Race 1: POP-UP SERIES for NW20000 in last 5 Pace
(1) RAUKAPUKA RULER N was put in play early last week (what a concept!) and proved a comfortable winner. Now he draws the rail in this small field with a boosted purse for this "pop-up" event and he should go down the road again. (4) ROCKAPELO showed some life last start for the first time in weeks and he's clearly the main threat to the top one. (2) MELODIES MAJOR gets needed post relief and doesn't need to do much running to pick up a nice piece of this obnoxiously high purse.

Race 2: POP-UP SERIES for NW20000 in last 5 Pace
As long as (1) PYRO gets away in good order he should be able to beat these. (2) DANCIN DRAGON gets post relief and has proven more than capable with this type. (5) BLACK CHEVRON N just missed from the pocket last week at the $40K claiming level, and that was after missing time due to a sick scratch.

Race 3: POP-UP SERIES for NW20000 in last 5 Pace
(1) MACH DORO A got away with a reasonable pace on the front end last week and he kicked clear with authority; strategy should be the same here. (5) AFLAME HANOVER has been a good one from the outset for the Shadels and he was a winner in his local return. (2) BILL HALEY N will be close up throughout and should land a share.
Race 4: POP-UP SERIES for NW20000 in last 5 Pace
(5) ESCAPETOTHEBEACH had no chance last start from the eight hole and prior to that he had been holding his own versus some solid competition; unfortunately he's drawn outside his main rivals here but that will help his price. (4) BETTOR MEMORIES was a solid second last week from the pocket and we know this Burke-trained veteran has loads of class. (2) PRETTY HANDSOME ships in from the Canada B tracks and joins the Jenn Bongiorno barn; watch out!
Race 5: $12,500 Claiming Pace
(1) JUNIOR’S DEW arrives from Monticello and joins the Bako barn, which has been on fire locally; he also gets Kakaley in the bike while drawing the rail. (4) DANCIN DOUG ships from Northfield for Clegg, shows speed and gets the catch-driving Brennan tonight. (2) WINNING LINC returned to a familiar barn off the claim last week but looked a little uncomfortable while on the lead; he's more than capable if they have him straightened out.
Race 6: NW2 races or $25,000 lifetime Pace
(5) BETWEEN I N U ships in from Canada and joins the DiDomenico barn; we know this angle has clicked in the past. (4) BET ON BLAKE was odds-on in this class last out but could not stall the pocket-sitter; Dowse trainee gets another chance here. (2) A SHORE LEGACY arrives off a win at Philly and the lightly-raced 3-year-old seems to be getting better with each start.
Race 7: NW4 races or $50,000 lifetime Pace
(6) MARLBANK ROAD faces some legit talent in here but he looked as sharp as any winning last week and should offer a touch of value as the likely second choice. (3) UCANTTOUCHTHIS hit town from Canada last week making his debut for the DiDomenico barn and he powered off in 1:52 2/5. Does he repeat that effort, look even stronger, or bounce a bit? (4) STELLAR YANKEE was also a winner last week in a NW4 event but the race was timed slower than the others; still, a win is a win.
Race 8: NW4 races or $50,000 lifetime Pace
(3) A B COLLINS was second best to the lock-city winner last week and that's two straight on-the-board finishes; he faces no standouts in here and could be ready for his return to the winner's circle. (1) KEYSTONE NOLAN didn’t have the easiest trips last start; he's got early speed to set up a live trip. (2) NORTHERN BACARRAT has yet to make a serious impact since bumping to this NW4 level but this is the best starting spot he's seen here in quite some time.
Race 9: NW6 races or $75,000 lifetime Pace
(1) HIPPESTCATINTOWN went down the road with ease as expected last week as the odds-on chalk. Jenn Bongiorno trainee lands the rail and seems to have a tactical edge on rival (3) EXPLOIT. The latter has plenty of stakes experience (and moderate success) for Alagna and he should go well here. (2) MAJOR BEAN did well to hold a board spot last week after being repelled by the top choice.

Race 10: NW8 races or $100,000 lifetime Pace
(4) GAMBLINGTERROR has been as solid as they come while working his way through the conditioned ranks and he can take this with any reasonable trip. (7) CODY HANOVER went a big effort in defeat in his first start for the Jenn Bongiorno barn and while he lands another poor post he must be included. (1) DIAMONDBEACH gave way on the front end last week but he draws the rail and can use his speed to set up a live trip.
Race 11: NW7500 in last 5 Pace
(1) BENHOPE RULZ N has been in some tough spots recently while chasing better stock but he drops, draws inside and lures Bartlett to drive. (6) HEAVEN'S GAIT dropped and popped last week and he's got the class to work his way back up the ladder. (4) FIZZING N also faces a bit easier and the Vallee import can land a share.
