Yonkers: Analysis for Tuesday 8/3

MEET STATS: 239 - 676 / $1,316.50 (-$35.50)
BEST BETS: 33 - 66 / $105.50 (-$26.50)
Best Bet: CRUNCH HANOVER (11th)
Spot Play: DUDES SWEET BET (3rd)
Race 1: NW1 race or $13,250 lifetime Pace
(2) SAUVIGNON BLUECHIP banked $72K in 5 races as a two-year-old but things haven't gone so well this season. Gelding does show plenty of speed, however. (7) MICKEYS SPIRIT paced in 1:53 at Philly in just his second lifetime start. Late-bloomer clearly has some ability. (3) ROSE RUN WOODROW also has some early foot which can set him up with a live trip.

Race 2: NYSS 2YO Fillies Pace
(3) JUST DEVINE kicked home in :25 3/5 in his career debut at The Meadowlands then brushed and crushed at Monti in NYSS action; Burke trainee hasn't shown early speed yet but I'm sure that will come in time. (1) JOYRIDE HANOVER was a 1:54 2/5 winner in his NYSS debut and he draws best here looking to go down the road. He's coupled with (1A) REENACTMENT and both hail from good inside posts. (5) SINGLE SOURCE has performed well in two starts when Dexter Dunn was in the bike.

Race 3: Excelsior A 2YO Fillies Pace
(8) DUDES SWEET BET wasn't all that bad on debut two back and that was at the NYSS level; he lands all the way outside but does show good leaving ability. (3) PERFECT QUEEN just missed at a big price in his initial outing with Todd McCarthy driving; brother Andrew gets the call tonight from a good starting spot. (1) HESTON HONEY was caught uncovered a long way at Monti and can be excused for that trip.
Race 4: Excelsior A 2YO Fillies Pace
(2) PATSVILLE won easily at Monti two back then blew away a conditioned field at Pocono; Huntsville offspring is clearly the one to beat at a short price. (1) SCANDALOUS IDEAL finished well in his career debut but was too far back to seriously threated; we'll see if he can stay closer tonight. (6) JACANA prepped with a jogola score in a NW1 event at Monticello then entered the Excelsior and was a winner off a nice trip; hopefully Kakaley can improve position a bit at the start.
Race 5: NW2 races or $25,000 lifetime Pace
(4) DEAL THE CARDS was off almost a year coming to last week's race but he took all the money and responded with an easy win. Schnittker trainee can be even stronger tonight. (3) UNCONTROLLABLE returns to the U.S. from Canada and joins the Stafford barn; he had some solid recent efforts at Pocono. (1) SOLID ALIBI figures to line up a live trip from this spot.
Race 6: Excelsior A 2YO Fillies Pace
(1) GOODLUCKSWEETHEART may not be ready for the top-level in the NYSS yet but this filly from a hot barn should appreciate lesser competition. (4) KING PRINCESS is two for two so far in the Excelsiors for the Todd Buter barn; Stratton is back driving tonight. (2) TWO PROUD gets Sears back in the bike, who got familiar with her in a couple of Gaitway qualifiers, and she draws well coming off a willing qualifier.
Race 7: NYSS 2YO Fillies Pace
(2) THROW THE DICE made a nice sustained run to be second best in her NYSS debut and she has a post edge on her main competition. (7) GOTTHEGREENLIGHT has done nothing wrong in her brief career as she's already three-for-three over on the big track; she moves to the half now and draws the worst post so we'll see how she can overcome those obstacles. (5) HAMPTONS BABE was second best in her NYSS split for Alagna; must consider.
Race 8: NYSS 2YO Fillies Pace
(1) LEE LOO looked good in her career debut at Philly with her front-end score in 1:52 4/5 for the Jenn Bongiorno barn; I suspect she'll be ready to fire down the road here as the heavy favorite. (4) WINE N DINE ME was a 1:54 2/5 winner on debut at Monti for DiDomenico; nothing wrong with that. (2) APRIL ANGEL hopefully won't be derailed by that sick scratch and overall missed time.
Race 9: NW4 races or $50,000 lifetime Pace
(1) HEARTLAND DANDY has been super at The Meadows for Burke, with the only speed bump was two back where he was in too tough. He's clearly the one to beat. (5) KEYSTONE NOLAN finished willingly last week but was too far back to threaten; Lachance trainee had shown speed in prior starts. (3) ANDRES HANOVER was a good second last week to the well-rated winner; he moves up to NW4 tonight and can be considered to round out the ticket.
Race 10: NW7500 in last 5 starts Pace
(4) TALBOTCREEKWHISKEY flashed some speed last week and ended up third best with a steady finish; he drops in class again and finds a pretty good spot. (8) MELODIES MAJOR has been a big disappointment for a couple of years now; note the move to the Gillis barn, however, which has been pretty live all season. (3) FLYINGEVENBETTOR N ships in for Alagna and seems legit here despite not winning yet this year.

Race 11: NW6 races or $75,000 lifetime Pace
(3) CRUNCH HANOVER was second best in his last two to a good one and this looks like his turn to take charge at a short price. (2) BETTOR AT HIGHTIDE is another Mark Ford piece who is now listed with Gillis; respect. (5) SHINY BLACK BEAMER has been a very consistent participant for DiDomenico.
Race 12: NW10000 in last 5 starts Pace
(3) TYGA HANOVER drops in class and seems to have found his softest spot in some time; Brennan sticks with the Harris trainee. (2) WARDAN EXPRESS A put in a solid speed try last week before tiring. (6) BRAEVIEW BONDI A took all the money last week and delivered with a going-away score.
