Race 1 - 12500CLM Pace

(2) BEGINNER'S LUCK continues to work his way down in class tonight and moves back inside. He also gets a new set of hands this time with Scott Zeron taking over. (3) STAR SPEAKER was second in his first start for a high-percentage trainer on 8-17 and will probably be favored. (5) AMRCANBOOTSCOOTA A is just one-for-27 this year but debuts for trainer Izzy Estrada and was favored at the Meadowlands not all that long ago. I'll toss him in.

Race 2 - NW7500L5/Winners in Last Start of the Base Class NW5000L5/15000CLM Trot

(4) BAZILLIONAIRE drew well tonight after having the seven and the eight in his last pair and trainer Tom Corelli has been sending out some live horses in recent weeks. (2) ON HIGHER GROUND worked out a good trip from the eight-hole and crunched a group of NW5000L5's a week ago. He gets significant post relief off that performance. (5) DYNAMIC EDGE invades from Pocono after a victory and a runner-up result in his last couple over there.

Race 3 - F&M NW2/25000LT Pace

(3) FILLY comes down from Canada - Manitoba to be specific - having won all four of her starts. She's now in the red-hot Bongiorno barn to boot, and that's enough for me. (4) LINE EM UP makes her second appearance after a layoff and moves in from the seven-hole to post four. (7) YOUR MOMMA has been third in both of her tries since shipping in from Indiana. I don't think she'll be favored here.

Race 4 - F&M NW2/25000LT Pace

(6) HURRIKANEMYSHANNON missed by just a head at Yonkers back on 7-14 and qualified well at Pocono on August 11. I'll hope she's ready and use. (4) IDEAL CHIP has finished second and third in two local efforts and got the nod from Jordan Stratton over several others in here. (3) BEACHBLANKETLINDY saw her run of on-the-board finishes end in the PA Stallion Series last time out at Pocono as she was fourth. She was very competitive in this class prior to that and should be included.

Race 5 - NW5000L5/12500CLM Trot

(4) SEVEN KNIGHTS hasn't been able to find the winner's circle in 23 tries this year, but he did finish second two back and has an improved post tonight. He also gets a driver switch to Joe Bongiorno. (5) UVA HANOVER got shuffled back a bit behind a fading leader last week and had to settle for third after getting out to follow cover. He was favored in that race, so he merits respect. (8) WHETHER OR NOT FI drops to the bottom level but also is stuck outside. He was able to overcome the eight-hole to get a fourth against NW10000L5's on July 28, so I don't think he's a total write-off.

Race 6 - 25000CLM Pace

(7) MARINER SEELSTER is hot property at the claim box, having changed barns after seven straight races. He finds his way to the Bongiornos this time and is probably worth a chance based on that. (6) ROCK N TONY rallied strongly to finish second at this level on August 9 and gets another shot with Zeron in the bike. (5) OHIO VINTAGE was in against $40,000 claimers when last seen at Yonkers and kept Jim Marohn Jr.'s services.

Race 7 - 30000CLM Pace

(1) PEPPER GUY got the pole position here after a number of outside draws, and Marohn Jr., who has had a lot of success with this horse in the past, takes over the driving. (7) HASH-TAG SWAG was favored for the Bongiorono on August 16 but lost all chance when he suffered broken equipment. He should have every chance for a quick rebound tonight. (3) MASTERSON moves up from the the $20,000 claimers but won very nicely on August 13 and picks up Stratton.

Race 8 - F&M NW4/50000LT Pace

(2) GETTIN GONE owns a two-for-two record with Stratton driving, including in this class on 8-4, and he returns to the bike tonight after she raced in the Excelsior "A" Series at Vernon last time. (4) REACHTHRUTHESKY AS couldn't get involved from post seven a week ago but drew an improved post tonight and did gain spots and ground in the last quarter. (6) PARTY QUEEN gets to exit the New York Sire Stakes for this overnight race. She did try NW4's once on July 7 and could only muster a fifth-place finish, so I'll try and beat her.

Race 9 - F&M NW5000L5/12500CLM Pace

(6) VELOCITY MCSWEETS led but couldn't fend off the well-meant and well-bet Pettycoat Business on 8-12. She's turned in good efforts in both of her tries since coming in from Pocono and gets a chance with Stratton tonight. (1) SCANDALICIOUS is probably the one to beat as she drops to the bottom level, but she is just one-for-22 this year, and I'll hope she's vulnerable. (3) GOTTALOVEMYSHADOW slides down from the NW7500L5 class and gets Tyler Miller to come in for just this one drive.

Race 10 - F&M NW6/75000LT Pace

(6) RCKAROUNDTHECLOCK N returns to Yonkers for the first time in a while tonight. She's having a great campaign, and that second-place finish to Dbldelitebrigade N in the Open at Plainridge on 7-25 really sticks out in this class. (3) ROLL ON MAMA had to wait to get room to angle out of the pocket last week and then gained late. She's usable. (1) LARJON LEAH was well-meant last Wednesday, finishing second from first-over out of the eight-hole. She gets to move all the way in to the pole position here.

Race 11 - NW10000L5/Winner in Last Start of the Base Class NW7500L5/20000CLM Trot

(5) TRUMP THIS picked up positions and gained ground off cover in the last quarter a week ago. He was claimed by trainer Peter Pellegrino but did keep Stratton in the bike. (4) MADHATTER BLUECHIP took advantage of a class drop to win last week. He drew in off the also-eligible list here and probably isn't out of his element given his third-place finish from post seven at this level on 8-11. (2) NO DRAMA PLEASE invades from Harrah's Philadelphia after winning two straight down there and should be full of confidence from this inside draw.

Race 12 - NW5000L5 Pace

(1) MARCO BEACH might be able to show some more tonight given he finally gets an inside post after having two seven-holes and the eight in his last three. (4) MOHAWK WARRIOR drops out of the NW7500L5's and has a driver change to Marohn Jr. He seems way overdue for a strong performance. (3) BELTANE A was favored against NW7500L5's on 8-17 but had to settle for fourth. He hasn't won this year, but Lance Hudson's barn has been firing pretty well lately.
