Race 1 - 3-5YO 50000CLM Pace

(4) JK STANDINGOVATION has a good post for the first time at this level at Yonkers and did win three of four starts at the Meadowlands back in February and March. I'll give him top call in the opener. (1) COPPER TEEN made just the one start back on 3-27 and then headed to the sidelines again. He comes off a good enough qualifier down at Harrah's Philadelphia and shows a victory over NW20000L5's at Yonkers last November. (2) COALITION HANOVER returned to his winning ways in this class a week ago and when he got sharp back in early March, he stayed that way for several weeks.

Race 2 - F&M NW6/80541LT / F&M NW8/100000LT Drawn Outside Pace

(1) HUNTRESS and (2) KELE KELE were second and first, respectively, in a common NW6 tilt last Wednesday. I prefer HUNTRESS to win as I think her price might be further inflated after being defeated a week ago, and she has inside control should driver Joe Bongiorno want it. (5) SOMESWEETSOMEWHERE was a well-beaten third to my top two choices in that NW6 race a week ago, and I'll slot her underneath again here as she has hit the board in five straight outings.

Race 3 - NW7500L5/Winners in Last Start of the Base Class NW5000L5 Trot

(2) LOS BALLYKEELAMIGO exits the John Brennan Trotting Series off a fourth-place effort. The last time he was in overnight company he was way up at the NW15000L5 level and trainer Ricky Bucci has been doing well with class droppers all year. (4) IM THE MUSCLE came up just a nose shy of winning in a NW10000L5 tilt a week ago and picked up his most recent victory in a NW7500L5 race back in mid-February. (5) OH BOY also departs the Brennan Series and was a gaining third in a NW7500 base class test on 3-8.

Race 4 - NW5251L5/12500CLM Trot

(8) MYCROWNMYKINGDOM drew post eight but takes a second chance at bottom level rivals after finishing third a week ago and driver Dan Dube has plenty of ability to hustle one out of there. (1) BIZET has dropped all the way down to the NW5000L5 class now after being in against NW30000L5 company as recently as 2-16. He'll get it going the right way one of these times, perhaps tonight from post one. (3) DOWN THE PIKE MIKE has hit the board in two straight outings against NW5000L5's and gets another chance with Yannick Gingras driving.

Race 5 - NW10000L5/Winners in Last Start of the Base Class NW7500L5 Trot

(3) WILLY WALTON went off-form at Yonkers earlier this year but was in the Open back in January and seems to have turned it around in his qualifier and amateur race at Freehold. (2) THE LAST CHAPTER slides down from the NW15000L5 class and finished third the last time he was in against NW10000L5's back in mid-March. (7) GAELIHILL had a best finish of second in the John Brennan Trotting Series and exits that event tonight. He does shows a third against NW20000L5's at Yonkers on 3-23.

Race 6 - F&M NW2/25000LT / F&M Maidens or NW12500LT Drawn Inside Pace

(1) HALLELUJAH HANOVER merits another chance here as she moves inside on the gate in her second start of 2023. She also faces NW2's and maidens instead of mixed NW2's and NW4's like she did a week ago. (6) CHEESEY LADY has finished second to a couple of well-meant winners since coming down from Canada. She faces a more wide-open group here that she might be able to beat. (5) DINNER AND DANCING has posted back-to-back third-place results, and like my top pick, she gets to face softer company this time.

Race 7 - John Brennan Series Consolation Trot

(3) TACHYON minded his manners last week with the addition of trotting hobbles, though he had a difficult trip and ended up fourth-placed-third. Hopefully he'll have a smoother journey tonight and can deliver. (5) WHAT SHOULD I GOO had the misfortune of running into the razor-sharp Armstead Cole the last two weeks of this series. She gets away from that rival here and should appreciate that. (2) TORRONE posted two seconds and a third in his preliminary round efforts and has missed the board just once in nine appearances overall in 2023.

Race 8 - John Brennan Series Final Trot

(2) HOOLIE N HECTOR posted back-to-back wins in this series and then last week he stayed on the rail and never had room in the lane. That should have him primed for a top effort from an inside post here, and maybe with some value to go with it. (3) PAPPARDELLE and (6) ARMSTEAD COLE both come in with impressive back-to-back victories. I'll put PAPPARDELLE second given his better draw.

Race 9 - 50000CLM Trot

(3) VALI HANOVER found the waters in the Brennan Series a bit deep but did win the last time he was in against $50,000 claimers back on 3-29. (5) ALL CHAMPY closed well to finish second when he returned to the $50,000 claiming level a week ago. He was claimed by Cory Stratton out of that race and has performed well for several trainers thus far in 2023. (1) LINDSEY'S PRIDE has four straight top-three results and has an inside post for the first time since back in early March.
