2023 MEET STATS: 257 - 733 / $1,221.20 (-$244.80) BEST BETS: 42 - 69 / $133.40 (-$4.60) BEST BET: UP THE CREEK (2nd) SPOT PLAY: RJ SPORTS IMAGE (11th) Race 1: F&M $50,000 Claiming Pace (1) CHUPPAH ON had blast-off speed at both ends of her mile last week and snapped her winless drought. She can repeat here with the tactical post edge on her main rival. (2) GOLDEN QUEST N has been a model of consistency and it sure seems like these top two will take all the money and control the action up front. I'll toss in (3) ACEFOURTYFOUR ALEX for third, as she should be saving ground just behind the favorites. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: Can You Go The Distance? 1 mile Pace (1) UP THE CREEK added Lasix in his debut for the Bongiorno barn and went a big mile in defeat. Bartlett gets the catch-drive tonight and he looks tough to beat at 1/5 or 1/9 odds. (3) JUDGE FOR YOURSELF has picked up his game at Monti since moving to the Devita barn and he may be sitting the trip behind the favorite. (2) COUNTER OFFER saved ground for third last out, figures to do the same here. [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Yonkers card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 3: 2-4YO NW1 race or $14,801 lifetime Pace (5) PINE BUSH MOOLAH was a very respectable third in his local debut and he can build off that effort. (2) UNDER YOUR SCARS has been racing in the Midwest for the Lorentzon barn and she's usually good at moving her stock around to find live spots; this 3YO is off almost a month, however, which could be a concern. (4) CLEVELAND B MIKI ships in from Pocono for Lachance looking for his maiden win but he does have 5 third-place finishes in 9 starts. Race 4: Can You Go The Distance? 1 mile Pace (4) HUNTING ZONE has been the most consistent of these as he's made his way up the NW conditioned ranks for the Lorentzon barn; 3YO has shown versatility as well with that nice close last week. (5) KID DID IT has been right there in three local starts at the NW1 level. He's got something to prove tackling better but he could be up to it; Brennan with the catch drive. (2) HURRIKANE JONNYBOY isn't the most consistent but he did beat a NW6 field two back. Race 5: NW20000 in last 5 starts Pace (3) ULTIMAROCA beat up on a softer field last week in his second try for the Gillis barn and he's got plenty of class to repeat against better. (1) PHOENIX OF FLUZZY was a good second in his last two and he does have a win facing similar a couple of months back; he seems more than capable of winning this with a good trip. (5) JILLIBY DYNAMITE A has gone some rugged miles recently out of town for the Nifty Norman barn but it's hard to say what kind of trip he's looking at from this spot. Race 6: Can You Go The Distance? 1 mile Pace (2) HUNTSVILLE PLACE added Lasix for his latest start and was put in play from the outside but gave way on the front end. Erv Miller trainee gets major post relief and could work out the pocket trip behind (4) LOUS THE ATTITUDE, who is regularly the one to beat but he's burned serious money in two of his last four. (3) PINK FLOYD HANOVER was second two back and closed with plenty last week at a big price. If he saves ground and shakes free he'll be coming. Race 7: 3-5YO NW2 races or $25,000 lifetime Pace (2) FIXN AND MIXN has been racing well up at Tioga and now a month removed from his last race he surfaces here for new connections, namely Engblom and Bartlett. Tough to ignore if the missed time doesn't concern you. (5) CHURCHVIEWFRANKL IR was outbattled in a solid try in his U.S. debut and the Burke trainee is an obvious top contender. (3) EVERYBODYLOVESLOU finally broke through into the win column last week but the Toscano trainee will have to show more improvement tonight. Race 8: NW20000 in last 5 starts Pace (5) FUNATTHEBEACH N needed a drop to the base NW15000 level to get a long-awaited win and obviously this multiple stakes-winner won't have a problem moving back up in class a bit. Stratton had him in play early last week and I'm hoping for more of the same tonight. (2) BLANK STARE was a sharp pocket-rocket winner last out for good connections; hard not to include. (1) QUALITY BUD technically drops to a lower condition and lands the rail but he's up against some tough ones; that said the classy 10YO should be able to land a nice piece. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 9: F&M $50,000 Claiming Pace (4) MIKI ROSE took some time to get going but she seems to be firing on all cylinders now as she goes for three straight. (1) FLIP THE SCRIPT has been tiring recently but three back she was good for second after leaving hard; Kakaley could be looking at a pocket trip here. (3) CORAL BELLA has been racing just evenly of late but we know how well she can leave the gate and maybe Holland gives it a shot. If so, it could make things more difficult for the favorite. Race 10: NW10441 in last 5 starts Pace (3) MR DS ROCK hasn't won since March but he does have enough class to assume he can get it done in this softer spot. Main rival (1) CAVEMAN A is an interesting shipper for Cullipher who has come back sharp off the brief layoff winning two straight at Philly. (4) SO MANY ROADS should be in "save ground mode" from this spot and definitely can land a nice piece. Race 11: NW15000 in last 5 starts Pace (8) RJ SPORTS IMAGE is up in class again and draws the worst post but if you have seen his last three races here then it won't matter at all. Bartlett sticks with him and he'll be firing hard from the gate again. (4) LAYTON HANOVER came up a bit short last week in what was probably a needed start; Alexander trainee should be a player. (1) LOU'S BEACH is legit speed from the rail. Assuming #8 clears he may be sitting the pocket.
