MEET STATS: 181 - 821 / $1,405.34 (-$236.66) BEST BETS: 41 - 83 / $173.12 (+$7.12) SPOT PLAYS: 7 - 83 / $80.68 (-$85.32) BEST BET - DURANTE HANOVER (8th) SPOT PLAY - NOT UNCERTAIN (6th) Race 1 - Winners of 2 but not more than 4 PM Races or 60000LT Trot The trip worked out perfectly for (4) YOU GUESSED IT last week, but he's romped in both outings since adding Lasix, and I'll put him on top again tonight. (8) CLEAR FOR LANDING broke two back but has been razor-sharp other than that for leading trainer Per Engblom, and I expect he'll be put in play despite the wide draw. (5) SEVEN LAYER doesn't have a great win record at just one-for-22 but has hit the board in five of his last seven appearances and was second to my top selection a week ago. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2 - 20000CLM Pace (4) CAPTAIN T HANOVER debuts here for a stable that's winning at a 27% clip locally since September 1 and was victorious over $15,000 claiming foes two back. (1) TIN ROOF RAIDER A steps up from the $15,000 claiming level but does so off a romping win and moves in from post eight to the pole position. He also got the nod from Bartlett over an Engblom trainee. (3) SHADOW CAT is the Engblom horse Bartlett chose off of, but he still looks usable to me as he drops a notch off a fourth against $25,000 claiming company on 9-27. Race 3 - F&M Winners of 2 but not more than 4 PM Races or 60000LT Pace (4) GABBYS WISH comes south from Saratoga in sharp form for a high-percentage stable, and I'll look for her to keep the good times rolling tonight. (8) LILY WHITE HANOVER starts from the eight-hole but was Bartlett's choice and was a good second in her return to overnight action most recently at Pocono. (1) SHANGRI LA HANOVER owns a runner-up result in this class back on September 10 and gets post relief off a fifth-place finish in her most recent appearance. Race 4 - 25000CLM Pace I'll give (2) ALEX TYE another chance here as he starts from an inside post and doesn't have to face the sharp Warrior For Truth, who he's finished second to in consecutive outings. (4) HURRIKANEKINGJAMES won over $25,000 claiming foes on September 11 and was second when last seen a couple of weeks ago. (7) SAWYER'S DESIRE steps up from the $20,000 claiming level but cruised to a handy win last Wednesday and has the Bartlett/Engblom tandem behind him. Race 5 - Winners of 2 but not more than 4 PM Races or 60000LT Trot (2) TEQUILA TALKING AS got the job done in this class once back in late August and has closed well in her last two outings. Add in post relief and another chance to partner with Bartlett, and I'll give her top call. (4) COUSIN HALIFAX remains winless in 2025 but was the runner-up at this level on both 9-17 and 10-8. He also recently added Lasix. (1) WISH LIST starts from post one and was able to follow along and hit the board a couple of weeks ago. I think the same thing could happen here to spice up trifectas and superfectas. Race 6 - Winners of 2 but not more than 4 PM Races or 60000LT Trot (8) NOT UNCERTAIN landed the eight-hole again and broke last Wednesday, but I did notice he closed with trot. I'll hope Engblom has him ironed out in his second try from his stable and Bartlett puts him in the mix. (5) SUMMER YOUNG moves in on the gate after she had post eight in her last appearance a couple of weeks ago. She has a victory at this level on 9-6 and was also second on 9-13. (2) SEISMIC STEP's only recent off-the-board effort was against the best of New York in the sire stakes final, and he won the sire stakes leg here back in mid-July. Race 7 - NW5796L5 / 12500CLM Pace (2) EUPHORIA N squeezed into this race by a dollar as he has $5,795 earned in his last five starts and went a long way on the lead before he wound up second last Tuesday. (1) CASINO ACTION N was second to a well-meant winner in a $20,000 claiming event a week ago and starts from post one again here. He was also Brent Holland's choice. (5) SARGEANT SONNY is likely to take a lot of play with the driver switch to Bartlett and certainly could win on that factor alone. Race 8 - Winners of 5 but not more than 7 PM Races or 90000LT Trot (5) DURANTE HANOVER and (7) MEETMEATTHEBAR were first and second in this class a week ago and I'll bank on the same result occurring tonight. DURANTE HANOVER is making his third start for trainer Ron Burke, while MEETMEATTHEBAR does have a victory at this level two back. (4) SUNDAY'S BRUNCH slides in from post eight to the four-hole in her third outing for trainer Cory Stratton and was third in her debut for that stable from post five on September 27. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 9 - F&M 20000CLM Pace (2) KAT is a first-timer for that same hot stable as my top pick back in Race 2 and held sway on the front-end to tally at this level last Tuesday. (1) YOU BEDA ROCK was one of the top dogs in this class in late August and into September and gets significant post relief this time. (7) NORTHERN HALO got the nod from Bartlett over two others and has a pair of victories and a second in her last three outings with him in the bike. Race 10 - 15000CLM Pace (6) KILOWATT KID N tired after he went two-wide out of the pocket a couple of weeks ago but was sharp prior to that, and I think he'll offer a much better price than he has lately. (2) SOUTH POINT comes in off a romping win over $15,000 claimers in his last try and also owns a victory back on 9-6. (4) THE REGULATOR makes his third start back after a layoff for Engblom and was third when last seen on October 1.
