Race 1 - 2-4YO C&G Maiden/NW17550LT Pace

(7) LONE WOLF AMERICAN invades from The Meadows and is now with Scott Di Domenico. He beat NW2's out there on 4-21, and I'll bank on him being ready to fire tonight. (3) HAZEVILLE topped NW1's at Pocono and then just missed by a nose versus NW2's. His trainer, John McDermott, has been winning plenty of races lately at other venues. (5) XMARXTHESPOT downed NW1's two back at Pocono and then was second, beaten just a neck, in a local try on 5-17.

Race 2 - NW5000L5 Pace

(3) MIKEY CAMDEN is a newcomer for Jenn and Joe Bongiorno from the Canadian Maritimes. They've had success with other horses to come to Yonkers from that area, and he shows winning in 1:50 and a piece last year at Woodbine Mohawk Park. (1) SPORTS BETTOR drops to the bottom level here and moves in from post six to the pole position. (5) SAULSBROOK HERO has rallied from well off-the-pace to finish third and second in his last two outings and drew a better post tonight.

Race 3 - NW7500L5/Winners in Last Start of the Base Class NW5000L5 Pace

(1) DESIRE'S CAPTAIN exits the $30,000 claimers tonight and finally has an inside post. That should allow him to be closer to the action, and trainer Nick Devita started to heat up before the week break. (2) MOTIVE HANOVER gives the Bongiornos another threat early on the card as he picked up a confidence-building win down at Freehold most recently and was facing $75,000 claimers when last seen locally. (6) WAR DAN DELIGHT N finished second to the red-hot Keystone Phoenix a couple of times in that Pop-Up Series and gets a driver switch to Jason Bartlett.

Race 4 - NW5000L5 Pace

(2) KIMANI N shifts to an inside post in his third attempt against bottom level rivals and picks up a new pilot in Yannick Gingras. (5) IM A POWERPLAY A was second in the corresponding class to this one down at Freehold on April 23 and his effort here on 4-30 was quite good considering he was two-wide for much of the mile. (1) FLYING FINN N beat IM A POWERPLAY A in their common race at Freehold on the 23rd of April and moves from post eight to the pole position.

Race 5 - NW21951L5/4&5YO NW10 PM Races LT Pace

(6) OAKWOODNITOWNIT IR was a regular at the Open level in Ohio and has now moved east into the high percentage Tahnee Camilleri barn. This horse has a pretty good history on half-mile ovals, including a win here on November 1 of last year. (4) GENIUS MAN scored two wins in this class on 3-29 and 4-12 and squeezed into this race by a dollar since he has $21,950 earned in his last five tries. (5) ST LADS BEAT IT had a run of on-the-board efforts here in late April and early May and returns after one try at the Meadowlands. He also gets reunited with Bartlett.

Race 6 - F&M NW2/25000LT / F&M Maiden or NW12500 LT Pace

(6) THE LETTER made some stakes appearances in Indiana last year, and she rallied from eighth to third in the back-half of her mile at Pocono on 5-23. (1) HESTON HONEY took some wagering attention on 5-17 but lost all chance when she broke past the start. That looks like it was a little out of character for her, and she was a solid second against New York Excelsior "A" Series foes at Yonkers on August 3 of last year. (3) AVONLEA SEELSTER gets some post relief tonight after starting from the eight-hole in her last attempt, and she was Jordan Stratton's choice of a couple.

Race 7 - F&M 50000CLM Pace

(4) ROCKNROLL SHELLI performed well at Yonkers in late April and into May and had no shot from post nine at the Meadowlands. I'll give her a chance in her return to the half-mile oval. (2) VELOCITY MCSWEETS tallied in this class two back, and maybe she can follow a horse this time rather than cut it, as she seems to like a target. (1) MORNING HAS BROKEN is clearly the one to beat as she has two straight victories over $50,000 claimers and gets to start from post one.

Race 8 - NW2/29225LT Pace

(6) HURRIKANE CHUCK finished fourth in the sire stakes final last year and has raced pretty well in his first two outings of his sophomore campaign. I will anticipate aggressive handling since he is going to be driven by Dan Dube. (5) COOL MAN DUDE is another newcomer to the Di Domenico barn on the card. He was facing NW4's out in Ohio to end 2021 and start 2022 and qualified well at Northfield on May 19. (4) THEBIZNES BLUECHIP gets to slide out of the NW4 class to meet up with NW2's tonight and has hit the board in his last four tries.

Race 9 - F&M NW8/100000LT / F&M NW6/75000LT Drawn Inside Pace

(3) PLZDONTLIETOME N prevailed over NW8's on May 10, and I'm just going to overlook that start at the Meadowlands as she was being driven by Cory Stratton and not Jordan and wound up first-over on a sloppy track. (6) BABS JANSEN has been racing very well lately with three victories in her last five starts, and she retained George Brennan. (4) NADINA HANOVER steps up from the NW6's but does so off a victory in a lifetime-best clocking. She takes on older foes tonight as she's the lone 3-year-old in this event.

Race 10 - NW6/75000LT / NW8 or 100000LT Drawn Outside Pace

(7) LINNYCALLEDFRANKIE starts from the outside post, but he's been facing stout competition over at the Meadowlands recently and both of his wins this year were at Yonkers. (3) SPRINGBRIDGE DUEL rallied from fifth to third in the final quarter on May 17 and looks like another one to throw into the mix for the Bongiornos on the program. (5) BONDI SHAKE N has hit the board in five of his last eight starts and appears usable.

Race 11 - F&M NW4/50000LT Pace

(4) MIKI ROSE looks like she should be pretty tough here as she faces only NW4's and came up just a neck short of the earlier-mentioned Nadina Hanover on May 17. (6) BET I'M LUCKY makes her second start out of the Bongiorno barn and doesn't have to deal with post eight like she did on 5-17. (2) ROBMOTION BLUECHIP advanced from eighth to fourth in the last quarter in her first start of 2022 up at Saratoga on May 16 and lands Stratton's services tonight.

Race 12 - NW4/50000LT Pace

(2) NORTHERN NETWORK closed from sixth to third in the last quarter against NW7500L5's on May 13, and I'd expect him to be a little sharper tonight since that was his first pari-mutuel start since 3-18. (6) ROYAL TANG just missed in a fast mile on 5-17 and has Gingras back to drive again tonight. (4) THOR AND DR JONES stopped on the lead in his first try for Cory Stratton on the 17th of May, but he has won at Yonkers before, and perhaps there was an issue that can be easily corrected.
