SPOT PLAY: DANDY'S SHOWTIME (12th)
Race 1: F&M $20,000 Claiming Pace
(1) TERACITA usually shows up with a legit effort at this level when drawn inside and the DiDomenico trainee can set up on the front rating or right in behind. (3) SHEIKH YABOOTY N wired a similar field last week; looks to repeat for now-trainer/driver Joe Bongiorno. (5) PLEASURE SEEKER is an ultra-consistent board threat and drawing outside her main rivals hurts her chances but clearly helps the price.

Race 2: $60,000-$75,000 Claiming Pace
(8) ROCK DIAMONDS N goes for his fifth straight win and has the early speed to overcome the tough post, plus the price should be honest after paying $2.30 in his last effort. (3) REIGNING DEO was moving fastest last week and now moves inside a few slots. (2) MICKY GEE N is clearly feeling good but as we know this veteran is often trip-dependent and therefore tough to use on top at a short price.

Race 3: F&M $20,000 Claiming Pace
(7) SHOTGUN PERSUASION has raced well in three starts for this barn after returning from upstate and she's got early zip; Joe B. picks up the drive and figures to be looking forward off the gate. (6) ROLL WITH SHORTY recently missed a couple of weeks with a sick scratch but should be tighter off last week's effort; Marohn sticks with her and she's also got speed. (2) LYONS MIKI will be a big price but can save ground and pick up a piece.
Race 4: F&M $25,000 Claiming Pace
(6) COALFORDSNSHINE GB has taken two straight at this class and three of four overall for the Burke barn, all from off the pace. This race may set up for her again with some shaky favorites to her inside. (3) ALWAYS BE CITY was third last week as the 6/5 favorite and now is rated at 10/1 on the ML; odds should land somewhere in between and she does seem overdue to break through. (2) NUTTINBUTHTEBEST takes a big drop from the $50's to the $25's but with little current form.
Race 5: F&M $50,000 Claiming Pace
(1) IDEALINFUN has been razor-sharp in all recent and new driver Kakaley has options here. I assume strategy will come down to what #3 is doing. (3) NO WIN NO FEED A stopped last start against better but practically every start before has been good and she does face somewhat easier here; tough call. (5) SALE EL SOL moves into claimers off a trip-sitting win and overall she's a quality mare.
Race 6: NW21531 in last 5 starts Pace
(4) SEMI TOUGH was outbattled last start and settled for second in that 1:51 3/5 mile; classy Burke veteran has Joe B. driving again and always a good effort. (3) AMERICAN DEALER N returns to Yonkers looking for three straight after scoring at Pocono and The Big M; Zeron is back aboard the Toscano-trained veteran. (1) MY ULTIMATE BYRON A gives up a little in the class department to the top two but last week's effort proves that he belongs.
Race 7: NW15000 in last 5 starts Pace
(7) BLUE LOU is usually the type of horse I lean against but the 4YO has been keeping pace with some tough ones down at Oak Grove and we've seen Engblom trainees competing there fit in well over the half. (6) DEETZY is still a legit player at these mid to upper-level classes and Holland can get him forward off the gate; 12YO can be close up at a price. (3) WATTSUP SUNSHINE A is a fresh import from Down-Under into the Vallee barn and automatically deserves a mention.
Race 8: NW10000 in last 5 starts Pace
(1) THIS IS THE PLAN has been a shell of his former self but he keeps on going so I assume he's fine but maybe could use a confidence boost. Dube gets the drive again on the Burke-trained $3 million earner and can control his destiny from the rail. (5) VENIER HANOVER gets good and wins in spurts so despite stepping up is a legit threat to repeat. (2) ROLLING WITH SAM has four wins and is 12 for 18 in the money this year so from this post he's very logical.
Race 9: F&M $20,000 Claiming Pace
(1) TYRA MAKES BANK has been a consistent presence since arriving from Harrington and was finally claimed after her fourth local start by Laterza, and that outfit has done very well this year playing the claiming game. (2) UNITY was quickly reclaimed by Hudson after winning for new connections last out. Top two both remain at winning levels and figure to be controlling the action. (3) PINK RUBY has been good for the Stratton barn and will be stalking from just in behind; she's got a chance for the mild upset.
Race 10: 2-4YO NW1 race or $16,082 lifetime Pace
(6) STONEBRIDGE PATROL was a winner two back then broke before the start last week losing all chance; obviously that recent race was cause for concern but assuming he behaves himself Bartlett likely will have him in play early. (1) DOC'S EARNEST broke his maiden in his third lifetime start and first at Yonkers. Noel Daley trainee is in a similar spot and deserves to be favored. (5) HURRIKANE MIKI likes to finish third and I expect the strategy from Stratton will be to save ground and make one late run.

Race 11: 2-5YO Winners of 2-5 races or $60K LT Pace
(4) BONAPARTE gave it a shot in the Messenger elimination and obviously that didn't work out but now the 3YO is back in with the type he can beat, like he did two back from a similar spot. (1) MIDNIGHT NATION is still winless on the season but was just shy in his last two, figures to be right there again. (3) CRAZY WORLD took money in debut for the Alexander barn after arriving from Canada but did little. That was a fast mile, however.
Race 12: F&M $20,000 Claiming Pace
(8) DANDY'S SHOWTIME goes back to Bartlett and the Engblom trainee had the early speed to set up a nice trip two back when she just missed; expect forward movement off the gate again at an honest price. (1) JUST ROSAS LUCK is another sharp claimer taken out of her last start by Laterza and now she draws the rail; obvious player. (2) CHARMING VIXEN broke last week at Pocono but note she was a winner here the start prior.
