SPOT PLAY - SANTAFE'S MJ (6th)
Race 1 - F&M NW4/50000LT Pace
(4) DELITFULCATHERIN N gets a third crack at the NW4 class since she still hasn't gone over the earning cap, and she'll likely cruise again. (5) ROBMOTION BLUECHIP probably has enough early speed to get to the front and then perhaps yield to my top pick like last week. (2) THUNDRA posted her first win of the season last time out at Harrah's Philadelphia and has threatened at this level before at Yonkers.

Race 2 - NW5000L5/12500CLM Trot
(5) ZAGSTER drops back down to the NW5000L5 level in his fourth start for trainer Nick Devita and meets up with a beatable field. (7) KATKIN AND COKE returns to Yonkers tonight after racing out of town for a stretch. He does show winning a couple of times recently, which stands out compared to the others in here. (1) LIONHEAD hit the board against bottom level foes back on 6-9, and I'm hoping he can just follow along and complete the trifecta.

Race 3 - 12500CLM Pace
(3) ARCANE SEELSTER left from post seven last Tuesday but ended up getting parked and tired. He was claimed and moves inside tonight, so I'll bank on a much smoother journey and a better price. (1) ROLL WITH FRED invades from Monticello after racing very well in their optional $12,500 claiming level. He should have the ability to get well-spotted from the pole. (6) MACHING TIME finished second and third in his last pair at a higher claiming level and now drops for Devita.
Race 4 - F&M NW2/25000LT Pace
(1) SOCIETY JILL finished well after taking a terrible shuffle a week ago, and I'll put on top. (4) FRENCH SHAKER rallied off excess cover to finish second last Wednesday and has some post relief tonight. (5) BEACHBLANKETLINDY has hit the board in her last six and should definitely be included in trifecta plays.
Race 5 - NW5150L5/12500CLM Trot
(4) ON HIGHER GROUND shows finishing third in the Open at The Meadows in May and ships in to the Andrew Harris barn here at the NW5000L5 level. (3) FOMOR drops again out of the NW7500L5's and seems pretty overdue for a better performance. (2) TRUMP THIS is another invader from The Meadows and is now with trainer Travis Alexander. He won for the first time in 2021 on 7-15, and we often see when the light bulb goes on that a horse can stay sharp for a while.
Race 6 - F&M NW2/25000LT Pace
(1) SANTAFE'S MJ was following advancing cover last week but got blindswitched on the last turn, and that hurt her chances. I'm not in love with anybody in this pretty wide-open race, so I'll give her a chance. (5) CHANEL BEACH owns two recent wins but both of them have been over at Pocono. She did close from eighth to third at Yonkers on June 30. (2) OCEANVIEW ECHO hasn't done much since that win over NW1's on 5-26, but I think this is an easier spot than the NW3 level at Harrah's Philadelphia.
Race 7 - F&M NW5000L5/12500CLM Pace
(5) ACEFOURTYFOUR ALEX does her best racing at the bottom level and returns to it here after facing better since her last victory on 5-27. (3) SOUND IDEA dropped to this class back on 7-14 but didn't make the lead and then got shuffled. When she was at her best earlier in 2021 she cut the fractions, and maybe she'll be able to tonight from a better post. (6) ZOE ELLASEN is on a good race/bad race pattern lately. She's definitely liked the NW5000L5's more than the NW7500L5's, and she's back at the former tonight.
Race 8 - NW8200L5/Winners in Last Start of the Base Class NW5000L5/15000CLM Trot
(8) KINDA LUCKY LINDY appears to be incapable of drawing a good post, but his race last Wednesday was his best in a bit, and I'll bank on him being able to back that up tonight. (3) GREY gets to partner with a catch driver here after a speed-and-fade effort with owner Joe Pennacchio at the controls a week ago. (2) KING CAST drops and moves inside tonight, which could definitely put him in the hunt.
Race 9 - F&M NW6/75000LT / NW8/100000LT Drawn Outside Pace
(7) NATASHA won handily when raced closer to the front on 7-14. I don't know if the same tactics are coming tonight from the seven-hole, but I think she could rally by them even if she's more off-the-pace. (4) ITZPAPALOTL went right down the highway to win a New York Excelsior A Series race over the track on 7-15. She is just one of two 3-year-olds in this race, so she might be at a disadvantage against older foes. (2) BREAK THE DEAL comes up from Harrah's Philadelphia off a victory and also tallied at the Meadowlands back in May. She might be able to ride the rail and hit the board.

Race 10 - NW10000L5/Winners in Last Start of the Base Class NW7500L5/20000CLM Trot
(5) KENOGAMI COCO looked like maybe he needed a race to reacclimate to the half-mile oval last week, and he did gain late. He gets back on a weekly racing rotation tonight, and I'll give him a try. (3) KASHA V took advantage of a chance to slide down to the NW7500L5 level to win last Wednesday. He does step up here, but I don't think he's out of his element. (1) EURO GAP moves all the way from post eight to the pole position, and while I respect his chances, I have a feeling he's probably going to get overbet.
Race 11 - NW5000L5 Pace
(5) SWEET TRUTH takes a third crack at the NW5000L5 level and meets a field that is definitely struggling to find the winner's circle. He did score in this class back in May, and maybe he's ready for a speed try. (4) BILBO HANOVER was a good second after taking a first-over shot against a well-meant Hitman Hill last Wednesday. Have to think a short price is coming on him tonight. (1) VASARI N came in third in that same contest Bilbo Hanover exits and starts from the pole position again. He has hit the board in half of his 20 efforts in 2021, so I'll include.
