MEET STATS: 123 - 448 / $728.70 (-$167.30) BEST BETS: 23 - 44 / $85.40 (-$2.60) SPOT PLAYS: 3 - 44 / $18.20 (-$69.80) BEST BET - TANGO DANCER N (10th) SPOT PLAY - STINGLIKE A B K (5th) Race 1 - 12500CLM Pace (6) ROGER MACH EM was pretty comeptitive against $15,000 claimers in Delaware and now races out of a barn sending out nothing but live horses. (1) FAST ON THE DRAW took advantage of an inside draw last Wednesday to win in game fashion and landed the pole position again here, making him a threat to double up. (4) SLUGGEM N scratched out of the race won by Fast On The Draw but has been in solid form and should have every chance to pick up where he left off. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2 - NW5600L5/12500CLM Trot (2) ZAGSTER raced well to finish second to a dropping Hunting AS a week ago. He makes his second start for trainer Nick Devita tonight from an inside post. (7) LIFETIME ROYALTY rallied to finish second against NW7500L5's last week and squeezed into this class by $10. (1) SHOWMEYOURGUNS is winless in 2021 but gets significant post relief this time, remains at the bottom level, and is usable. [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Yonkers card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 3 - F&M NW5000L5/12500CLM Pace (1) ISLAY N finished a rallying second on 6-24. She gets another chance at the bottom level from the pole position here, and I'll slot on top. (7) E R HILARY took plenty of wagering attention on June 30 but made a break and lost all chance. That appears pretty out of character, so I'll look for her to bounce back as she drops in class. (6) COVEREDNDIAMONDS N has been hot property at the claim box and racing well, too, as she enters this race with three stright runner-up results. Race 4 - F&M NW2/25000LT Pace (1) FRENCH SHAKER advanced from eighth to fourth in the last quarter in her Yonkers debut on 6-23 and now moves from the far outside post to the pole position. (6) DC BATGIRL hasn't raced in anything but stakes events so far in 2021, so her connections might look to take advantage of this appearance in an overnight race. (4) BEACHBLANKETLINDY kept her good run of form from Pocono going at Yonkers on June 23, finishing third, and that's where I'll put her again. Race 5 - NW7500L5/Winners in Last Start of the Base Class NW5000L5/15000CLM Trot (3) STINGLIKE A B K picked up a couple of positions in the final quarter after racing from off-the-pace a week ago. This is the lowest level he's been at for quite some time, so let's see if he can take advantage. (2) MUFASA AS slides down a notch from the NW10000L5's after a good second-place result behind the red-hot Limerence. (1) HAYEK broke before the start on June 26 but recovered to pick up a check. He raced well in the corresponding class to this one at Harrah's Philadelphia on the 3rd of June. Race 6 - F&M NW5000L5/12500CLM Pace (5) ZOE ELLASEN stepped up to the NW7500L5 level on 6-24 and found it too difficult, but I think she's a contender against bottom level foes, especially if she shows early speed in a race that appears to be lacking it. (6) ACEFORTYFOUR DOME has been racing well for trainer Matias Ruiz with on-the-board performances in three of her last four races. (7) PRAY THE ROSARY went off as the favorite last week but wasn't able to get involved. She's been showing no ability to leave the gate lately, so that puts her at a disadvantage unless a total change is coming tonight. Race 7 - F&M NW8/100000LT / F&M NW6/75000LT Draw Inside Pace (4) NATASHA made her first pari-mutuel start since December 1 of 2019 last week and raced well to finish fourth. She certainly knows her way to the winner's circle, and I have to believe she can only take a step forward tonight after having such a lengthy layoff. (7) MAN DONTFORGET ME struggled to get victories at Yonkers for a while, but she's certainly rectified that issue recently. She's gone right down the road in her last pair and should have every chance to do the same here. (3) MY CAM GIRL wound up third after a first-over journey against Man Dontforget Me a week ago. She competes out of a high-percentage barn, and I will include. Race 8 - NW5000L5 Pace (6) ALOTBETTOR N switches barns tonight to Jenn Bongiorno's, and I'll look for a wake-up call, as he catches a group here that's not exactly the deepest. (4) WAVES OF FIRE A has been moving around classes looking for the right spot since being claimed by Gil Garcia-Herrera on May 21, and he may have found it here as he shifts from the $15,000 claiming level. (1) VENIER HANOVER invades from Monticello after a facile victory. I'll admit to never being sure what to do with horses coming from that oval, but that appears to be a fast mile with a good last quarter, so I'll include from the pole. Race 9 - F&M NW4/50000LT Pace (3) SUMMER RAE returns to overnight competition after three straight stakes appearances, and I will give her the nod. (2) BEAUTY BAYAMA rallied to finish second to a stakes-caliber filly in Albergita Hanover last Wednesday and has some post relief tonight. (4) DELIGHTFUL Z TAM broke stride on 6-23, which seemed very out of character. She was in raging form prior to that, so I wouldn't talk you out of backing her. Race 10 - F&M NW7500L5/Winners in Last Start of the Base Class NW5000L5/15000CLM Pace (2) TANGO DANCER N invades from Harrah's Philadelphia in good form and drops in class from her recent starts down south. (5) PAMMY JO starts from a mid-pack post tonight after having the seven-hole and the eight-hole in her last pair. That could make a big difference. (4) BETTERB CHEVRON N got the job done in her second start against NW5000L5 company a week ago, winning from a pocket trip. She moves up a notch here, but was third at this level on 6-10. [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Yonkers card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 11 - NW10000L5/Winners in Last Start of the Base Class NW7500L5/20000CLM Trot (3) FOMOR has been in deep waters in recent starts, but this is a much more reasonable spot for him tonight, especially after trotting home in 28 seconds last time out. (2) TOP FLIGHT ANGEL drops again here and gets some more post relief. (8) WINDSONG PIONEER seems incapable of drawing inside, but he does slide down from the NW10000L5's and showed blast-out speed down at Freehold in May. Race 12 - NW5000L5 Pace (1) SWEET TRUTH posted his most recent victory when he faced NW5000L5 back in May. He gets to return to the class here and got the pole position to boot. (2) TIGERS WAY is just one-for-33 in the win column over the past two years, but he has hit the ticket in his last two, including against NW7500L5 foes on 6-29. (4) CLASSIC PRO had to do the first-over work against a well-meant Weona Sizzler A last Wednesday and faded in the last quarter. Sometimes the second try against bottom level foes is the key.
