Race 1
(1) ARDIE B SPEED closed strongly to land the show spot in his last try. Gets serious post relief and Brennan is keeping the faith; using. (3) SHOW THE FASHION figures to appreciate the half-mile oval and he did show speed in his latest at the Meadowlands. (4) VEGAS ROCKS might find this group to his liking and gets the services of Bartlett; not out of this.
Race 2
(3) LILYS SWAN POND has wheeled off two straight victories and he appears to be a winning threat for the hat trick if he is able to stay close. (6) BARRY BLACK surged very late to get up for show honors; main danger. (2) ALWAYS A GOOD TIME moves down the ladder and gets post relief; expecting improvement.
Race 3
(3) LETTUCEROCKTHEM A seems to be the class of this group and he should make his presence felt if he is able to control the tempo. (6) OURLITTLEGENERAL A did not get the job done at odds-on last out but he does fit well in here; consider. (1) GOTTA MINUTE N was a good second in his Saratoga finale and he stays on the fence; merits respect.
Race 4
(5) SHESJUSTADELIGHT N did not have the best of trips last out but clearly she is much better at this level. Outside draw but she has tactical speed of her own, so a forward trip would give her an edge. (4) JEWEL LEHIGH A is heading in the right direction and it is good to see Bartlett at the controls; dangerous. (1) FROST DAMAGE BLUES was a game second in her Meadowlands finale and now she moves to the rail; may like it here.
Race 5
(5) SAIL TO THE BEACH has not raced badly in her last three trips to the post. She should get an honest pace to chase and mow these down when the smoke clears. Based on her last two (3) BROWN BRINNY is very capable of putting her best foot forward. (2) SALLY FLETCHER A put in a sharp qualifier at the Meadowlands on 12/19; can fire at first asking.
Race 6
(1) AMATEUR HOUR surged very late to get up on the wire last time around. Mare has speed but can also rate and make one run; the one to deny. (3) ITTY BITTY has put in two sharp efforts at the Big M so she must be respected. (5) WISHY WASHY GIRL was late on the scene from door number 8 to grab the show spot recently; do not overlook.
Race 7
(1) NATURAL LEDA did not have the best of trips last time out but now the gelding catches a weak group and stays on the fence. Can take this with a well-timed run. (2) TRIPLE SEELSTER could not get past the winner in his last one. He seems to be heading in the right direction and Brennan stays; main danger. (4) WE THINK ALIKE showed signs of life in his latest and it is good to see Bartlett at the helm; watch out.
Race 8
(4) SKYFUL OF LIGHTERS was fourth best in his last start was good against $25 claimers but with the right kind of trip he could make tonight a winning one. (1) LONE RAIDER was sent down the road in his last start for all the glory; merits respect for the repeat. (8) FIRST CLASS HORSE has two consecutive victories so now if he's good enough for the hat trick he must get it done from door number eight; capable.
Race 9
(3) BETABCOOL N has been facing open foes at Saratoga and she seems to be a perfect fit in this condition; the pick with Bartlett in the bike. (2) SHEZ SUGARSWEET A is very consistent hitting the board and based on her versatility she appears to be a serious threat. (1) ROCKIN THE BOYS A just ran out of gas but she did hold on for the placing last out; worth consideration.
Race 10
(6) SHADY CITY has done quite well in 2018 and he does have a solid second-place finish here on 12/4; looms very tough. (3) MR HASANI N just missed the score in his last start. Veteran should make some serious noise with another sharp effort. (2) BLACK CHEVRON N had a good qualifier at Monticello on 1/3 and could find this group to his liking; worth a shot.
