MEET STATS: 37 - 179 / $200.80
BEST BETS: 3 - 16 / $16.70
Race 1
(5) SHOW THE FASHION might have been used up in the early stages last time around. Gelding will get some pace to chase and hopefully he could be able to use his tactical speed to his best advantage. (3) BEYONDTHESILENCE N did not race badly in his latest and seems to fit enough to contend with these. (7) WESTERN DYNASTY did not fire at odds-on recently but if he gets away cleanly he could make some serious noise in here.
Race 2
(6) DOG GONE LUCKY just missed the victory last time around and based on his last three trips he is clearly knocking at the door. If he is able to run back to that last one he's going to be very tough indeed. (1) HASHTAGEMADEYALOOK did not have the best of trips in his latest but now he moves to the fence and that should help his cause. (4) BIG BILL BREEZE was sent down the road for the victory in his Freehold finale. Should make his presence felt if he is able to control the tempo.
Race 3
(7) BELLATRICKS seems to be heading in the right direction and she should be able to handle door number seven. Figures to be prominent from the start once again. (3) TRUTH AND LIBERTY rallied strongly to miss glory by three quarters of a length last time out. Expecting improvement if she gets a better setup then in she did in last trip. (4) BROWN BRINNY has put in two good efforts in a row and with that said she is not out of this by far.
Race 4
(6) VANQUISHED N leaves the 8-hole for door number six and gelding does have a second-place finish at the level. Can pull off the upset with a well-timed run. (3) FIREBALL ran a good third in his last try so he could put his best foot forward against these. (4) ART HISTORY seems to be coming around with his placing last time out. Consider despite the rise in class.
Race 5
(6) TRIPLE SEELSTER did not fire in his last start but clearly the gelding is better than his latest. Has the positional speed to work out an ideal stalking trip and can mow these down with Brennan at the helm. (2) CHEYENNE JEFFREY put in a sharp effort for win honors last time out. Could be tough to reel in with a repeat performance. (1) ADONIS BAY seems to have a fondness for the rail. He must be considered in all of the exotic slots.
Race 6
Pacing mare (4) BETTIM JACKIE is on a roll with her third straight victory. Moves up in class but based on her winning form she should have no problem and the half-mile oval should suit her well. Sharp and consistent (7) DELIGHTFULMEMPHISN just got up for her second consecutive victory. Appears to be a big threat if she is able to run back to her latest. (8) BETTERB CHEVRON N did not fire at odds on last time around but she is clearly better then her last flop so she must be considered in this event.
Race 7
Based on his last try (4) LIFE WELL LIVED is heading in the right direction and this trotter does know how to win at the Hilltop. With a well-judged drive from Mr. MacDonald they could greet the cameraman for pictures. ((5) DRAZZMATAZZ gets serious post relief and that should help this trotter's chances in here. (1) NO RECESS has hit the board in his last three tries so he must be respected from the fence and Brennan at the controls.
Race 8
(4) ELLA MICHELLE A was uncovered at the three-quarter marker and that could have cost her a shot at glory last time around. If veteran mare could get a favorable trip she can make tonight a winning one. (3) JEWEL LEHIGH A did not fire in her latest but she can handle these kind of pacing mares and she will get the services of Bartlett. (2) LISPATTY put in a sharp qualifier here on 2/15 for her 2019 debut so basically she is not out of this from door number two.
Race 9
(1) SWEETNFAMOUS gets serious post relief and she does have good early zip. Can be dangerous if she gets away cleanly. (3) JANUARY A closed well for her first North American victory last time around. Does fit with these if she is able to run back to her last try. (4) WISHY WASHY GIRL is knocking at the door based on her last three outings.
Race 10
(5) REGIL ELEKTRA is in search of that elusive 2019 win and she did show signs of life in her last trip to the post. Bartlett takes over the veteran mare and hopefully she will get the favorable trip that will put her back into the winner's circle. (1) MACH IT A PAR took the pocket route in her last try for win honors. Retains the fence which very much puts her in the ballpark for the repeat. (4) MADE OF JEWELS AS took charge at the quarter pole on her way to victory last time out. Stays in same condition so she must be respected for the double score.
Race 11
(5) LONE RAIDER goes for new barn but retains Stratton. Gelding went the long mile so his night was done last time out. He does fit well at the condition so he stands to improve if he could get away cleanly. (1) RURAL ART took them down the road for all the glory last time out for his second straight victory. Sharp and consistent gelding moves now to the rail seeking the hat trick so he looms very tough here with Brennan with the assignment. (4) FIRST CLASS HORSE did not have the best of trips last out but he was a wire-to wire victor two starts ago at this level so watch out.
Race 12
(6) CONTROL TOWER put in a game effort but could not get past the winner in his last trip to the post. Pacing gelding might have found a home in the NW20000 ranks so with that said if he is at his best he can mow these down when the smoke clears. (4) ROCK N BLUE made a quarter move to the front and never looked back for win honors recently. Worth major consideration despite the rise in condition. (2) VORACITY gets post relief and that should help his cause.
