Race 1 - 12500CLM Pace
(3) FAST ON THE DRAW is pretty win-shy, but he does move inside on the gate after having post six twice and post eight once in his last three tries. I'll give him a shot. (2) BUGGER BRUISER delivered on the drop down to this claiming level on 8-20. He drew well tonight and remains partnered with Joe Bongiorno. (5) YS SUNSHINE was a closing second two back against $12,500 claimers at Yonkers.

Race 2 - NW10000L5/Winners in Last Start of the Base Class NW7500L5/20000CLM Trot
(2) BAZILLIONAIRE rallied nicely to defeat NW7500L5's a week ago. He does move up in class here, but he drew an inside post, and this isn't the most intimidating group at this level, so I'll go back to him. (1) BIG BOX HANOVER slides down from the NW150000L5's after finishing second. He's probably the one they'll have to beat. (4) HOBBS was the New York Sire Stakes champion last year but has found the transition from age 3 to age 4 pretty tough. He exits the same event Big Box Hanover does.

Race 3 - F&M NW2/25000LT Pace
(7) FILLY tallied in her Yonkers debut for Joe and Jenn Bongiorno last week, and I'll put her on top again, although she does start from a worse post. (5) YOUR MOMMA was second to Filly after a first-over journey and hasn't missed the board since coming in from Indiana. (2) THE KINGS QUEEN ships down from Grand River Raceway in Ontario into a high-percentage barn. She won her last start north of the border and has four victories overall in 2021.
Race 4 - 30000CLM Pace
(4) HASH-TAG SWAG will probably offer the best price out of the contenders in this race and starts from a better post than he had last week. (3) ROCK THE NITE defeated my top pick pretty handily last Wednesday and has obviously been dynamite in his last couple. (1) PACING MAJOR N finished second as the favorite against $40,000 claimers on 8-16 and now drops a level. That's a little bit concerning to me, as is the fact that he's only made ten starts over the last two seasons.
Race 5 - NW5650L5/12500CLM Trot
(7) EVITA returns to Yonkers tonight after a couple of tries down at Harrah's Philadelphia. She gets Joe Bongiorno in the bike for the first time in her fifth try for Jenn. (3) MISS YOU KELLY picked up her lone win this year the last time she got to race in this class on 6-16 and kept Austin Siegelman in the bike. (4) OOH RAH gained spots and ground in the final quarter versus NW7500L5's a week ago and slides down to the bottom level here.
Race 6 - 25000-30000CLM HCP Pace
(1) INFORCE showed speed last Wednesday but ended up getting parked. He starts from the pole here, and I'll look for him to turn the tables. (2) KINGSTONS BAD BOY defeated $20,000 claiming company in his one start for the Bongiornos on 8-24. He was claimed by trainer Gil Garcia-Herrera, and he'll shoot for the same result tonight. (5) OHIO VINTAGE is another fresh claim as Matias Ruiz took him a week ago. Let's see if any improvement can be made.
Race 7 - 25000CLM Pace
(4) KILLER MARTINI seemed like he turned a corner last Tuesday for the Bongiornos with a rallying second-place finish and is worth a shot. (3) EFFRONTE A plummets out of the $50,000 claimers after a poor result on 8-9. The time off and the drop both look like red flags, but he may just be too classy if he's anything close to 100 percent. (6) MASTERSON was not Jordan Stratton's choice here, but he slides down a notch from $30,000 claiming company and won very nicely two back.
Race 8 - F&M NW4/50000LT Pace
(5) SOCIETY JILL might have needed that start at Harrah's Philadelphia last week given the sick scratch on 8-11, and she had post seven to boot. She drew better tonight in her Yonkers return, has won over the oval before, and Jim Marohn Jr. has been piling up the wins lately. (3) PARTY QUEEN won a week ago against NW4's at Yonkers and gets to stick at the same level here. (4) SEA OF LOVE BC enters with back-to-back runner-up results in this class.
Race 9 - F&M NW4/50000LT Pace
(4) CAPTAINANDTELLY came up just a head shy of winning against NW4's at Pocono last time out and has paced back-to-back sub 28 second last quarters. (2) DC BATGIRL gets to exit New York Sire Stakes company for an overnight race here. That worked out for stablemate Party Queen a week ago. (5) CATIE FAYE HANOVER has been racing well at a variety of venues in New York and Pennsylvania. In her one local try at this level on 8-4, she was a gaining second at long odds.
Race 10 - F&M NW6/75000LT Pace
(3) DELITFULCATHERIN N went three-for-three against NW4's at Yonkers back in July and qualified back well at Harrah's Philadelphia, gaining ground in a race won by millionaire Western Fame. Add in that Dan Dube stuck with her over a Garcia-Herrera trainee, and I have to think she's ready. (2) CAPTAINS MAID gets major post relief after starting from the eight-hole at Harrah's Philadelphia last time and is another contender for the Bongiornos tonight. (4) LARJON LEAH led all the way in winning in this class a week ago and remains at the same level tonight.

Race 11 - NW10000L5/Winners in Last Start of the Base Class NW7500L5/20000CLM Trot
(2) HOMER HALL performed the best last time out of the several horses dropping out of the NW15000L5 level in this race. He's not always Mr. Reliable, but if he minds his manners, I think he's the one to beat. (4) SMALLTOWNTHROWDOWN cut the fractions but faded to third on 8-20. He obviously has a great history at Yonkers and plenty of class with over $1.1 million in the bank. (3) P L KETCHUP came in fourth in the same contest Smalltownthrowdown exits. He had a nice streak at Yonkers earlier this year, but it looks like he just worked his way too high on the ladder.
Race 12 - F&M NW5000L5/12500CLM Pace
(3) SANDY'S BEACH has a drop/post relief combination and could finish off a big night for the Bongiornos. (2) FOLLOWTHEWIND N should get back in the hunt tonight as she moves inside on the gate after having the eight and the six in her last pair. (1) ISLAY N is another one who had some luck at the draw this time and has hit the board in four of her last six.
