Yonkers: Analysis for Tuesday 9/14

Matt Rose|Sep 13, 2021
Yonkers Logo 1.5

MEET STATS: 318 - 903 / $1,705.00 (-$101.00)

BEST BETS: 43 - 85 / $135.20 (-$34.80)

Best Bet: SAMSON BLUE CHIP (4th)

Spot Play: KEYSTONE NOLAN (2nd)

Race 1: $12,500 Claiming Pace

(1) BEGINNER'S LUCK was pressed early then overtaken by a classy rival in his last start; he draws inside again looking to make amends. (3) ARCANE SEELSTER gets much-needed post relief for an outfit that's going well now; he figures to be much more involved. (2) BUGGER BRUISER goes back to the Quevedo barn via re-claim and he looks as competitive as most of these in here; low morning-line may suck some of the value out of him, however.

Race 2: NW4 races or $50,000 lifetime Pace

(3) KEYSTONE NOLAN faces a bit easier group tonight and he has flashed good early speed in the past; legit chance that the Pat Lachance student can trip out here. (1) NEVER EASY Z TAM likely needed last week's start and he can be excused for tiring after he pulled from third with Larry Lincoln N cruising on the front end. (4) CARRYTHETORCHMAN will attract plenty of attention with those nice finishes in his last two.

Race 3: $20,000 Claiming Pace

(3) MACH TIME N didn't race badly at all last start and the veteran draws decently again while having proven that he can fit with this type; he can take this with a favorable trip. (2) VENIER HANOVER was a solid winner upon arrival; recent addition to the Cory Stratton barn is sharp enough to tackle better. (5) MAJOR BUCKS has been a solid-money earner recently and he stays at winning level off the Jared Bako claim. That barn has had a good recent run here.

Race 4: NW2 races or $25,000 lifetime Pace

(1) SAMSON BLUE CHIP was overmatched in the NYSS and his connections recently unloaded him. He resurfaces in the Blackler barn and gets a driver upgrade to Bartlett while drawing best. (5) MAJOR SHOW was a decent third two back and he has a nice run going of sub :28 kickers; Godinez trainee can be a player here. (7) KING SPENCER certainly seems fast enough to take this but must find a way into the race from this poor starting spot.

Race 5: NW7500 in last 5 starts Pace

(3) BETTER UP faces a bit softer here for the live Milici barn and he was an upset winner here a couple of months back at the NW10000 level. No reason he can't be right there at the wire with any sort of reasonable trip. (6) DELIGHTFUL TERROR bumps up a notch off a solid win in 1:52 4/5. That victory could serve as a confidence booster for this 4-year-old. (2) TOWNLINE ALL GOOD finally made some money with last week's wire-to-wire win. Considering he was claimed for $50K not too long ago he should be able to handle the rise in class.

Race 6: NW4 races or $50,000 lifetime Pace

(2) MARLBANK ROAD was the easiest kind of winner last week so I don't see the move from NW2 to NW4 being a major problem; a repeat of that effort can get it done again. (1) MAJOR MAKEOVER has had moderate success this season and he was a good second last week to the lock-city Larry Lincoln; major player from the rail. (3) JIM BLUE caved in under harsh pressure last week; he should be coming from slightly off the pace tonight and can garner a share.

Race 7: NW15000 in last 5 starts Pace

(3) REBELLIOUS didn't fire when sent to the rim last week but he can be excused for that effort as the odds-on leader was preparing for sprint mode. He's been plenty competitive with this type in the past. (2) HICKFROMFRENCHLICK had solid pace at both ends last week to upset Springsteen; Schnittker trainee will likely be favored to repeat. (1) SADIQ HANOVER has overachieved and earned well since arriving locally three back and he's in a spot to land another good share.

Race 8: NW2 races or $25,000 lifetime Pace

(3) CONFIDENCE MAN was a good second last week chasing the handy winner; recent addition to the Devita barn can use that effort as a springboard to the winner's circle. (1) BET ON BLAKE recently arrived at Philly from Canada to join the Dowse barn and he pummeled a NW1 field there; we'll see if he's good enough to beat these. (5) CAPTAIN GOOGLE was a pocket-sitting winner last week in a NW2 field at Pocono for Erv Miller.

Race 9: NW6 races or $75,000 lifetime Pace

(2) CAPTAIN SLEAZE beat a pretty good field on the engine last start and he may be able to get brave on the front end again if Holland can secure the lead without too much trouble. (4) LARRY LINCOLN N moved all the way inside last week and took ALL the money as expected and the recent import got the job done easily. He gets a bigger test tonight. (6) HIPPESTCATINTOWN was stuck in the pocket last week and settled for third as the 1/5 favorite. Jenn Bongirono trainee will offer a much more appealing price tonight.

Race 10: NW8 races or $100,000 lifetime Pace

(4) IDEAL ARTILLERY had the post eight blues last start but he finds a better spot tonight and will be close enough to reach, if he's good enough. (6) SAVE ME A DANCE arrives for Burke and has been doing good work out of town; expect Brennan to be aggressive with this one. (1) DIAMONDBEACH tries Stratton tonight draws the rail; perhaps he can save ground for a share.

Race 11: NW10000 in last 5 starts Pace

(5) BELTANE A bumps back up a notch in class off a nice win and faces a tough-to-figure field with no standouts. He would be no surprise here if Zeron can work out a good trip. (3) WATERWAY wasn't bad last week in what was definitely a needed start coming off a bit of a break. (1) JM'S DELIGHT gives up a class edge to most of these but he's been holding his own against good stock recently.
