(5) IM THE MUSCLE couldn't get involved from post eight a week ago, but he gets out of that predicament here, and I'll include. (6) J A T O returned to racing action last Wednesday with a victory over NW5000L5's. Since that was his first pari-mutuel start since back in November of 2020, I have to think he'll be sharper in this race, and he kept Jason Bartlett's services. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2 - 50000CLM Trot (6) IN MY DREAMS raced a little bit more off-the-pace in that NW10000L5 race last week and couldn't rally. I'm going to hope Jim Marohn Jr. fires him out of there tonight and can maybe be on the lead or in the pocket where this horse seems to do his best work. (1) DC ANNA finished second to the well-meant Plumb last Wednesday, and she has the pole position again to help her work out a similar trip. (2) MAJESTIC MARVEL broke stride while on the lead a week ago, taking him out of contention. He had just won in this class prior to that, though, so a quick rebound wouldn't surprise me. [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Yonkers card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 3 - F&M NW2/25250LT Pace (7) OAKWOOD CORAL IR cruised to a facile win in her Yonkers debut last Wednesday and gets to stick in the same class tonight due to her low lifetime earnings. (5) IDEAL CHIP has now finished second seven straight times, so that's where I will slot her again. (3) BEAUTIFUL CANDY ships up from Dover with a win and a second in her last two appearances for Hall of Fame trainer Joe Holloway. Race 4 - NW7500L5/Winners in Last Start of the Base Class NW5000L5/15000CLM Trot (3) INNISFALLEN finds a really soft group here compared to what he's been facing as of late, and that might allow for a change in tactics to keep him closer to the pace. (2) SERRANO VOLO turned in a solid effort to finish second to the well-meant J A T O last Wednesday, but she was unable to win in three attempts at the NW5000L5 level, so I'm unwilling to take a short price in this class. (1) MY BOY CHRISTIAN broke stride before the start a week ago but was racing pretty well prior to that and is usable. Race 5 - 75000CLM Trot (6) WILD AND CRAZY GUY finished second to the sharp and front-stepping Hat Trick Marleau last week. Sometimes horses who come up from Florida this time of year need a bit of time to acclimate to the different weather, and that could apply to this guy. I'll give him another chance. (3) LUCKY MATTER hasn't missed the board, including scoring two wins, since returning to Yonkers. That was an impressive win on 2-11 at a class just below the Open. (4) JACK VERNON was fourth last time out in the Open at Dover and has always shown some talent. He was Stratton's choice of a pair. Race 6 - F&M NW4/50000LT Pace (5) ALTA MADEIRA N enters this race with two straight wins, and she had no problem with post eight or the hike up to this class last Wednesday. She looks like she might have a bright future. (6) WHOS SMOKIN N was mired behind struggling horses a week ago but did gain spots in the last quarter. She was razor-sharp prior to that traffic-troubled outing, and I could see her bouncing back quickly. (2) GABBY'S GIRL set the pace and was second to Alta Madeira N last week, giving her two straight on-the-board results since returning from the Meadowlands. Race 7 - NW10075L5/Winners in Last Start of the Base Class NW7500L5/20000CLM Trot (4) HUNTING AS toured the track over at the Meadowlands from an outside post on 2-4. I think he will be sharper tonight off that race, and he had an excellent season at Yonkers in 2021. Note his last win came in this class on 11-10, as well. (1) ALL CHAMPY gets additional class relief tonight his second try of 2022 for a high-percentage barn. He also has a driver switch to Bartlett. (3) CHIEF JUSTICE has found the $50,000 claimers a bit too tough, but he was able to snag a rallying third at this level on February 2. Race 8 - 50000CLM Trot (5) SMALLTOWNTHROWDOWN starts for Gareth Dowse for the first time tonight after being claimed a week ago. He had been off since January 19 coming into that race, so I'll hope the new barn and the return to a regular racing rotation can aid the millionaire. This horse has always shown an affinity for Yonkers, too. (4) PLUMB delivered in her second try for Joe and Jenn Bongiorno last Wednesday after adding trotting hobbles. She remains at the same level and is probably a threat again. (7) STICK WITH ME KID looks a lot like stablemate Lucky Matter back in the fifth, as he has hit the board in all of his tries since coming back east from The Meadows.   Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter Race 9 - F&M NW7/75000LT Pace (3) LINE EM UP appeared like she might have pace in the stretch last week but had zero racing room to go with it. Trainer Andrew Harris is having a strong 2022 thus far, and I will take a poke with her. (2) TENTHOUSAND ANGELS was victorious in a qualifier down at Freehold on 2-11, and so far many of the Bongiorno returnees have been ready to rock at first asking. (1) VIOLETS RAINBOW rallied late after angling out in the lane last Wednesday. She's going to get a shot with Bartlett here after Matt Kakaley opted elsewhere. Race 10 - NW5000L5/12500CLM Trot (1) FASHION FOREVER drew the pole tonight after having posts eight and seven in his last pair against better. Any repeat of that performance he had when he was third against NW10000L5's on January 19 probably gets the job done against bottom level foes here. (4) BAZILLIONAIRE didn't take advantage of the drop down to the NW5000L5 class a week ago, but he gets a second crack at it here and could improve. (7) PRESCOTT gets reunited with Jordan Stratton after trainer Cory Stratton guided him last Wednesday. I'll include.
