I'll stay on him and hope for a good result. (6) BIG CHARLIE MORAN hasn't been since yet this year but did finish second in a NW10000L5 event to finish out his 4-year-old season. (3) IM THE MUSCLE is also making his 2023 debut tonight and drops out of the NW10000L5's. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2 - 3-5YO 50000CLM Pace (3) STATE SENATOR shifts back to an inside post tonight, and although he saw his win streak end last Wednesday, I thought it was a fine effort over the off-going. (2) GREAT SOMEWHERE stomped NW15000L5 foes in both of his tries thus far in 2023 and landed another good draw. I'd expect him to be the one they'll have to beat. (7) COALITION HANOVER won handily in his first attempt at this level a week ago and could offer a bit of value given the presence of GREAT SOMEWHERE and the shift to the outside post. [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Yonkers card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 3 - 50000CLM Trot (6) INQUIRING MIND invades from Batavia off a victory in their Open II Trot and trainer-driver Larry Stalbaum has been pretty aggressive with the horses he's brought to Yonkers thus far. (5) PC FREE WHEELING keeps hitting the board but hasn't won in a while, and I'll slot underneath again. (2) AFTER ALL PAUL closed well to finish third in this class last Wednesday and has another inside post to aid his chances tonight. Race 4 - 3-5YO 50000CLM Pace (4) GREG THE LEG dominated at the Meadowlands on 1-22 in his debut for trainer Per Engblom, and I'll look for the double-up tonight. (2) ROSE RUN X-CON is about as consistent as a horse can be right now and should definitely be included. (7) MOMENTSTHATMATTER hasn't delivered as the favorite in his last two outings, but he has hit the board both times. He did overcome post seven to win back on December 7. Race 5 - NW10000L5/Winners in Last Start of the Base Class NW7500L5 Trot (2) HAT TRICK MARLEAU had to do the first-over work over the sloppy going last week and tired, but he drops and moves inside on the gate here. I'll swing. (6) SWANSEA gives this class a second try after finishing third-placed-second last Wednesday and trainer Scott Di Domenico's charges have been sharp to start 2023. (5) JULA MUSCLE PACK has the post/class relief combo going for him and is another Engblom starter with a chance on the card, but I fear will be overbet given he's just one-for-22 over the last two seasons. Race 6 - 3-5YO 50000CLM Pace (6) CERTIFIABLE returns to Yonkers tonight after racing against open company in his last few outings. He got the nod from Brent Holland over another one in here, and I'll hope that 27 1/5 final quarter at the Meadowlands last time out shows he's gotten sharp again. (1) STRIKING IMPACT got up to finish third in this class a week ago. He starts from the pole tonight and has Matt Kakaley to drive again. (3) SHIP WRECK BEACH K was fourth last Wednesday after coming first-over and has a new driver here with Jordan Stratton taking over. Race 7 - 50000CLM Trot (6) GEMOLOGIST went a long way on the lead before getting collared last Wednesday and was quickly re-claimed by trainer Nick Devita. (2) ALL CHAMPY has hit the board in five straight outings at this level, including a pair of wins over 12-21 and January 18. (5) SWAN FINE LADY moves over to this class after she scored a post eight upset over NW7500L5's a week ago. Driver Ron Cushing has been aggressive with her in both of her local tries, and I wouldn't expect anything different tonight. She moves in a couple notches on the starting gate here, and I'll put her on top. (4) FLIP THE SCRIPT finished her mile last Thursday with plenty of pace, and she hails from a barn that sent out two impressive winners on that program. (1) PURE SILKY was way overbet a week ago (2-5) and had to settle for a gaining third-place result. She drew inside again here. Race 9 - NW5000L5 Trot (7) THE LAST CHAPTER slides down to the bottom level here. He had a solid second-place finish against NW7500L5's two back at the Meadowlands, and hopefully driver Scott Zeron can get him on the lead tonight like he did in that contest. (2) DOWN THE PIKE MIKE raced well on the front-end from the seven-hole on January 18 and moves inside on the gate tonight. He also gets a chance with Jason Bartlett driving. (1) BLOGMASTER came up just a neck short of winning the last time he was in against NW5000L5 base class foes at Yonkers (December 21).
