Yonkers: Analysis for Tuesday 8/11/26

Matt Rose|Aug 10, 2026
Yonkers Logo 1.5

2026 MEET STATS: 195 - 594 / $1,075.16 (-$112.84)

BEST BETS: 35 - 64 / $117.92 (-$10.08)

BEST BET: ROCKNACIOUS (8th)

SPOT PLAY: OVER ICE (5th)

Race 1: Italian/American Amateur Challenge Pace

(7) IT’S MAHOMES A has early speed and a competent amateur driver who will probably want to be in play early. Maybe he gets lucky and can land close to the front early at a big price. (3) LAST BEACH has been competitive in his last few facing similar. (1) HURRIKANEKINGJAMES is a $579K career earner who did stop last week first off the claim but that was against better and he drops back to where he fits.

Race 2: Italian/American Amateur Challenge Trot

(3) I’M OUT has been facing tons better and he dominated when last at this lower level. (7) CACTUSTOTHECLOUDS has also been in against tougher and two back he set a quick clip on the engine. Driver Slendorn, like the first race, will probably be looking forward off the gate. (1) BO SILAS recently added hobbles and has been okay; driver Paul Minore has been around seemingly forever and knows how to get a trotter home.

Race 3: F&M $20,000 Claiming Pace

(3) SPIRIT OF PEARL A was recently reclaimed by Laterza and raced well for these connections in two starts back in July; Holland is back driving and will be heading for the front. (7) FIGHT NOT FLIGHT has been a killer in her last three and stays at the winning level off the Alexander reclaim. (4) GINGER TREE LIZ makes her way back to Yonkers after a couple of vastly improved efforts at Philly.

Race 4: 3-5YO Winners of 2-4 races or $60,000 LT Pace

(1) REINCARNARED hit town recently for the Bongiorno barn and easily wired the field making it two straight overall. Joe B drove that night but now Holland gets the call facing similar from the rail. (6) RAGNAR LOTHBROK N won in his local debut then finished second four straight times; drawing on the outer half of the gate probably doesn’t improve his chances of stepping back up to the top spot. (8) THE RASCAL N won for fun in his second North American start then had the outside and never got involved. Stuck in the worst post again doesn’t bode well but he’s clearly got talent and will be a big price tonight after taking plenty of money in prior starts.

Race 5: F&M $50,000 Claiming Pace

(2) OVER ICE has raced well recently without a victory to show for it and she’s just in need of a smoother trip, which can happen from this improved post. (1) MAYBEMABEL was claimed for 20, won for 30, was second for 50, draws best and she’s a major player. (6) MADDIE’S DELITE is the most accomplished at this level but does move outside after a series of good draws.

Race 6: NW15000 in last 5 starts Pace

(1) STAR CASINO N is still searching for that first win after arriving from Down Under and after his solid second last week facing better he’s in a great spot to convert tonight; deserving chalk. (4) IN EXCESS N steps up considerably but he’s been good in two starts for the Devita barn after arriving from Saratoga. (7) LYONS FRANKY J has been close in all four starts for Engblom after shipping down from Canada but he loses his regular driver (Bartlett) and is stuck outside. At 20/1 ML he’s certainly worth a look.

Race 7: 3-5YO NW2 races or $30,000 LT Pace

(4) CALLMEBIGPAPI was second best to a couple of tough ones in his last two at this NW2 class and he appears ready to step up to the top spot. (1) CAPTAIN AMORE N finally landed a better post last week and raced much better; further improvement can be expected from this recent import. (8) ADONIS BLUE CHIP beat a NW2 field last out and still fits here but moves all the way out to the eight hole.

Race 8: 3-5YO NW3 races or $31,558 LT Pace

(3) ROCKNACIOUS raced well to be second in his YR debut and was okay last week in a fast back half; post improvement gives this Toscano trainee a chance to be closer to the front and involved earlier. (5) KILLER BEE DEO has been a consistent sort for the Shane Tritton barn and was a monster price in his lone local win. He gets a new driver tonight with Kelly and will be a threat here if able to leave the gate. (1) FLYING MAJOR ART N has plenty of early speed but needs more late.

Race 9: NW20951 in last 5 starts Pace

(4) WISH YOU WELL was able to make the front last week and proved a solid winner. If he can make the lead again without too much stress (which is quite possible) he’s talented enough to repeat. Toscano late double? (6) RAILROAD STATION has two wins and a third since arriving locally for Burke; Buter drives again and will also be leaving the gate. (2) DUNKIN loves to win (or lose) by the scantest of margins and while he double-bumps in class if he brings his “A” game he's absolutely capable of winning.
