Race 1 - 12500CLM Pace

(1) QUICK ASA TRICK N makes his fourth start out of a high-percentage barn tonight and was a pretty solid third to the sharp Allgonowhoa from first-over on 8-31. (3) FAST ON THE DRAW sat on the cones in the monsoon last Wednesday and finished with some late interest. He drew well again tonight. (8) LANAS DESIRE has won the last two times he's got to partner with Jordan Stratton, and that's the case here. I'll use underneath from the eight-hole.

Race 2 - NW7500L5/Winners in Last Start of the Base Class NW5000L5/15000CLM Trot

(2) WISENHEIMER invades from Pocono where he was racing at higher levels than this one and trainer Jenny Melander is having an excellent season at Yonkers this year. (3) EV'S GIRL finished with trot in her second appearance out of the Ron Burke barn on 8-25 and drops and moves inside on the gate tonight. (6) WHETHER OR NOT FI overcame post eight to finish second against NW5000L5's on August 25 and is usable given his good history at Yonkers.

Race 3 - F&M NW2/25000LT Pace

(1) RENATUS was a gaining second two back in this class and had no shot from post eight against NW4's last time out. She drew the pole position tonight and picked up Joe Bongiorno, making her worth a swing. (3) CATIE FAYE HANOVER has been racing well at a variety of venues in New York and Pennsylvania. In her one local try versus NW4's on 8-4, she was a gaining second at long odds. (2) HELLRUNNER HANOVER is a shipper from The Meadows into the Gil Garcia-Herrera barn. She's won just once but has nine second- and third-place results, so I'll include.

Race 4 - F&M NW5000/12500CLM Pace

(5) SANDY'S BEACH has a drop/post relief combination in her third start for Joe and Jenn Bongiorno. (1) TEMPUS SEELSTER is a newcomer from Hawthorne. She was a regular in their Open class, so I think the NW5000L5 level at Yonkers is probably right up her alley, and she ships into the sharp Erv Miller barn. She also has Stratton to drive. (3) ISLAY N had some luck at the draw this time and has hit the board in four of her last six.

Race 5 - F&M NW4/50000LT Pace

(6) CAPTAINANDTELLY came up just a head shy of winning against NW4's at Pocono last time out and has paced back-to-back sub 28 second last quarters. (1) DC BATGIRL gets to exit New York Sire Stakes company for an overnight race here. (4) DEL DIGGITY picked up her game at Pocono after going to Garcia-Herrera and has post relief tonight after starting from the eight-hole on 8-25.

Race 6 - 25000CLM Pace

(1) KILLER MARTINI seemed like he turned a corner last time out for the Bongiornos with a rallying second-place finish and now has post one. (8) EFFRONTE A plummets out of the $50,000 claimers after a poor result on 8-9. The time off, the drop, and the outside draw all look like red flags, but he may just be too classy if he's anything close to 100 percent. (6) HAPPY TRIO wasn't Dan Dube's choice in this race, but that was a handy win against $20,000 claimers on August 17 and trainer Izzy Estrada is always capable of sending out a live horse.

Race 7 - 30000CLM Pace

(4) KASEY JOHN A finished as the runner-up in his second start out of the Nick Devita barn on 8-16. I'll look for further improvement here and put on top. (2) PACING MAJOR N finished second as the favorite against $40,000 claimers on August 16 and now drops a level. That's a little bit concerning to me, as is the fact that he's only made ten starts over the last two seasons. (8) ROCK THE NITE might be the one to beat even from the outside, but I think the poor draw is a good reason to try and knock him off.

Race 8 - F&M NW5000L5/12500CLM Pace

(7) MORNING HAS BROKEN is a newcomer from Canada. She was racing capably for Luc and Anita Ouellette up there and now enters the Bongiorno barn. This looks like a field she could make an immediate impact against. (5) WINDSONG PARISIAN kicked home in 27 and change on 8-26 and now gets a second chance against bottom level rivals from a better post. (4) FREE EXCHANGE enters off a third-place finish, and trainer Lance Hudson's horses have been pretty live as of late.

Race 9 - NW10000L5/Winners in Last Start of the Base Class NW7500L5/20000CLM Trot

(5) LUCKY MATTER qualified well at The Meadows on 8-31 and now heads east into the sharp Travis Alexander barn. Add in that he gets Stratton and catches a group that hasn't exactly been setting the world on fire, and that's enough for me. (3) HOMER HALL performed the best last time out of the several horses dropping out of the NW15000L5 level in this race. He's not always Mr. Reliable, but if he minds his manners, he'll be a threat. (4) FULL RIGHTS makes his second start back after a layoff and his early speed is always dangerous.

Race 10 - F&M NW6/75000LT Pace

(4) CAPTAINS MAID gets major post relief after starting from the eight-hole at Harrah's Philadelphia last time and is another contender for the Bongiornos tonight. (8) DELITFULCATHERIN N hasn't lost yet in the U.S. and looked good in her Pocono qualifier behind the likes of Western Fame. She was also Dube's choice. (7) ELLAGATOR is pretty win-shy but did gain to finish second a couple weeks back.

Race 11 - NW10000L5/Winners in Last Start of the Base Class NW7500L5/20000CLM Trot

(1) WARRAWEE SHIPSHAPE finally has an inside draw after having post six three times and post seven once in his last four efforts. I'll take a chance with him. (3) CASINO CUTIE IT showed the ability to finish second against NW15000L5's two back and gets to drop out of that class tonight. (6) LIFETIME ROYALTY also slides down from the NW15000L5's in his second start after a short layoff. He also changes drivers to Dube.

Race 12 - F&M NW8500L5/Winners in Last Start of the Base Class NW5000L5/15000CLM Pace

(5) DONGAL RUNDLSCRK N feels way overdue for a start where she's put in play, and I'll bank on it coming here after she closed in 27 4/5 against NW10000L5's on 8-26. (1) TAKE ABIT OF LIFE drops and moves inside here. She's also going to have Jason Bartlett at the controls. (3) HIGH ROLLING A is another one exiting the NW10000L5's tonight. She was Stratton's choice over Take Abit Of Life.
