Yonkers: Analysis for Tuesday 9/6

MEET STATS: 322 - 930 / $1,588.90 (-$271.10)
BEST BETS: 51 - 87 / $197.60 (+$23.60)
Best Bet: TRENDY TEEN (5th)
Spot Play: BUDDY HILL (3rd)
Race 1: 3-4YO NW2 races or $25,000 lifetime Pace
(6) MIND HUNTER is a well-bred youngster from good connections making only his second start as a 3YO but he finished willingly in that seasonal debut and can build off that effort. (2) DOUBLE TROUBLE burned money last week at Pocono and maybe the change in scenery will help him out as he makes only his sixth lifetime start. (3) JITTERBUG FLIP just missed from a nice pocket ride last week and he lands in a similar spot tonight.

Race 2: 3-5YO NW6 races or $75,000 lifetime Pace
(4) BIG CHIC MAGNET has been facing decent stock recently out of town and the Bongiorno trainee has a recent sub-1:50 win to his credit; he may offer a little more value than rival (5) COPPER TEEN. The latter gave a good accounting of himself when at Yonkers a couple of months back and the Engblom trainee lures Bartlett back in the bike. (1) COLD CREEK FELIPE steps up to face tougher off a solid win but he loses the leading driver.

Race 3: NW20000 in last 5 starts Pace
(1) BUDDY HILL breezed at Batavia in 1:52 1/5 and returns with the post edge on his main rivals so therefore gets top billing. (5) ALWAYS AND AGAIN has been in a bit tough recently but he's prospered at this level in the past; Bartlett is back driving. (8) SPLASH BROTHER is the most talented horse in here but is stuck in the eight hole and faces an uncertain trip.
Race 4: 3-4YO F&M NW2 races or $25,000 lifetime Pace
(7) ADDISON SEELSTER went evenly last week in behind the favorites and overall it was a decent acclimating mile for the Gillis trainee; she's saddled with a tough post here but will offer a nice price should he get lucky with a trip. (4) ROLL WITH SHORTY rallied nicely to be close in her last two. (2) NOT SO EVIL moves inside and figures to be the controlling speed as the likely favorite.
Race 5: 3-5YO NW4 races or $50,000 lifetime Pace
(5) TRENDY TEEN powered away to beat similar last start and it's hard to make a case against him here; only downside is the miniscule price being offered. (3) LOU'S BEACH was uninvolved last week when bumped up to this NW4 level but he finished with some pace for a 5th-place check and now the Toscano trainee gets significant post relief. (6) LET'SNOTFORGETIT has been racing big at Monti recently with Lauren Tritton doing the driving; Siegelman gets the call tonight.
Race 6: 3-4YO F&M NW6 races or $75,000 lifetime Pace
(8) CHERYLS SHADOW has taken three straight on the front end since arriving from Mohawk as she's climbing the class ladder; filly tries the NW6 base class tonight and new driver Bartlett should be able to get her away from the gate in good order. (1) JE T'AIME N was aggressively handled at Philly in her U.S. debut but folded badly; she gives Yonkers a try, where she had initially qualified in good order. (4) CHILLIN BYTHE POOL picked up a check in the Empire Breeders Classic last week at Tioga.
Race 7: NW20000 in last 5 starts Pace
(3) SETH HANOVER bumped to this level last week and finished a good second from the pocket; he should be in line for a similar trip tonight and perhaps he can get it done. (4) DELIGHTFUL TERROR was just okay last week when he dropped from the $75K claiming level. Gillis trainee hasn't shown an abundance of early speed lately but he does try Bartlett in the bike (with Stratton MIA) and maybe he can get going earlier. (5) ULTIMAROCA tired on the front end facing some tough ones last week; Burke trainee will appreciate the drop in class.

Race 8: F&M $50,000 Claiming Pace
(4) JOSSIE JAMES A powered home off cover to win easily three back, which was her first race off the Dowse claim. She finds herself back in for a tag and is clearly the one to beat. (3) CAVIART CHERIE is getting closer to that long-awaited victory and she appears the main threat. (2) MILLWOOD BONNIE N can save ground and pick up a piece.
Race 9: NW5000 in last 5 starts Pace
(8) SHINE A LIGHT is one of two Rideau shippers on the card that join the Dowse barn. This gelding is 0 for 20 on the season and lands the eight hole while off some time, but he gets Bartlett to drive and faces a blank field. Watch the board and look at all the multi-race will-pays for signs of life. (5) TELL THEM LOU gets the talented youngster Braxton Boyd back in the bike for his local return and he's generally been facing better. (2) SAMSON BLUE CHIP woke up with a better effort last start but note that Bartlett went with the top choice despite also being a regular on Blackler trainees.
