MEET STATS: 73 - 308 / $523.50 (-$92.50) BEST BETS: 20 - 29 / $82.30 (+$24.30) SPOT PLAYS: 3 - 29 / $32.10 (-$25.90) BEST BET - PROMISING MOMENT (3rd) SPOT PLAY - HE HUNTS (5th) Race 1 - 15000CLM Pace (4) ONE OF THE GUYS came up empty last week but I liked his effort prior to that and he drops to the $15,000 claiming level tonight. He also gets a driver switch to Scott Zeron. (1) VELOCITY KOMODO moves inside to the pole position and has a win and a second from three efforts in this class since he came in over from Pocono. (6) MAXIMUS RED A makes his second start back after a sick scratch on April 12 and went a long way on the front-end before he wound up third in a NW5000L5 event most recently. [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Yonkers card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 2 - 20000CLM Pace (7) RECORD YEAR continues to have little luck at the post position draw but has had success in this class before and comes in off a second a couple weeks ago. I'm going to hope new driver Mark MacDonald gives him an aggressive try and use. (3) PRINCE OF TIDES has romped in two straight outings at this level since he returned from Pocono and a good draw only helps his chances tonight. (6) PRETTY HANDSOME tallied in a $20,000 claimer back on April 2 and has been sharp for a while overall outside of a post eight start two back. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 3 - F&M NW2/31810LT Pace (3) PROMISING MOMENT got her first start of 2025 under her belt last week and I'll look for her to be sharper tonight. She had a pretty good 2-year-old campaign with three wins and trainer Tom Fanning has been sending out some live horses at tracks across the East Coast lately. (4) MISS PERIGNON N has hit the board in two of her three outings in the U.S. thus far and likely doesn't have any stakes engagements she's looking at unlike the 3-year-olds in here. (7) HUNTINGFORTREASURE posted a pair of victories as a freshman and has two qualifiers under her belt for her sophomore debut. She does have the outside, but I wouldn't be surprised to see aggressive handling from this driver/trainer tandem. Race 4 - F&M 25000CLM Pace (2) STORMY SERENA is just one-for-44 in the win column over the last two years but gained ground in a fourth-place effort in her first outing for this high-percentage stable last Tuesday. She moves inside on the gate tonight and switches drivers to Zeron. (5) ONEDERFUL BEACH steps up in class but has hit the board in six of her last seven appearances and won over $20,000 claimers on April 22. She is a first-timer for leading trainer Per Engblom off a claim here, too. (4) MORNING HAS BROKEN has been outside the trifecta just once in her last six trips behind the gate and won at this level on 4-15. Race 5 - NW of 2 but not more than 4 PM Races or 60000LT Trot I'm not in love with anybody here, so I'm going to take a shot with (8) HE HUNTS, despite the poor draw. He defeated NW1 company at Harrah's Philadelphia in his first outing with Lasix added on 4-17, and the connections thought enough of him a year ago to put him in stakes races. (5) STAR HAIRDRESSER has hit the board in three of his four tries since he came down from Saratoga and joined his current trainer. I think he's likely facing a softer group than he has been in this class as well. (3) MEETATTHEBAR posted a third-place finish to eventual John Brennan Trotting Series champion Antognoni S on April 16 and was also third at this level back on the 26th of March. Race 6 - Winners of 5 but not more than 7 PM Races or 90000LT Trot (5) NOTTINGHAM rallied and came up just a nose short of victory in this class last Wednesday. He makes his third start on Lasix tonight, moves in a couple of notches on the gate and gets another try with Matt Kakaley in the bike. (3) BRONZER has hit the board in all of his starts at Yonkers since he came south from Woodbine Mohawk Park and added trotting hobbles. He also gets a bit of post relief here. (2) CHIPPER DALE returns from the Meadowlands off back-to-back tallies and was second at this level at Yonkers back on the 19th of March. Race 7 - F&M Winners of 2 but not more than 5 PM Races or 60000LT Pace (5) KISS MY CHEEK romped in a similar class to this one on 4-9 and backed that up with a closing third against NW10000L5 rivals in a subsequent effort. I'll back her for the top spot tonight. (2) DONEGAL SPIRIT was third in her first outing at Pocono on April 21. She gets post relief off that effort here and also gets a driver switch to Jason Bartlett. (3) PARKAVENUELISA also has a start under her belt now, and she was a solid second to a well-meant rival. :: DRF Kentucky Derby Package: Save on PPs, Clocker Reports, Betting Strategies, and more. Race 8 - Winners of 2 but not more than 4 PM Races or 60000LT Trot (6) SOAR HIGHER ships in from out of town where it looks like he's been facing tougher company. Jeff Cullipher is having a strong meet at Yonkers and Jordan Stratton takes over the driving. (5) GILLYS DE VIE was a winner in this class a week ago and looks usable in this race also. (1) YOUMEANDWHISKEY has a second and a third in her last two starts at this level at Yonkers and gets to partner with Bartlett from the pole position. Race 9 - F&M 20000CLM Pace (8) RACIN FOR ROYALTY will have to overcome post eight but finished with pace in a fourth-place effort most recently and debuts for new connections off a claim here. She also gets a new driver with Bartlett taking over. (5) RAISE THE ANTE is on a nice run of on-the-board finishes. She gets reunited with Jim Marohn Jr. tonight as Yannick Gingras isn't here. (3) REAL LADY SADIE took one unsuccessful chance against $25,000 claimers and now drops. She was on a streak of top-three results in this class prior to that.
