Race 1: NYSS Excelsior A 2YO Filly Trot
(5) TUFF STUFF starts her career off of two solid half-mile qualifiers for NYSS veteran John Stark, Jr. and the experience over the smaller oval could work to her advantage. (1) CARISAH MARIE qualified well at Philly in under two minutes for good connections but post one can be tricky as they head into the first turn. (2) ESME looks like a contender for Wallin, assuming she trots.

Race 2: NYSS 2YO Filly Trot
(5) MORNING ANGEL is a debuting Chapter Seven filly for Courant out of a mare who was a Breeders Crown finalist for Svanstedt and she was fine in that second qualifier after initially breaking from the pocket. Zeron starts her off driving at what should be a fair price. (2) CALCULUS RISK was home in :28 3/5 up at Saratoga and Stratton gets the call for Perry Simser. Likely favorite here. (1) SHONDA is a Purple Haze Stables youngster for Smedshammer, always well represented in NY.

Race 3: $60,000-$75,000 Claiming Pace
(4) DP REALORDEAL steps back up into claimers on the strength of a nice win last week for the Burke trainee and he meets no standouts in here. (2) MICKY GEE N is feeling good again but consistency has never been his strong suit. (1) QUALITY BUD hasn't been a serious player in the last couple of months but he picks up a check every week and the rail draw gives Dube options.
Race 4: NYSS 2YO Filly Trot
(4) ROYAL MISSION starts off for Melander on the strength of a solid Big M trial where she was second in 1:57 4/5. Zeron was listed on three of the five in here and goes with this filly. (3) CHAPVIOUS is a Purple Haze homebred, this one with Ducharme and those Vernon qualifiers are hard to fault. (5) ON THE RADIO debuts for connections who consistently send out quality stock.
Race 5: 2-5YO Winners 2-4 or $60,000 lifetime Pace
(5) ENDOFSTORY faces some interesting shippers in here but he was sharp last week on the front end at this level and gets the call to repeat with Brennan picking up the drive. (1) THE GOOD DOCTOR was no factor in Kentucky stakes events but the Noel Daley trainee went to Philly and rolled in 1:50 1/5. Big player here from the rail. (4) CRAZY WORLD is 4 for 5 this year and was 9 for 19 as a 3YO up in Canada; now he ships down here and joins the Alexander barn to get more of a class test.
Race 6: NYSS Excelsior A 2YO Filly Trot
(7) FLASHCHAP lands outside for Smedshammer but there's likely a chance to improve position early around some breakers and she could be moving fastest when needed. (1A) DEVIOUS BABE finished in front of the top choice in that Gaitway Q for Julie Miller and son Tyler. This entry looks legit here but there won't be much value. (2) BEST SELLERS LIST gets Bartlett to drive off a reasonably effective Vernon qualifier.
Race 7: F&M $25,000 Claiming Pace
(3) COALFORDSNSHINE GB was able to convert with a sustained rally last week to nail #4 in here and now she lands in a similar spot; call to repeat. (4) SAUBLE DELIGHTFUL was the one nipped on the money but was yet another good effort from her and with the exception of one sub-par race last month she's been right there in every start since arriving. (5) ALWAYS BE CITY closed willingly in her last two but too late and now she's at a post disadvantage again. Still, the Stratton trainee is inching closer to a win.
Race 8: 2-5YO Winners 2-4 or $60,000 lifetime Pace
(4) MIDNIGHT NATION is still winless on the year but last start was one of his better efforts and he faces some rivals who may have some question marks. (6) HEZ ALLTHERAGE N has wired the field from post six in two of his last three and if he can make the front again he may be trouble. (3) SURFRIDER gets a barn change to Alexander and picks up Kakaley; improves?

Race 9: 2-4YO NW1 race or $15,000 lifetime Pace
(3) STONEBRIDGE PATROL broke his maiden last start and gets another chance at this NW1 level; Engblom trainee looks to repeat at a short price. (2) HURRIKANE MIKI gets important post improvement and should be close enough to the action to land a nice piece. (4) LAST POUND gets a look based on the barn-change angle.
Race 10: F&M $50,000 Claiming Pace
(4) CALLMEQUEENBEE A stepped up to this $50K level off the Devita claim and just missed from well back; that's her seventh straight on-the-board finish and with a reasonable trip the sharp mare can score. (1) PARADISE ROCK L has a recent win and a string of board placings at this level; from the rail she'll be a player. (7) IDEALINFUN goes to DiDomenico off the claim and keeps Bartlett; she's got the speed to help overcome the outside post.
