Race 1 - F&M NW2/25000LT / 3YO Fillies NW1/12500LT Drawn Inside Pace

(1) ROLL WITH SHORTY is 0-for-17 lifetime, but she was second twice against NW2's back in June and exits three straight tries against New York Excelsior "A" Series foes. (7) PRINCESS ALTA has hit the board in six of her last seven and closed well to finish third a week ago. (2) YOUR MOMMA got hammered down to the odds-on favorite last Wednesday but faded from the pocket. Maybe trainer Scott Di Domenico has learned more about her now that she's made one start out of his barn.

Race 2 - F&M NW6/79700LT Pace

(4) WAKEMESHAKEME was no match for Natasha last week but meets up with a beatable group tonight. (6) THUNDRA steps up off a victory against NW4's but doesn't face the deepest crew of NW6's here and is in sharp form. (1) LARJON LEAH raced well at Yonkers back in May and June, including a win over NW15000L5's on 5-27. She is now being trained by Ricky Bucci and qualified well for him at Yonkers on July 30.

Race 3 - 12500CLM Pace

(8) FOX VALLEY NEMITZ makes his third start back after a layoff and was favored against $20,000 claimers at Yonkers earlier this year. I'll give him a shot. (3) ENERGYZONE HANOVER was third two back in this class and overcame post eight to get a fourth a week ago. He slides inside to the three-hole tonight. (6) FAST ON THE DRAW has been on the ticket in three of his last five, appearances, including a win on 6-30. He's another one getting out of post eight in this race.

Race 4 - F&M NW2/25000LT Pace

(5) EYES DON'T LIE gets a third crack at this class despite two straight victories because of her lifetime earnings, and she's also the only 4-year-old in here. (6) FRENCH SHAKER made an uncharacteristic break before the start a week ago. She had been racing quite capably prior to that, and I'll look for her to rebound. (4) IDEAL CHIP wasn't in great form down at Harrah's Philadelphia, but she stepped it up when she came to Yonkers, finishing second to my top pick last Wednesday.

Race 5 - NW5000L5 Pace

(4) TELLITSABB drops to the bottom level in his second local start for trainer Izzy Estrada. He was second as the favorite versus NW7500L5's on 7-30 and should be tough to beat. (5) KILLER MARTINI makes his second appearance out of the Jenn Bongiorno barn tonight and should be a contender. (2) HEAVENLY SOUND also retreats out of the NW7500L5's and moves in from post eight to the two-hole.

Race 6 - NW5000L5/12500CLM Trot

(4) MAKING SPARKS comes over from Monticello for a trainer who has done well with other trotters invading from that track, and she gets to partner with Jordan Stratton. (3) SEVEN KNIGHTS hasn't won in 21 tries in 2021, but he drops to the bottom level tonight and has post relief, which might be enough to get him to the winner's circle. (5) SKYWAY TINACIOUS posted a win and a third in the corresponding class to this one at Tioga in the last month and looks usable.

Race 7 - F&M NW5000L5/12500CLM Pace

(5) MILADY DENVER A closed well to finish third against NW7500L5's when last seen locally, and I think this is a much softer group that the last one she met up with at the Meadowlands. (3) FREE EXCHANGE races for a driver/trainer combo that had two longshot winners on Thursday's (August 5) card, and she was able to hit the board at 15-1 a week ago. (6) FOLLOWTHEWIND N put in a good first-over try to finish second to a heavy favorite last Wednesday.

Race 8 - NW7700L5/Winners in Last Start of the Base Class NW5000L5/15000CLM Trot

I don't think (4) BROWNIE is a huge fan of the half-mile track, but a fourth against NW10000L5's at Harrah's Philadelphia looks pretty good compared to the rest of these, and I'll hope owner-driver Dan Dube can get him to mind his manners. (3) TOTAL DIVA usually does her best work against NW5000L5's like last Wednesday when she won, but nobody in this race is in outstanding form, so I think she might be able to double up. (7) KING CAST never got involved from an outside post a week ago, and he is stuck in post seven here, but he did blast to the front two back, and maybe they'll do that with him here given the lack of early foot from others.

Race 9 - F&M NW4/50000LT Pace

(3) ROBMOTION BLUECHIP worked out a pocket trip last Wednesday but never had room in the stretch. I'll hope for a similar journey here, and that her pilot can find clearance for her. (2) IDEAL IN MIRACLES has been racing well as of late, including a third-place finish from first-over in this class a week ago. (6) SEA OF LOVE BC went off as the favorite in that event my top two picks come out of, but she faded late after cutting the fractions. I think she might be better with a target to chase, and she should get that scenario here from an outside draw.

Race 10 - NW10300L5/Winners in Last Start of the Base Class NW7500L5/20000CLM Trot

(1) SUMATRA picked up his last win in this class on 6-16 and returns to it for the first time since then tonight. He also gets a lot of post relief after starting from the seven-hole in his last pair. (7) MADHATTER BLUECHIP woes at the draw continue here as he's outside for the fifth straight time, but he did overcome post six to come in third against NW15000L5's on 7-30. (5) GOTWUTEVERITTAKES is much more reliable than he used to be in the "staying on-stride" department and comes out of a good performance in a fast mile at the Meadowlands.

Race 11 - NW5060L5 Pace

(4) ALBERT A' SCOOTIN was second versus NW5000L5's two back at Yonkers and drops out of Harrah's Philadelphia's NW7000L5 class here. (1) SPORTS BETTOR was able to get to the lead from post seven a week ago but gave way in the last quarter. He gets a second chance at the level and slides in to the pole position. (7) ROCK N BLUE prevailed in his second start for the Bongiornos at Harrah's Philadelphia on August 1, and returns to Yonkers at the bottom level.
