Race 1 - NW5000L5 Trot

(1) MANWILLING moves in from post six to the pole in his second start of 2023, and I anticipate more aggressive handling will be in store tonight. (3) MARION GONDOLIER can certainly take this race as he drops to the bottom level, but he had every chance a week ago and couldn't get the job done, and I think he's a play-against on the win end. (5) SECRET OR NOT was second against NW7500L5's on December 21 and exits that class tonight. He also gets a slighty better post than he had a week ago.

Race 2 - F&M NW4/50747LT Pace

(5) THE GYSPY QUEEN IR makes her U.S. debut tonight after a good qualifier at the Meadowlands, and I will swing with her. (1) RAISE THE ANTE went a long way on the lead a week ago before finishing second and moves in from the seven-hole to post one. (2) CATIE FAYE HANOVER is in solid form with just one off-the-board result in her last six outings.

Race 3 - NW7500L5/Winners in Last Start of the Base Class NW5000L5 Trot

(6) LOOK IN MY EYES drops out of the NW10000L5 class and finished up his mile a week ago with some trot. (1) CHIEF JUSTICE exits the $50,000 claimers in his second attempt out of the Jenn Bongiorno barn and has post relief to go with it. (5) ARABELLA'S CADET closed well from off-the-pace last Wednesday and comes out of the same race that my top pick does.

Race 4 - 50000CLM Trot

(1) BIG BAD SWAN ended last year with a second-place finish to All Champy, and that horse came back to win again a week ago. (2) IN MY DREAMS had to do the first-over work last week and tired, but he's bounced in rapid fashion from poor efforts before, so I will include. (5) PC FREE WHEELING has wound up third in her last four attempts for trainer Per Engblom, and I'm going to slot her in that spot again here.

Race 5 - 3-5YO 50000CLM Pace

(5) CAPTAIN T HANOVER gets out of the eight-hole here and just missed two back from a similar post. (6) STATE SENATOR is the now horse in this class with two straight wins, but he does move out from the pole position to post six. (2) ROSE RUN X-CON is very sharp with seven consecutive on-the-board results, including a pair of victories. He battled hard and was second to State Senator last Wednesday.

Race 6 - NW8711L5/Winners in Last Start of the Base Class NW5000L5 Trot

(1) NEWELL PLACE enjoyed a pretty productive 3-year-old campaign and makes her second start of 2022 tonight after finishing fourth in the Preferred at Freehold on 1-13. She squeezed into this race by $1 as she has $8,710 earned in her last five starts. (5) MON AMOUR looked like he had a win coming last week but make a break in the stretch. That looks like it was pretty uncharacteristic, so he'll probably be a threat again. (7) STARLIT RAMBO was favored in a NW10000L5 base class race a week ago but had to settle for a fourth-placed-third result. He'll likely offer a better price here.

Race 7 - 3-5YO 50000CLM Pace

(6) STELLAR YANKEE finished out his mile last week with a good kick after an inside trip and won at this level on December 14. (1) FORREST BLU prevailed in this class in his final appearance of 2022 on December 21 and returns to Yonkers after one unsuccessful try at the Meadowlands. (5) SHIP WRECK BEACH K had plenty of success in this class throughout the fall and winter and is definitely usable.

Race 8 - 50000CLM Trot

(5) MANHATTANUP NO ICE has won at Yonkers and recently joined the high-percentage Hunter Oakes barn. He does come off a sick scratch at Batavia, but since he's right back in the box, I expect he'll be fine. (3) ALL CHAMPY owns two consecutive wins in this class and landed another good post this time. (6) GEMOLOGIST gets out of the eight-hole tonight and goes for new connections after being claimed by Scott Di Domenico last Wednesday.

Race 9 - F&M NW7/75000LT Pace

(2) COMMANDER CATHY N prevailed in a NW6 race two back and drew inside tonight for the first time since back in late November. (3) PURE SILKY motored home in 28 seconds flat to finish third in her 2023 debut last Wednesday and gets significant post relief. She could go from 70-1 a week ago to the favorite here. (5) DOC'S DELIGHT came in second to the red-hot Frantasy Hanover last week and gets away from that rival this time.

Race 10 - NW5000L5 Trot

(6) JIVE NINETY FIVE was sixth in a NW7500L5 race last Wednesday and drops to the bottom level here for a barn that's off to a good start in 2023. (2) UPFRONT STONE shows a runner-up finish against $50,000 claimers as recently as November 23 and exits the NW7500L5 level. (1) STICK ME WITH KID advanced from seventh to fourth in the back-half of a NW7500L5 contest a week ago and slides inside from the seven-hole to the pole position.
