:quality(75))
2026 MEET STATS: 161 - 484 / $889.91 (-$78.09)
BEST BETS: 29 - 50 / $94.12 (-$5.88)
BEST BET: RESILIENT N (9th)
SPOT PLAY: BETTER B BOLD (8th)
Race 1: 3-5YO Winners of 2-4 races or $60,000 LT Pace
(5) RAGNAR LOTHBROK N came up just shy in his second North American start after dominating in his debut. Right now he seems a bit faster than the other import (2) MOONSHINER N. That one steps up for Bongiorno after pummeling NW2 and gets a tough test tonight. (4) ALWAYS BET ON ME is now two-for-two since moving to the Burke barn.

Race 2: F&M $20,000 Claiming Pace
(1) YUENGLING has been one of the most consistent mare claimers this season and has performed for multiple barns. Major post edge on some tough rivals gets her the call. (7) REMI LOU A was impressive upon arrival for Bongiorno. It all comes down to how hard she has to be used here. (4) JIVE DANCING A get some post relief and her last effort was a bit improved.
Race 3: NW8041 in last 5 starts Pace
(4) BELL'S DAVID arrived on the East coast, joined the Choate barn and won easily at Philly after previously being 0 for 13. He's got a tough one directly to his inside but will offer a much better price than that one. (3) IT'S A ME MARIO is a legit Open-level pacer still trying to figure things out this year. Tritton trainee is a legit favorite but he faltered at odds-on last out at Tioga. (1) SOUTHWIND CELSIUS dropped and popped last week and we'll see if that newfound form carries over into tonight facing better.
Race 4: 3-5YO NW2 races or $33,293 LT Pace
(4) THE RASCAL N made his way from Down Under to Canada, qualified well, raced okay in a fast mile at Mohawk then was 'one and done' as he's shipped down the Engblom barn. Wouldn't be surprised if he dominates. (3) DARKNSTORMY DEO was a good second upon arrival from Hoosier and he could offer even more in his second start for the Alexander barn. (7) CAPTAIN AMORE N never got close in his North American debut and could be in for another long night from another bad post but as all these shippers do he deserves a long and serious look.
Race 5: NW11351 in last 5 starts Pace
(5) UDDERLY SWEET A gets class relief in his third start after arriving from Australia. Bongiorno charge finished in under 28 seconds both times. (1) DELE ROW A was strong in his first start with Holland driving and he's got the call again. (6) HEZA CHARTTOPPER A drops and returns to Bartlett; he would be top choice if not for the post.
Race 6: NW20000 in last 5 starts Pace
(4) SOHO DOW JONES A lands an improved post and more importantly Bartlett is back aboard the Dilloian Jr. trainee. Not sure if he gets the lead here with the speedster from the rail but regardless he'll find a way to win this. (1) PARIS'S DRAGON went down the road last week, may look to do the same tonight. Worst case he's pocketed and stalking. (3) PANETTONE HANOVER was off a sick scratch yet got close to #1 last week.
Race 7: NW10000 in last 5 starts Pace
(2) WHATS STANLEY GOT A beat a softer field at Pocono last out at odds-on but he's not too far removed from a win in the Invite and he was actually favored that night. From a good post a the NW10000 level the Stratton trainee should find a way to win. (1) BOSTON BOUND has really tailed off of late after a strong start to the season for these connections. This is a good spot to get well in a hurry. (3) LYONS FRANKY J arrives from Canada and moves into the Engblom so by default he picks up Bartlett to drive. 4YO has a lot to prove versus these but the connections can't be ignored.
Race 8: NW15000 in last 5 starts Pace
(4) BETTER B BOLD gets some class relief after a complete toss line from the eight hole last week. Two prior he was outbattled by a classy rival at odds-on and he should offer some more value tonight. (1) MAC'S MARVEL is best a level or two down but he's perfectly capable of chasing along from this spot and landing a big piece. (2) COALFORD TOPGUY GB has hit the board in three of his last four at this level.

Race 9: NW20000 in last 5 starts Pace
(5) RESILIENT N is another Down-Under shipper on tonight's card who will attract a ton of attention and deservedly so. This Joe B trainee finished with plenty in his initial start from too far back and will be more aggressively handled here. (3) ARODA N has a post edge on most of his main rivals and the Tritton trainee should have more to offer than last week. (7) MATAI PHIL N is just 3 for 20 this year but has maintained sharpness throughout the entire season and he's a solid fit with these. Obviously the post is a major concern.
Race 10: NW5000 in last 5 starts Pace
(2) PYRO owes me plenty of money over the years and I start recouping tonight at the basement conditioned level versus a soft field. (4) DONTBOTHERMENONE N drops from $25K claimers and should make more of an impression here. (1) RUSTY BEACH has had a good season racing upstate and he moves all the way in to the rail. I suspect driver Tom Merton will be taking an aggressive approach.
