Brewster Smith|Oct 18, 2017
Yonkers logo

Best Bet: LACHIE MAGUIRE N (1st)

Spot Play: NOBLE WARRAWEE (4th)

MEET STATS: 247 - 1004 / $1,529.00

BEST BETS: 43 - 88 / $165.00

Race 1

(3) LACHIE MAGUIRE N Gelding seems to be heading in the right direction. With a well judged drive, he can make tonight a winning one. (4) EIGHTEEN gets serious post relief and most likely will be on the engine; big threat. (7) CAMTURO ROCK has wheeled off two straight victories; post hurts but he is capable.

Race 2

(4) COVERT OPERATIVE Trotter will try the half-mile oval in order to get back to the winner’s circle and the trainer will go with his main-man Brennan; the pick. (6) CHARLES VII was sent down the road last out for all the glory; will have to step it up from door number six but he seems to be a factor. (2) PICTURE THIS should find these to his liking so watch out.

Race 3

(3) JOE HILL raced evenly for third money in his latest. Pacer appears to be ready to make an impact in this event if given a favorable trip; gets the call. (6) AMERICAN VENTURE took the pocket route on his way to victory recently and now he will try for the hat trick from the 6-hole; can't be dismissed. (4) JK HEAVEN SENT was a sharp second in his Philly finale; not out of this.

Race 4

(4) NOBLE WARRAWEE Very game for the place spot last time around and despite the rise in class, this gelding has every right to mow them down with Brennan at the helm. (1) BASTILLE took them down the road recently for all the glory; dangerous again. (6) RUN AND TELL PAP has put in three good efforts in a row so this one must be considered in all the exotic slots.

Race 5

(4) JACLYN HANOVER Mare did not fire in her last trip to the post but the good news is she moves back to the 4-hole where she took home top prize; ready for action. (2) ANALYZE has hit the board in her last four tries and she fits well in there; big threat. (6) VORST came up the fence to get the job done in her last start; watch out again.

Race 6

(8) CAVIART CARI ANN showed sharp speed in her last trip. Mare gets a tough slot to greet the cameraman for pictures however she does know how to win from out there; capable. (4) BARYNYA A is knocking at the door based on her last two starts; player. (2) ARMBRO COURAGE N gets a good post and that might help her cause; maybe.

Race 7

(2) MOSTINTERESTINGMAN trotter broke at the 1/4 pole and lost all chance. Now he moves to door number two and clearly fits with these trotters. At his best he could top these. (5) AUSPICIOUS HANOVER Sharp for the placing last out; could move forward. (1) MADMAN HALL With a better trip he could contend with these from the fence; watch out.

Race 8

Will try (6) NEWBORN SASSY to get back into the swing of things. Mare did not fire in her Philly finale but she returns to the Hilltop where she had better success; gets the call. (4) MACH IT A PAR was nailed for the victory in her last start; quite dangerous. (2) HP SISSY returns to the open ranks off a down-the-road score last out; don't overlook.

Race 9

(3) GADSDEN HANOVER gets a better post tonight and she gets the return of Bartlett at the controls. So with a comfortable trip she could mow them down for top honors. (5) HIDDEN LAND was on the front most of the way but ran out of gas in deep stretch in her recent outing; big threat. (2) PASULTIMATEDELITE N is back at Yonkers and it's good to see Brennan back in the sulky; not out of this.

Race 10

(3) WE THINK ALIKE drops a notch in class and the gelding seems to have a fondness at this level with a sharp victory four starts back; primed to top these. (1) MEETYOUATMIDNIGHT goes back to the fence where the gelding was a sharp second two trips ago; major player. (2) STARSKYS DREAM N Based on his last start, this 7-year-old has every right to put his best foot forward; beware.

Race 11

(5) DOT DOT DOT DASH has put in two good efforts at this level so this pacing miss is knocking at the door to greet the cameraman for pictures. (2) LUCK O THE IRISH Sharp qualifier at Pocono puts this gal right in the mix. (1) DELCREST MASSY drops in class and gets serious post relief; must be respected.

Race 12

(1) TIPITINA was sharp in the pocket for win honors last time around. Now pacing mare moves to the fence and despite the rise in class this gal is capable of getting the job done over this group. (3) SAIL TO THE BEACH leaves the open ranks and finds a better spot to contend; dangerous. (2) VENUS DELIGHT Game for win honors via the pocket last time out so she must be considered in all the exotic slots.
