Yonkers: Analysis for Tuesday 8/8

Race 1: F&M $20,000 Claiming Pace

(2) A CRAFTY LADY returns from Pocono for a crafty trainer in Garcia-Herrera and though she's tailed of a bit recently she looks like a good fit with this type. (5) TRIZZLE TRAZZLE was shuffled last week and finished evenly first off the claim; switches to Kakaley but I don't see why she's so low on the morning-line. (4) NORMAN'S MADELINE did win two back when Holland was driving.

Race 2: F&M $25,000 Claiming Pace

(4) SWEET SANDY LOU was probably a tad overmatched at the $50K claiming level but should appreciate facing a bit softer at this new, lower claiming class. (3) NUTTINBUTTHEBEST had a great setup last week and did rally well for second. (6) TUGGINGONCREDIT has been facing better in most starts with limited success; she's a contender for good connections but the outside post is tough.

Race 3: 3-5YO NW8 races or $100,000 lifetime Pace

(8) DREAMFAIR ARNIE B is clearly the most accomplished in here despite just one win; Pelling trainee should be firing off the gate. (4) MY MIKI BEACH has taken his last two on the front end and he leaves every week so we'll know where to find him. (1) MORE THAN YA KNOW has hit the board in his last four local tries without a win to show for it; 3YO can fill out the ticket again.

Race 4: F&M $50,000 Claiming Pace

(3) GOLDEN QUEST N was done in by post eight last week, snapping her mighty streak of 1st and 2nd place finishes. She goes back to the Lorentzon barn where she won three back from a similar spot. (1) MIKI ROSE moves all the way back inside and Holland gets the call again with regular driver Bartlett out of town. Big threat starting from the rail. (4) COWGIRL LILLY has been very sharp and looks to double up this week; she changes hands again, now to the Daguet barn.

Race 5: 3-5YO NW2 races or $25,000 lifetime Pace

(4) GABE HANOVER invades from Plainridge, were he's been a consistent presence every start this year. Holland picks up the drive and the 3YO looks like he's a good fit. (6) TRAIN STATION saved ground and finished with pace in his local return; he makes another start here outside of the NYSS but has his work cut out for him from this post. (1) KID DID IT has some speed and moves all the way to the rail.

Race 6: NW21671 in last 5 starts Pace

(6) YOROKOBI N needs to work out a trip from this spot but the Pete Tritton import finishes well every week, with almost all sub-28 last quarters. Worth a look in competitive field. (3) NUTTIN BUT FINESSE was in over his head in his last two Yonkers starts but raced last week at Saratoga and took them down the road. With Holland back driving I can envision another speed try. (1) JUDDY DOUGLAS A had dead aim on the leader last week but was turned away; Figures in the number but tough to put on top.

Race 7: NW15000 in last 5 starts Pace

(1) SOUTHWIND PETYR is a four-time winner at the age-restricted Open level this year; now the Bongiorno trainee is down in class and from the rail; down the road. (4) MR PERFECT N has been closing a ton recently and now should be closer to the pace with the post improvement. (5) BUDDY HILL has won two straight and is up in class again looking for another.

Race 8: NW10971 in last 5 starts Pace

(3) WALKINSHAW N double-drops in class and hasn't been in this low in ages; he faces some decent competition but should be able to get the job done. (2) ROLLING WITH SAM has finished third in his last couple of starts at this level; with the post improvement he should definitely hit the ticket again, maybe in the place spot tonight. (1) MONTANA STORM N is coming around a bit slowly since arriving state-side and I think a breakout effort is coming soon.

Race 9: NW15691 in last 5 starts Pace

It's safe to say that classy gelding (3) AMERICAN MERCURY has regained his stride since moving to the Bongiorno outfit; goes for fourth straight tonight. (2) SAMHARA N was pretty good in defeat last week at the NW20000 level; picks up Brennan on the move inside and should be a player. (1) EL LE TISSIER N moves all the way inside while dropping and Siegelman should have him away in good order sitting a close-up trip.

Race 10: F&M $50,000 Claiming Pace

(6) TRAFALGAR fired from the eight hole last week and sat a pocket to #1 then sailed by late for the upset; we won't see 8/1 tonight if he repeats, which is certainly possible. (1) FEELIN RED HOT has been unable to seal the deal in her last two but they were still solid efforts; veteran can still bring it. (5) PURAMERI has been in the money each of her last three versus similar.

Race 11: 3-5YO NW4 races or $50,000 lifetime Pace

(3) CENTURY INSPECTOR raced well last week, especially early when he showed solid speed off the gate; Nifty Norman trainee appears overdue. (1) CHURCHVIEWFRANKL IR is a head shy of being a perfect 3-for-3 since arriving from Ireland for Burke. He steps up to face tougher in NW4 but should still be right there. (2) ALL ALONE was good two back, just ok in other races. Seems beatable at 2/1 morning line.
