Race 1 - NW5000L5 Trot

(7) ARABELLA'S CADET takes a second crack at bottom-level foes here after closing well to finish third last Wednesday, and I'll put her on top. (4) LOS BALLYKEELAMIGO put in a game effort from first-over to grab a runner-up result a week and could improve here as he makes his second start of 2023. (5) CAVALIER GEORGE hasn't been able to hit the board lately but faces a pretty soft crew here and trainer Paul Stafford sent out some live horses last week.

Race 2 - NW5536L5 Trot

(4) PRIMO PADRE minded his p's and q's a week ago and finished with late interest. Based on that, I will give him another chance. (6) HAT TRICK MARLEAU drops to the bottom level tonight and also picks up Tyler Buter in the bike. Buter was behind him when he hit the board against NW20000L5's and NW15000L5's last November. (2) BEERTHIRTY K was no match for the well-meant Im The Muscle last Friday but squeezed into this race by a dollar (he has $5,535 earned in his last five starts) and remains usable.

Race 3 - NW5026L5 Pace

(4) MIKEY CAMDEN gets significant post relief here in his second attempt against bottom level horses, and trainer Nick Devita has been putting live horses on the track lately. (7) HE'S ELECTRIC gained spots and ground in the final quarter of his race on February 6 and slides down to the NW5000L5 base class here. He also gets a driver switch to Jason Bartlett. (2) AMERICAN BOY N was third in a NW5000L5 tilt on 2-7 and trainer Cory Stratton has been doing well thus far in 2023.

Race 4 - F&M NW5/59114LT Pace

(3) THINKING OF A CARD made amends for her disqualification on 1-25 by winning over NW4's a week ago and defeating a 1-5 favorite in the process. She faces some tougher company here, but merits my top choice again. (4) CAPTAIN'S STAR gets to drop out of the NW6's to this seldom-seen NW5 class and is in sharp form. (1) CLEAR THE WAY also exits NW6 company after finishing fourth last Wednesday and drew inside again.

Race 5 - NW7500L5/Winners in Last Start of the Base Class NW5000L5 Trot

(3) AFTER ALL PAUL slides over to this NW7500L5 race from the $50,000 claimers. That should be some class relief, and he also slides inside on the gate. (5) IM THE MUSCLE clobbered NW5000L5 foes with ease a week ago. He does step up here, but should be capable of handling it, and also gets a shot with Bartlett in the bike. (2) DOWN THE PIKE MIKE just missed both times he faced bottom level rivals the last couple of weeks and drew inside again.

Race 6 - NW10000L5/Winners in Last Start of the Base Class NW7500L5 Trot

(1) ON HIGHER GROUND defeated a pretty good older pacer in Lyons Steel in that qualifier down at Freehold, so I have to think he's ready to roll here in his first attempt of the season, and he was facing NW30000L5's when last seen at Yonkers in early November. (2) PALERMO HANOVER drops after finishing third against NW15000L5's on February 2 and was Jordan Stratton's choice. (4) LOOK IN MY EYES comes into this contest with two straight top-threes, including a solid second-place result a couple weeks ago.

Race 7 - 3-5YO 50000CLM Pace

(2) COLD CREEK FELIPE landed an inside post here for the first time since back in late November, and I believe this is a softer crew than the one he faced a couple of weeks ago. I also don't mind the driver switch to Stratton. (3) JIM BLUE just missed a rallying victory last Wednesday as he came up a nose short. He's another one with post relief in this contest. (7) MOMENTSTHATMATTER hasn't been able to deliver as the favorite in three of his last four attempts, but he has hit the board each time, and I don't think he'll be the chalk tonight.

Race 8 - 50000CLM Trot

(3) IN MY DREAMS hinted that he could be rounding back into form on 2-1 as he clocked his best last quarter in a while. I'll use. (2) GEMOLOGIST tallied on February 1 after being re-claimed by Devita. He remains in that barn for this event and has post relief. (6) PC FREE WHEELING picked her first victory in a bit two weeks ago and has the powerful tandem of Bartlett and trainer Per Engblom behind her.

Race 9 - 3-5YO 50000CLM Pace

(2) GREAT SOMEWHERE is three-for-three thus far in 2023 and debuts for new connections after being claimed by trainer Paul Stafford out of his last race. (3) ROSE RUN X-CON won at a gaudy 18-1 a week ago. He won't offer that same value here, but he's been sharp for a long time and should definitely be included. (5) ROCKYTOP OH OH races for a high-percentage barn and shifts to a mid-pack post after having the eight-hole most recently. Maybe he can provide some value underneath.
