Race 1: Italian/American Amateurs. F&M $20,000 Claiming Pace
(4) SOUTHWIND MINA is a fresh face shipping in and is tagged at the $20K level. Expecting some action up front from these amateurs so maybe she can pick them off late. (2) FRONDEUR is strictly the one to beat but she’ll have a target on her back. (1) BROOKDALE JESSIE has proven competent when drawn inside and she has an equally competent and experienced pilot.

Race 2: Italian/American Amateurs. NW5000 in last 5 starts Pace
Looks like the U.S has a stranglehold on this second amateur affair. (4) MAXIMUS RED A was a $40K claim that hasn’t worked out yet for the Bongiorno barn but he can have his way with these, especially if (1) THRASHER doesn’t fire. (5) NOME HANOVER has been very disappointing since the DiDomenico claim but he can pick up the pieces here.

Race 3: F&M $20,000 Claiming Pace
(6) OURLITTLEMIRACLE just missed from the pocket in last week’s drop to this level and a similar effort will get it done. (3) TERACITA likes to burn money as she’s come up short in multiple recent races. 4YO mare should have an easy early lead again. (5) THUNDRA returns locally after a reasonably successful stint at Pocono.
Race 4: F&M $50,000 Claiming Pace
(2) CHASE YOU had willing pace in her local return and I suspect a more aggressive approach is coming tonight. (5) NO WIN NO FEED A has been a claiming mainstay here and she quickly rebounded from a poor effort with a good second last week; major player. (4) FREESTARFLIGHT has been an early presence in all recent with mixed results. Maybe Stratton stays back a bit with her and tries for late action.
Race 5: F&M $20,000 Claiming Pace
(8) SHEIKH YABOOTY N was forced to grind from the back in her first start for these connections and that’s not best game. Poor post again but if new driver Bartlett can fire her off the gate and make it on or near the lead she’ll have big chance at a decent mutuel. (2) LYONS MIKI is always an off-the-pace commodity but she sees a rare inside post tonight so Marohn can have her closer. (4) HARPER SEELSTER has three seconds and a win in her last four at this level and is an obvious contender and likely favorite.
Race 6: F&M $25,000 Claiming Pace
(3) NUTTINBUTHEBEST hasn’t won in a few months but she always puts in a respectable effort and tonight she has a bit of a post advantage over her main rivals and that could get her over the top. (4) LARJON LEAH trailed from the outside post last week in her return to the Crissman barn but she gets post relief and has won for these connections in the past. (6) ALWAYS BE CITY was a winner from a similar spot two starts back and she’s gaining late ground practically every start.
Race 7: 2-5YO Winners of 2-4 or $60,000 LT Pace
(3) FORWARD LOOK was nipped on the wire after a good try upon arrival from Pocono and the late-blooming 4YO deserves the call with the post improvement. (2) RENAISSANCE DEO raced well in a needed start and looms the main threat. (6) I AINT NO MACK has raced well in age-restricted claimers since shipping south and joining the Bako barn. That form can translate well here and he can rally for a share.
Race 8: NW15000 in last 5 starts Pace
(2) EUPHORIA N has won two straight since Bartlett took over the lines and he sticks with the Vallee veteran. (3) FAMILY RECIPE could not convert last week when odds-on dropping in class; improved price now. (7) ENDOFSTORY is a talented 3YO but he does face more seasoned foes and from a poor post. Obviously his best chance comes with Kakaley getting off the gate in good order.
Race 9: NW20761 in last 5 starts Pace
(1) PANETTONE HANOVER used a strong late turn of speed to nail the win last week and that was after missing some time. He essentially gets to face the same class in his now second start for the Bongiorno barn and is pegged to repeat. (4) CHURCHVIEWFRANKL IR was successful in local return and Bartlett drives again up in class. (6) SEMI TOUGH is most effective at this level but the poor post may limit him to a smaller share.

Race 10: 3-5YO Open Pace
(5) BIRTHDAY has been a decent earner since arriving at Yonkers for Burke a few months ago and he faces a softer 3-5YO Open field than he’s accustomed to; he’s got the ability to get it done and just needs a smooth trip. (2) TWIN B SEAMONSTER has certainly been a monster out in Ohio recently and that Yonkers qualifier seems to serve notice that he’s ready to roll. (3) THE GOOD DOCTOR is back up in class looking to win another and Bartlett drives again.
Race 11: NW20000 in last 5 starts Pace
(4) KINGSVILLE has raced well enough to win in all recent but he just hasn’t been able to get over the hump. Maybe tonight’s the night at an improved price. (2) ROCKIN N TALKIN was nailed late in a good try last week; logical again from a similar spot. (3) CENTURY ENDEAVOR moves from claimers to face conditioned foes and maybe this is a better fit; Stratton trainee has hit the board in a majority of his recent races and he’ll be a price.
Race 12: F&M $50,000 Claiming Pace
(6) CALLMEQUEENBEE A has been a winning machine of late taking four straight in decisive fashion. Veteran mare does change hands via claim but retains Bartlett and this is a pretty soft field. (2) MACHS LEGACY A may be ambitiously placed but she’s been sharp at Pocono; I’ll consider underneath along with (5) NIKASA N, who steps up to $50’s off a solid win first-time out for Stratton.
