Race 1 - NW5025L5/12500CLM Trot
(5) DA BOOGIE MAN loomed boldly from second-over last Wednesday but was out-kicked. He makes his second start for trainer Candace Brandstatter tonight, and I will give him a second shot. (1) PRESCOTT recovered pretty well after miscuing behind the gate a week ago. I'll bank on him minding his P's and Q's this time and include. (4) SERRANO VOLO drops back to the bottom level here after giving NW6's a try on 1-27. She was a closing second in this class on January 12.

Race 2 - F&M NW2/29550LT Pace
(5) MAGICAL LILY BEAR hasn't been able to duplicate that impressive win on December 21 at Saratoga since coming to Yonkers, but she gets away from some of the standout NW2's she's been facing lately and may offer some value. (1) IDEAL CHIP also faces a softer field in this class, but there's no way I can take a short price on a horse with just a one-for-32 win record. (4) BUMP IN THE ROAD is another one in here that struggles to find the winner's circle but does hail from the powerful Tony Alagna barn.

Race 3 - NW7500L5/Winners in Last Start of the Base Class NW5000L5/15000CLM Trot
(2) PAPPY GO GO grabbed a confidence-building win over bottom level foes last week and is definitely capable of handling the hike. (6) KANDY SWIFT won in this class on 12-8 and has been facing better foes since then. (7) IM THE MUSCLE slides down a notch after getting a check against NW10000L5's a week ago and gets a driver switch to Dan Dube, who is definitely capable of hustling one out of there.
Race 4 - F&M NW4/50000LT Pace
(5) BEST KEEPSAKE showed some ability up in Canada and then left from post ten over at the Meadowlands on January 21 before taking a shuffle. She gets a driver swap to Scott Zeron here, and I believe is worth a chance. (1) ALTA MADEIRA N dominated NW2's in her Yonkers debut a week ago, and although she steps up a notch, she drew the pole to offset it. (3) GABBY'S GIRL had to settle for third after leading through a pretty quick tempo last Wednesday. She has the powerful duo of Matt Kakaley and Travis Alexander working in her favor.
Race 5 - NW5375L5/12500CLM Trot
(8) THE IRISHMAN had a pretty tough trip a week ago but stuck around to finish fourth. He was 1-5 in that race, so I can't believe they're taking back to last here, and he might be a better price. (2) SWEET SOUL DAVID was second against NW7850L5's last Wednesday and slides down to the bottom level tonight. (5) BAZILLIONAIRE is just one-for-37 in the win column over the last two years, but this is the softest spot he's been in on his page, and he gets a shot with Jason Bartlett.
Race 6 - 25000CLM Pace
(1) BRANDON HANOVER makes his first start off the claim for Jeff Gillis tonight, and that gets him Jordan Stratton in the bike. I think both of those are positives in his column, and I'll put on top. (7) OZONE BLUE CHIP had a rough go against $40,000 claimers on January 24, but I think he can quickly rebound as he drops and comes out of the high-percentage Gareth Dowse barn. (3) CINNABAR DRAGON has a driver/trainer combo in Joe Bongiorno and Ken Koch that are often dangerous when they pair up, and he was third at this level on January 19.
Race 7 - 50000CLM Trot
(3) PLUMB went right to the lead in her first start for Joe and Jenn Bongiorno last Wednesday but miscued on the first turn. I'll trust they have that iron out this week and use her for a second time. (2) JACK VERNON has always had some class to him and comes out of a high-level race at Dover. He should be a good fit. (8) MAJESTIC MARVEL is three-for-four when Bartlett has driven him, and he stayed aboard tonight over a couple of others. Trainer Sheena Cohen is also having a strong start to 2022.

Race 8 - F&M NW8/100000LT / F&M NW6/75000LT Drawn Inside Pace
(7) ANDRA DAY enters this race off back-to-back runner-up finishes to Bitty Bitty. That mare is probably as sharp as any horse racing at Yonkers and is in the F&M Open on Thursday night, so I think that's a good gauge of class. Let's see if this lass can take advantage of getting away from that foe tonight. (2) COMMANDER CATHY N has hit the board in six straight races and was George Brennan's choice in this event. (3) MOSSDALE LOTTEE N broke on January 19 but has been pretty sharp other than that, and she might add a good price underneath.
Race 9 - NW10000L5/Winners in Last Start of the Base Class NW7500L5/20000CLM Trot
(2) BRIDGE WORKS was competitive in this class in November and December. Luke Hanners went all way to Saratoga on 2-1 to qualify him and this is his lone drive on the card tonight, maybe signifying the horse is live. (3) IN MY DREAMS has gotten sharp again with two straight second-place efforts, including in this class on 1-19. (1) CON AIR HALL gets reunited with Brennan this week and moves in from post seven to the pole position.
