Race 1 - 3YO Maiden Fillies/NW8500LT Drawn Outside Pace

(3) SOUTHERN WOMAN makes her second start for trainer Nick Devita tonight. Many of his horses show improvement in their second start out of his barn, and I'll bank on that happening here. (1) DEL DIGGITY posted two on-the-board finishes in three tries against NW2's and now faces maidens from the pole position. She also gets another chance with Todd McCarthy. (4) SEA OF LOVE BC grabbed a second, a third, and two fourths against the NW2 class at Yonkers and might have a chance to be the pace-setter in this race.

Race 2 - F&M NW4/50000LT / NW2/25000LT Drawn Inside Pace

(5) MOSSDALE LOTTEE N broke stride after the start over the sloppy going a week ago. I'll overlook that in the hopes of a dry surface tonight and give her another chance. (4) SUMMER RAE looked like she was home-free last Wednesday but got caught by a rallying Pray The Rosary. It was still a good effort, and she has McCarthy back in the bike again. (1) BEACH MOMENT led and was nearly able to hold off a heavy favorite in Delightful Z Tam last week. She does meet up with some non-winners of four tonight, but she has strong early speed and should have good trip from the pole.

Race 3 - F&M NW2/25000LT Pace

(5) SPELLCHECK HANOVER qualified well behind a top mare in JK Alwaysbalady at the Meadowlands and then backed that up with a facile victory over NW1's at Pocono. I'll give her the nod. (2) CITY BY THE BAY showed ability as a 2-year-old, including an Ontario Sires Stakes Gold Series win on the half-mile track at Grand River. She'll probably improve in her second start as a 3-year-old tonight. (4) PARTY QUEEN is another filly who could definitely take a step forward with a race under her belt. She also picks up Brian Sears's services with George Brennan opting to City By The Bay.

Race 4 - NW5000L5/12500CLM Trot

(4) KEYSTONE ORION recently joined the Edwin Quevedo barn. He absolutely romped in an amateur race down at Freehold but had to be disqualified after being off-stride and then inside the pylons for the first quarter of the mile. It was still eye-catching the way he drew off on the rest of those after collecting his gait, though, and he gets a catch driver in McCarthy this time. (3) SUMATRA definitely merits consideration as he drops down to the bottom level off a fourth-place finish against NW7500L5's a week ago. (2) HAMMER CREEK faded on 4-28 while Fomor won in a fast mile for this class. I think he could rebound tonight, especially if he's able to get on the engine.

Race 5 - F&M NW5000L5/12500CLM Pace

(7) FRANSCHOEK has a barn change that everybody will probably see as she makes her first start for Jenn Bongiorno. This mare also drops out of the NW7500L5's, so the new stable and the class relief will lead me in her direction. Sears takes the lines with Joe Bongiorno not driving on the program tonight. (1) THREEDEE DELIGHT A makes her third appearance for Devita here and was a gaining second to a classy foe in Angel's Pride on 4-29. (2) MORE THAN MANY also exits the NW7500L5's like my top selection does and showed the ability to hit the board against NW10000L5's in early April.

Race 6 - NW7500L5/Winners in Last Start of the Base Class NW5000L5/15000CLM Trot

(3) P L KETCHUP posted two of his three wins in 2020 at Yonkers and gained in the final quarter to finish second in the corresponding class to this one at Harrah's Philadelphia in his last effort. He also makes his third start off the bench. (4) KANDY SWEET put in her best effort in a bit for Devita a week ago and gets reunited with Jordan Stratton tonight. (7) VINNY DE VIE picked up a confidence-building win over NW5000L5's last Wednesday and has plenty of experience racing from this draw. He gets McCarthy to drive another time, too.

Race 7 - F&M NW6/75000LT Pace

(2) MOANING LISA switches to an inside draw tonight after having the seven-hole in her last pair, and that might change her fortunes. I liked her gaining third-place finish to the razor-sharp Dragon Roll back on 4-21 when she had a good post and maybe she can show something like that here. (5) SOUND IDEA held sway on the front-end to score over NW6's on 4-28 and gets another crack at the level. Brennan did hop off, but Brent Holland likes to be aggressive and could definitely have her on the engine again. (4) PRAY THE ROSARY hikes up after beating NW4's in her second effort out of the Devita barn a week ago. She showed a good closing kick to get the job done, giving Austin Siegelman some options on how to handle her.

Race 8 - NW10000L5/Winners in Last Start of the Base Class NW7500L5/20000CLM Trot

(8) MUFASA AS moves up in class and starts from the outside, but he catches a bunch of horses here who are in search of wake-up calls while he's coming off an impressive win. I'll trust Stratton to work some of his post eight magic and give this horse a chance. (2) HOMER HALL drops and moves inside, but he hasn't won in 2021, and I think you have to try and beat him. (6) EYE OFA TIGER AS also exits the NW15000L5 level. He did score at Yonkers back on April 12 and was Holland's choice in this event.

Race 9 - NW5000L5 Pace

(4) SWEET TRUTH picked up a fourth-place result against NW6 foes on 5-4. I think he should appreciate the switch to the NW5000L5 class tonight, and I will use. (5) MR BIG WIG had some good fortune to draw in off the also-eligible list. He has finished third in his last two efforts at this level, including as the favorite on May 4. (2) REAGAN'S AVENGER had no chance from the outside draw on the 27th of April, but he remains at the bottom tonight, and I'll throw him on in the hopes he can add some value underneath.
