2023 MEET STATS: 314 - 903 / $1,564.60 (-$241.40)
BEST BETS: 49 - 84 / $158.60 (-$9.40)
BEST BET: CHURCHVIEWFRANKL IR (9th)
SPOT PLAY: OUTLITTLEMIRACLE (1st)
Race 1: F&M $50,000 Claiming Pace
(3) OUTLITTLEMIRACLE has drawn outside posts in her three starts off the Bako claim and this is the best spot she's seen for these connections. Mare figures to be involved at some point. (1) CHUPPAH ON is always a threat with her controlling speed. (2) HP XANADU has taken three of four, including two for this barn; sharp player.

Race 2: 3-5YO NW4 races or $50,000 lifetime Pace
(3) HUNTING ZONE has been caught up in some fast miles recently and this race doesn't seem as tough; decent starting post makes him the pick. (5) SHUFFLE UP HANOVER hails from the livest of connections and will be rolling early. (2) COUNTER OFFER gets needed post relief and this driver is good at saving ground and giving himself a chance to roll late,

Race 3: 3-5YO NW2 races or $25,000 lifetime Pace
(2) TAKE A BREAK has been tearing it up both at Saratoga and in Ontario before then. He deserves a chance on a bigger stage to see what he can bring, and the inside post ensures he'll be on or near the lead. (8) LOUIE HANOVER faltered late in his first start for new connections and now the Bako trainee is stuck in the eight hole. Assuming Kakaley will be getting him in play early he could offer some value. (1) BROOKVIEW DICE was much better in his second local start and may have to go even faster here.
Race 4: F&M $25,000 Claiming Pace
(3) ALWAYS B MIMI was able to slide by late to win first out off the Engblom claim and she faces much of the same. Bartlett now drives. (4) FEELIN RED HOT was somehow dismissed at 5/1 last week and was just nailed by the top choice; her early speed always makes her a contender, no matter what post or what class. (1) WILDCAT ANTONIA bumps back up a notch off a win and she lands the rail again, but has no early speed. Joe B handled the Burke trainee well in that victory last week.
Race 5: NW15000 in last 5 starts Trot
(7) UNEVERGONNAGETHIS has hit the board in 14 of 15 this year and the consistent sort has overcome the outside post in the past. (1) SWEET SOUL DAVID has tailed off as he's been dropping down the class ladder but he's got speed from the rail. (4) SLAY just can't seem to get going in his 4YO season after banking over $700K as a youngster; mixed feelings here.
Race 6: NW5000 in last 5 starts Trot
(2) PC FREE WHEELING is tough to pass on at this bottom conditioned level as we've seen the Garcia-Herrera trotter prosper against much better in the past. (6) DIRTY MONEY broke last week upon arrival from Ohio but the Virgil Morgan trainee is right back in, faces softer and will be a price. (1) EMPEREURTHEBEST FR hasn't exactly been tearing it up at Philly for DiDomenico so maybe the venue change helps.
Race 7: NW7621 in last 5 starts Trot
(8) DRACO S has an unknown driver in the bike from the eight hole but he's got some good efforts facing better and the Engblom trainee will be a big price. (2) BAZILLIONAIRE always picks up a check when not a factor but the drop and good post should make him one of the major players here. (4) MUFASA AS picks up Stratton and has raced well in his last couple. Hard to get excited about anyone in here.
Race 8: NW10000 in last 5 starts Trot
(4) TORRONE blew away a softer field last week and has a legit chance to repeat with Holland getting the call. (2) GLOBAL BELIEVER S is two for two since arriving from Europe and he gives the half mile a try tonight; interesting. (6) SWAN FLYER enters the Burke barn tonight and lands Brennan. Talent is there as he's the top money-earner here for 2023.
Race 9: 3-5YO NW6 races or $75,000 lifetime Pace
(4) CHURCHVIEWFRANKL IR looked visually impressive last week as he pounced and drew off; Burke import gets the call to repeat. (2) HUNGRY MAN was last seen locally in the Messenger where he was never involved from the eight hole; he's otherwise been a fringe stakes player for the Alagna barn and he finds a decent spot here. (1) ROCK THE BELLES was a nice winner in his debut for the Bongiorno barn and he may have more to offer.

Race 10: F&M $50,000 Claiming Pace
(6) MIKI THE CLOWN was razor-sharp last week kicking clear from the field after setting a pressured pace; I'll stick with her despite the negative post change hoping for a little value. (1) SHECANDANCE N was second best to the top one, now goes back to Bartlett. (4) PARTY CRUISER was claimed last week for $72,500 by Berkeley coming off the Burke train. She was a winner two back and close belatedly last week from too far back.
Race 11: F&M $20,000 Claiming Pace
(4) TUGGINGONCREDIT disappointed first out for DiDomenico and now drops below the level of the claim, and she's just 1 for 27 this year as well. I'm hoping for a turnaround. (3) TRIZZLE TRAZZLE completely dominated in her last three, paying $3.10, $2.30 and $2.10. As she was reclaimed at a premium by Laterza she will be odds-on again but I just can't take that sort of price. (7) NORMANS MADELINE put in a big effort in defeat last week and she's worth a look despite the seven hole; will be good value.
