BEST BETS: 27 - 47 / $88.20 (-$5.80)

Race 1: F&M $20,000 Claiming Pace
(2) MAYBEMABEL chased Silk Cloud A in that 1:54 1/5 qualifier a week ago and dropped right back in the box. Recent Stratton claim drops back to the $20K level with a good draw. (7) TH SANDRA DEE won out of the seven hole in her debut for the Laterza barn and is clearly capable of repeating. (4) JIVE DANCING A is back in a spot where she can be much more involved.

Race 2: NW16041 in last 5 starts Pace
(4) ZEBS KRAFTY has really blossomed in his 5YO season, especially since shipping down from Canada and joining the Bako barn. He may have even more to offer. (2) KWICK SAND A was a winner in his Yonkers return and he's got wins here from earlier in the season at a level higher than these. From the good post he's one to fear. (1) PANETTONE HANOVER drops back to the level of his win from the beginning of the month and Bongiorno is back in the bike.
Race 3: 3-5YO Winners of 2-4 races or $60,000 LT Pace
(2) JOHNNY WIGGLES is another recent addition to the Bako barn coming from Canadian connections and he was a good second in an Excelsior event up at Vernon. (4) ADAM CHEESEHEAD has been a model of consistency throughout his nine-race career. (6) BETTOR'S DESIRE has had some closing speed in recent Yonkers tries and figures to be on the scene in the late stages again.
Race 4: F&M $50,000 Claiming Pace
(6) WAITFOREVER N has been good recently since returning to Yonkers and as usual any horse that shows a pulse in claimers is snatched up. This mare debuts for the Dilloian, Jr barn tonight, gets the catch-driving Joe B. in the bike and figures to be moving forward off the gate. (3) MADDIE'S DELITE also changed hands out of her last start and she too has been good since shipping in from Ohio. (5) LAURIE LEE could probably use some class relief to see the winner's circle but the veteran still has the goods to make a minor impact with this type.
Race 5: 3-5YO NW2 races or $34,906 LT Pace
(5) MOONSHINER N is the latest Down-Under import who looks ready for action in his first local start; this one is from the Alexander barn and won in that second Pocono qualifier with Kakaley in the bike. (7) FLYING MAJOR ART N is another recent import and he's been beating up on NW1/NW2 types at Plainridge. (2) WHISKEY VENOM showed an improved effort last out for the Noel Daley barn.
Race 6: NW10791 in last 5 starts Pace
(6) THE GREEK FREAK has turned things around with the recent class drop and though he just missed in his last two that has enabled him to stay at this level. (4) MOMENT IS HERE finishes second and third more often than he wins; Burke trainee has speed from a live post. (1) T H TYSON finally gets some post relief and that alone makes the Ryder trainee a contender.
Race 7: NW23101 in last 5 starts Pace
(3) COPPERFIELD is always competitive facing similar to what he sees here and the Engblom trainee never misses a check. Kelly gets the call again with a legit chance to wire these. (2) HEMSWORTH N was a good second last week when bumped back up to this level; veteran is the main threat. (4) FORWARD FLASH has won three straight in impressive fashion and is ready to tackle better; 4YO is equally effective going on or off the pace.

Race 8: NW15000 in last 5 starts Pace
(6) IMA PERFECT CHOICE went over $300K lifetime with last week's win against a notch lower and as a whole he's faced tougher competition this year than most of these. Only problem is the post but that helps the price as he was 1/9 odds in his last two. (1) LASER SPEED was a non-factor from a tough spot last start but now moves all the way in to the rail. (2) TH COLBY also had no chance coming out of the same race as #1 and the Burke trainee will be more involved here.
Race 9: F&M $25,000 Claiming Pace
(1) TWIN B ECHO has been first or second in four of five at this $25K level including last week's win. Devita trainee is no cinch but is clearly the one to beat. (6) ULTIMATE SPEED moves to a new barn, stays at a competitive level and I could see her taking a flyer off the gate. (3) BIG CITY DAISY was quickly reclaimed by the Laterza barn and understandably steps up to be protected but she's been competitive with this type recently.
