on 2/22 as she is making her 2019 debut; dangerous from the rail.
Race 10
If you throw out his last start at Dover (2) PRINCE OF POPS N has been very consistent. Has speed but can also rate and make one run and it is good to see Brennan with the assignment since he did have other options; gets the call. (6) RURAL ART was sent down the road but ran out of gas in deep stretch last time around; big player. (7) SOMEWHERENBROOKLYN N qualifier was not that bad as he is making his 2019 debut; do not overlook.
Race 11
(6) POPPY DRAYTON N did not have the best of trips in her last start against better company. Pacing mare should fit well in this condition. Outside draw but she has tactical speed of her own, so a forward trip would give her an edge. (4) JANUARY A moves up the scale off two sharp victories here; must be respected. (1) BELLATRICKS took charge from the start on her way to glory last out; consider from the rail.
Race 12
(2) TREMENDOUS PLAY gets the luck of the draw and he was a sharp second two starts back against tougher, so if he is at his best gelding can get the job done over this group. (1) CHACHING HANOVER is knocking at the door based on his last two tries; factor. (3) BRAVO TEX N has put in two solid efforts at the Meadowlands so he does have a right to move forward.
