Yonkers: Analysis for Tuesday 8/25

MEET STATS: 142 - 401 / $752.90 (-$49.10)
BEST BETS: 22 - 37 / $70.70 (-$3.30)
Best Bet: CHACHING HANOVER (3rd)
Spot Play: DARK ENERGY N (6th)
Race 1 - NW2 races or $25,000 lifetime Pace
(2) WANNASHAKEYOURTREE gets Bartlett tonight on the catch-drive and he usually has good success with the Blackler trainees; she was a solid-closing second in her last try. (1) PRECIOUS ALEXIS gets major class relief dropping out of the NYSS and she draws best; one to fear. (5) BOLT OF SPEED has shown little since arriving for DiDomenico but at least she gets away from the eight hole tonight.
Race 2 - NW5000 in last 5 starts Trot
(1) WATKINS finds the easiest spot he's seen in ages and the 13-year-old classmaster should win this race on memory; short price looming, however. (4) ABEQUA rallied well at 106/1 two back to hit the ticket and she chased along with no gain in a quicker mile last start; she gets Bartlett with Stratton opting elsewhere and the mare can be there with smooth sailing. (7) PINE BUSH ROSE is capable with this type but may have too far to come; consider underneath at a price.
Race 3 - NW5000 in last 5 starts Pace
(4) CHACHING HANOVER was a willing participant last out with a late close from the eight hole; veteran has been successful with much better than these in the past and the Stafford trainee clearly looks like the one in here. (2) MICHAEL’S VICTORY arrives locally now in the Ken Koch barn, and he's had decent success with his stock since becoming a Yonkers regular; we'll see if the gelding fits with these. (5) ALEX TYE was third best in his last two local starts coming off of easy stalking trips; needs to show more tonight from this spot to emerge victorious.
Race 4 – NW5000 in last 5 starts Trot
(3) ARRAKIS came up short from the pocket in his local return but his early speed and good manners always makes him a factor; I always felt this guy is capable of showing more than he has. (2) PETER’S EXPRESS raced well three back at a big price versus better; a similar effort can land him a share here; 20/1 morning line is enticing. (6) ZAGSTER gets class relief and Andrew Harris and Bartlett sticks with him.
Race 5 - NW4 races or $50000 lifetime Pace
In a tough race to figure where I have no real opinion, (7) HURRIKANE NORAKANE raced decently to be third best in the M Life consolation two back and she's generally shown some live moves; John McDermott trainee may be completely overlooked in the wagering and could be considered here. (3) DD DELICIOUS showed solid ability as a 3-year-old but has been slow to get underway this season. (2) LOOKATMYART just missed last out in an Excelsior split.
Race 6 - NW5000 in last 5 starts Pace
(3) DARK ENERGY N gets class and post relief making his fourth U.S. start and note two back he was third best against much better. Hopefully one day the automated morning-line will interpret these Down-Under horses to reflect their true odds, as we're unlikely to see 9/2. (7) BAD BOY BRAD A has also been facing better and anything the Jim King Jr. barn sends in obviously has to be respected. (1) BANK SEA closed very sharply in his last two at The Meadowlands but failed badly on the front end in his last Yonkers try.
Race 7 - NW10000 in last 5 starts Pace
(5) SOHO LENNON A put in a pretty game two-move effort in defeat last out and this Dilloian-trained veteran appears way overdue. (4) DECISION DAY returns locally off a series of good efforts at The Big M. (6) MAROMA BEACH has been a money-burner recently but he'll be a price tonight.
Race 8 - NW8 races or $100,000 lifetime Pace
(4) FREE EXCHANGE ships in and picks up Stratton for the potent Lance Hudson barn; mare may not look as fast as others in here but this driver/trainer tandem is hard to ignore. (2) AZREAL AS IT GETS took plenty of money last out and was nailed on the wire; Bartlett gets the drive tonight as Marohn opts for (8) BLACKWELL RUBY IR, who may be most talented but has post eight after missing a month of action.
Race 9 - NW17500 in last 5 starts Pace
(2) LUCIANO N was intent on cutting the mile last out versus better and gave way; veteran gets some class relief, draws well again, gets Siegelman back in the bike and he's proven capable with this type. (5) DON DOMINGO N gets Stratton back in the bike for Hudson and he figures to be more involved from this spot. (6) ARTIE’S IDEAL raced very well upon arrival just missing.
