MEET STATS: 209 - 782 / $1,369.90 (-$194.10) BEST BETS: 33 - 75 / $138.90 (-$11.10) SPOT PLAYS: 14 - 76 / $192.90 (+$40.90) BEST BET - ITALIAN DELIGHT N (6th) SPOT PLAY - BAR COINS (8th) Race 1 - 15000CLM Pace I'm going to give (7) THE BEST TYME EVER one more shot tonight as he was on the lead when he made a break a week ago. Hopefully whatever caused that is ironed out here as he meets up with a beatable group. (4) CAMPORA N went a long ways on the lead two weeks ago before just missing by a nose. He makes his third start for trainer Scott Di Domenico. (2) VEL MR NICE GUY drops out of the $20,000 claimers following a fourth-place finish as the favorite last Wednesday. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2 - 3-5YO Open Pace (2) GREAT SOMEWHERE had no chance last Wednesday from an outside post but moves inside to the two-hole tonight and won nicely over NW30000L5's two back. He also gets a driver switch to Jason Bartlett. (1) SOUTHWIND PETYR hasn't been out of the top three since early August and has the pole. He also gets reunited with Joe Bongiorno. (5) ULTIMAROCA finished third in this class a week ago and is back on a normal weekly racing schedule tonight after having some gaps. Race 3 - F&M NW2/25389LT / F&M NW1/12500LT Drawn Inside Pace (4) JAVA invades from the Canadian Maritimes where she won five times this year and qualified well at Pocono with the addition of Lasix on 10-12. Trainer Nick Devita has been putting plenty of live horses on the track lately. (5) HUNGRY FOR MONEY also recently added Lasix and enters off a second-place result versus NW3's down at Harrah's Philadelphia. (6) HERE WE GO BB has hit the board in all of her efforts since coming east from Indiana and was second to the red-hot Dontkarenifido a week ago. Race 4 - 15000CLM Pace (3) LITTLE POWER won the last time he faced $15,000 claimers at Yonkers on 9-22 and took the lead from first-over against $20,000 claiming company a week ago before being overtaken. (5) MARINER SEELSTER gets post and class relief tonight and owns two recent victories at this level. (4) SOUTHWIND ONYX tallied in his debut out of the Devita barn last Wednesday and slides in a couple notches on the gate off that performance. Race 5 - F&M NW4/50000LT Pace (3) PRINCESS ARONA gained several spots to finish second behind a runaway winner last Wednesday and owns a prior victory at Yonkers on 9-16. (1) MARATHON MARY downed NW4's here on September 23 and moves back inside on the gate this time after starting from the seven-hole a couple weeks ago. (5) FRONDEUR hasn't won yet in 2023 but has hit the board in 10 of her 17 appearances. I'll slot her underneath. Race 6 - 20000CLM Pace (5) ITALIAN DELIGHT N gives Devita another contender on the card as he drops a notch off a win over $25,000 claimers on 10-6 and kept Bartlett in the bike. (4) LEAVE AND ROLL racked up another top-three finish last Wednesday. He did lose Bartlett to my top pick, but he gets reunited with Bongiorno, who steered him to a victory two back. (2) TWIN B SPEED DIAL enters off back-to-back second-place finishes against $20,000 claimers. He was claimed by new connections a week ago and has George Brennan to steer again. Race 7 - NW2/25000LT / NW1/12500LT Drawn Inside Trot (3) TOMBSTONE was third in his last try on 10-12 and gets to face NW1 and NW2 mixed company tonight after facing mixed NW2 and NW4 foes in that event. (7) STRATEGIC moves to an outside post tonight but cruised in a NW2 tilt last Wednesday and seems to be enjoying the recent addition of trotting hobbles. (5) FULL SCALE exits that same NW2/NW4 contest my top pick does and was a solid second versus NW2 on the 28th of September. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 8 - NW6/75000LT / NW4/50000LT Drawn Inside Trot (3) BAR COINS owns two second-place finishes against NW8 foes in his lines and drew well again. He's on a bit of an in-and-out pattern right now, and if that holds, he'd be set for a good effort tonight. (5) WILD BILL KELSO disappointed as the favorite on 10-11 when he broke, but he's still a major threat given his good season that included a second-place finish in the NY Sire Stakes final. (8) SMOOTH LANDING drew poorly again but defeated NW4's from the seven-hole on October 12 and is a recent addition to the Jenn Bongiorno stable. Race 9 - NW4/50000LT Trot (8) INN AT RODANTHE doesn't have a great win record and had a big lead that he coughed up at Woodbine Mohawk Park most recently, but he's a newcomer to Per Engblom's barn, and that's usually a green light for improvement, even from a bad post. (5) PARTY AT SEVEN gained spots and ground to finish fourth in a NW4 race on October 12 and has a couple of recent victories out of town. (3) QUARANTINA broke last Wednesday but definitely knows her way to the winner's circle, and I'll look for her to rebound and include.
