BEST BET - MAGRITTE (3rd)
SPOT PLAY - BABS JANSEN (1st)
Race 1 - F&M NW6/75000LT Pace
(2) BABS JANSEN moves inside on the gate this week and might have needed that start last Wednesday as she had been off since 11-3. (5) VIOLETS RAINBOW raced conservatively a week ago from an outside post, but she drew mid-pack tonight, races for a high-percentage barn, and owns a win in this class on November 17. (7) BEST HEAD WEST was an impressive winner seven nights ago in her first start for trainer Nick Devita. She does go out on the gate from the pole position to post seven, and I will try and beat her.

Race 2 - F&M NW2/25000LT Pace
(4) ALWAYS B SOMEWHERE is a 2-year-old taking on older foes, but at this point of the year, I don't think that's a huge issue, and she's gained valuable experience in recent weeks over in Pennsylvania. She also hails from the always-capable Nifty Norman barn. (2) HELLRUNNER HANOVER has finished first or second in five of her last six starts and drew inside tonight. (5) NEVER NOT DANCING was victorious versus NW2's back on November 24 and gets another chance in the same class here.
Race 3 - 30000CLM Pace
(5) MAGRITTE comes in with two straight wins and is now in the high-percentage Gareth Dowse barn after being claimed last Wednesday. (1) PLAY THE FIELD is extremely sharp as he's finished first or second in his last six trips behind the gate. He also has a new trainer as Brandon Todd grabbed him a week ago, and he gets a chance to partner with Yannick Gingras. (7) MARTY MONKHOUSER A won the last time he faced $30,000 claimers on November 8, and I will toss him in despite the outside draw.

Race 4 - NW10000L5/Winners in Last Start of the Base Class NW7500L5/20000CLM Trot
(4) EVA DAIRPET FR has two straight victories by open lengths, and I will put her on top again as she continues to march up the class ladder. (6) MAGIC VACATION was in the Open Handicap as recently as mid-October, so we're getting to a level where he could turn things around. (3) STEALING showed his run of solid form in the amateur races was no accident as he was third in a NW10000L5 tilt last Wednesday.
Race 5 - 25000CLM Pace
(3) I GET THAT was able to get a check from post eight on 11-24 and slides inside on the gate tonight. (4) TIME OUT I'M TIRED put in a good effort from first-up to finish second a week ago and makes his second start out of the Bako barn here. (7) MCNULTY Z TAM gave $30,000 claimers a try on November 24 but didn't have any success. He moves back down to face $25,000 claiming company on this occasion, and I could see him rebounding.
Race 6 - NW7500L5/Winners in Last Start of the Base Class NW5000L5/15000CLM Trot
(1) HOBBS won the New York Sire Stakes final last year, but he's winless in 2021 and is running out of chances to change that. He makes his second start back after a layoff tonight and moves in from post eight to the pole position. (2) TORKIL is just one-for-31 in the win column this year, but this is usually the class where he picks his game up. Some post relief should help, too. (5) MUFASA AS exits a couple of tries against NW10000L5's both here and at the Meadowlands. He was second in his last try against NW7500L5's at Yonkers in mid-October.
Race 7 - F&M NW7500L5/Winners in Last Start of the Base Class NW5000L5/15000CLM Pace
I'm going to give (3) IDEAL HANNAH another shot as she makes her third appearance for trainer Travis Alexander and returns to the NW7500L5 level where she was a solid second two back. (5) ITTY BITTY aimed really high against $50,000 claimers on 11-30 and had post eight to boot. Based on that win on October 22 at Woodbine Mohawk Park, this should be a spot where she can contend. (6) IRON MISTRESS rallied from seventh to third in the final quarter last Wednesday and remains in the same class tonight.
Race 8 - 50000CLM Trot
(2) VAINQUEUR R P NO owns back-to-back wins in this class since coming in from Ohio, and he looks pretty tough tonight, especially since he drew inside. (4) ON HIGHER GROUND was a strong second to my top pick a week ago and has been first or second in his last four chances. (3) BLUE AND BOLD turned in an improved performance in his return to the Alexander stable last Wednesday. He had to do the first-over work against Vainqueur R P No, but plugged away to get third.
Race 9 - F&M NW8/100000LT Pace
(2) ANDRA DAY cruised over NW15000L5's two back and then was hampered by an outside draw a week ago. She received major post relief here, and I will give her a chance. (6) THEBEACHISCALLING saw her local win streak end last Wednesday, but it was still a quality effort, and she's a proven commodity. (8) JODY is the one that was able to down Thebeachiscalling seven nights ago. She's stuck out in the eight-hole here, but I think she remains usable.
Race 10 - 30000CLM Pace
(6) MACHIAVELLI went to Dowse last week via a claim. I will look for some improvement and put him on top. (5) BEVANS CULLEN N tossed in a clunker on 11-29, but he's back with trainer Cory Stratton, who won with him on November 17, and I'll use underneath. (2) MARINER SEELSTER has been first or second in his last four trips behind the gate, and the 12-year-old joined the Jenn Bongiorno barn after being claimed last Wednesday.
Race 11 - NW5000L5/12500CLM Trot
(2) VOLARE qualified well at Harrah's Philadelphia on 11-30 and is now racing with trotting hobbles. Add in that he's starting for high-percentage connections tonight, and I believe he's worth a chance. (6) MISS YOU KELLY finished third against bottom level foes back on November 24 and remains in the same class tonight. (1) ZOOMING left from post seven on 11-24 but ended up getting parked out. He has post relief here and a driver change.
