Race 1 - F&M 20000CLM Pace

(2) NIKASA N was a rallying second on 7-30. This is her third start out of trainer Travis Alexander's barn, and I'll look for her to get the job done. She also gets a new driver in Jason Bartlett. (1) REAL LADY SADIE owns a victory in this class back on June 18 and gained to finish in the runner-up spot as the favorite last Tuesday. (4) HARPER SEELSTER has hit the board in her last two outings in this class and gets the often-aggressive Brent Holland at the controls here.

Race 2 - F&M 20000CLM Pace

(1) SHOTGUN PERSUASION is riding a two-race win streak in this class and starts from the pole for new connections off the claim here. (2) FRONDEUR invades from Tioga with six victories in 13 trips behind the gate this year. She was Holland's choice of a pair in this tilt. (3) UNITY shows four victories at this level at Yonkers since early June, including in her last try on 7-30. She wasn't Holland's pick but lands leading driver Bartlett instead.

Race 3 - F&M 20000CLM Pace

(3) CHARMING VIXEN was game from first-over and just missed in her third-place finish last Tuesday. I'll give her a chance here and hope she still has some value. (4) SHEIKH YABOOTY N hasn't been out of the top two in six tries since early June and enters with back-to-back wins over $20,000 claimers. She has new connections here after a claim. (1) JEANSNJELLYBEANS held sway on the front-end to get a victory on 7-30 and moves in from post five to the pole position this time.

Race 4 - 30000-40000CLM HCP Pace

(5) GDS THUNDER GB makes his second start back after a layoff tonight. I think this should be a softer spot than the NW15000L5 event he was in last Tuesday. He closed out that mile in 28 seconds, which I like to see, and he gets a driver switch to Jordan Stratton. (6) OZONE BLUE CHIP saw his run of top-two finishes end when he had a difficult trip on 7-29. He goes for new connections tonight after being claimed again, and I could see him bouncing right back. (1) PASSA-GRILLE BEACH defeated $30,000 claimers at Yonkers on July 12 and was very game when he just missed by a nose at the Meadowlands most recently.

Race 5 - NW of 2 but not more than 5 PM Races or 60000LT Trot

(5) HIGH LIFE gets reunited with Holland tonight and moves in from post eight to the five-hole. He should continue to offer value, and I'll hope for an aggressive approach against this field that seems to lack early speed. (3) STRONGERWITHLINDY returns after appearing twice at Harrah's Philadelphia. He broke when last seen here on 7-6 but was racing well in this class prior to that miscue. (8) CUSTOM FIT got the worst of the draw but did tally at this level three starts back and was third most recently despite suffering interference early in the mile.

Race 6 - F&M 20000CLM Pace

(3) AINTNOHOLLABACKGRL didn't have much of a chance from post seven last Tuesday but she did gain ground in the last quarter. She moves inside on the gate here and meets up with a wide-open group. (2) PINK RUBY is in sharp form but has had to settle for second or third in her last five starts. I'll play against given that profile as I think she'll offer very low odds. (5) MICHELLE'S JAZZ doesn't show any super-obvious form but does add Bartlett tonight, and that alone can often get one going the right direction.

Race 7 - NW5000L5/12500CLM Pace

(5) COIN FLIP shows just a one-for-24 mark in the win column this year but catches a field here that lacks a standout, makes his third start for a high percentage barn and switches drivers to Holland. (2) MARLBANK ROAD hasn't gotten a check since his win over NW7500L5 foes on May 22 but slides down to the bottom level tonight and I know he's going to wake up at some point. (4) MY CARBON COPY N takes a second crack at the NW5000L5 class for trainer/driver Pat Lachance after finishing a gaining fourth on 7-26.

Race 8 - 20000CLM Pace

(1) BIG BAD BILL downed a heavy favorite at the Meadowlands on 7-20 and gets significant post relief tonight off his fifth-place effort from the nine-hole in an amateur race most recently. (4) QUATRAIN BLUE CHIP got away too far back and couldn't threaten on July 27. He did close out his mile in 28 seconds flat, though, and he hit the board twice in this class before that. (5) B COOL FOOL picks up Bartlett tonight for the first time since they partnered for a victory over NW5000L5 foes at Yonkers in mid-June.

Race 9 - NW7500L5/Winners in the Last Start of the Base Class NW5000L5 Pace

(1) CAVIART ROCKLAND scored in his first start back after a layoff at Monticello on 7-31. He starts from the pole again tonight, and this barn continues to send out plenty of live horses. (5) AUSSIE HANOVER finds what should be a softer spot here than the $40,000 claimers he's been in and he also gets to move in on the gate a couple of slots. (2) RIFLEMAN got the nod from Bartlett over my top choice and has hit the board in five of his last seven tries at Pocono.
