2023 MEET STATS: 182 - 513 / $853.30 (-$172.70)
BEST BETS: 30 - 48 / $96.70 (+$0.70)
BEST BET: EL LE TISSIER N (9th)
SPOT PLAY: CHUPPAH ON (2nd)
Race 1: 2-4YO NW1 race or $12,500 lifetime Pace
(4) FUGLEMAN is 0 for 19 and counting in his career but this is the softest spot he's seen since arriving locally and the Engblom trainee should figure out a way to get it done. (1) PAULS BANDIT is coming off a scratched-sick line but his prior effort was good. (5) MIKI DE VIE comes from Pocono to give Yonkers a try and may appreciate the change in scenery.

Race 2: F&M $50,000 Claiming Pace
(5) CHUPPAH ON returns from a failed try at Plainridge and back into a class that we know she fits well in. Her early speed should set her up nicely in here. (6) BETTER WATCH IT lands all the way outside but with only five rivals to deal with as she goes for three straight and four of five. (3) ACEFORTYFOUR ALEX doesn't win often but almost always comes away with money; consider underneath.
Race 3: NW12946 in last 5 starts Pace
(1) KOMODO BEACH is still looking for his first win of 2023 after a 4YO season where he banked over $200K; Noel Daley trainee lands the rail and Bartlett. (6) MICKY GEE N did race well last week and should be coming on at the end but will it be too late? Maybe. (2) GLACIS gets needed class relief making his second start back from the layoff for Lachance and he figures to be close to the lead throughout.
Race 4: 3-5YO NW6 races or $75,000 lifetime Pace
(4) WILLIAM HANOVER scored in his first start for his new barn and despite facing better maybe he's got more to offer. (5) DOWNRIGHTDELICIOUS cruised in two straight then gave the OHSS a try at Northfield and tired badly after being used early; back in familiar surroundings. (2) CAPTAIN BATBOY has some PA Stakes experience and was actually an odds-on favorite in one of those races; he fits this softer class now and is a major player.
Race 5: Can You Go The Distance Leg #2 Pace
(1) SIMON SAYS HANOVER is a perfect two-for-two since joining the Bako barn, including last week's half-mile sprint. He figures to be controlling these once again. (6) FLOW WITH JOE is better than he's been showing and does face softer now than he's accustomed to; Devita trainee will offer value. (5) GARDYS LEGACY A blasted down the road last week in the one-lap event; can he build off that effort going back to the traditional distance?
Race 6: F&M $50,000 Claiming Pace
(5) COWGIRL LILLY had been right there in every recent start and finally got back into the win column last start; she faces a sharp rival in #1 but she deserves top billing. (1) GOLDEN QUEST N was outbattled by the sharp Bettor Watch It last week and there was no shame in that defeat; Dube is back driving. (4) WILDCAT ANTONIA was third best in her last couple and Siegelman gets the call again on the Burke trainee.
Race 7: 3-5YO NW2 races or $25,000 lifetime Pace
(3) IM HUNGRY ships in to Yonkers for the Alexander barn and he's been facing tons better than what he sees here; very short price looming. (7) HUNTING ZONE graduates from NW1 and has the speed and driver to overcome the outside post. Can he put a scare into the favorite? (4) BEST BETTOR doesn't win but does occasionally pick up shares.
Race 8: Can You Go The Distance Leg #2 Pace
(1) SIX FEET APART was claimed for a hefty amount two back and put in a good display last week to be second best. Bartlett picks up the drive tonight going back to the regular one mile distance and he meets a field without a ton of current form. (5) HURRIKANEKINGJAMES was no match to the winner in round one of this series but he's been the most consistent of these and seems like a must-use. (2) THREE IN HEAVEN A gets much-needed post relief.
Race 9: NW21851 in last 5 starts Pace
(4) EL LE TISSIER N could not get past the leader in his local debut but the recent import should appreciate the acclimating mile and I suspect he'll be ready to roll over these tonight. (3) SARANAC BLUE CHIP has good tactical speed which usually sets him up with nice trips. (1) PEDRO HANOVER shifted from claimers for his last start and never got close but he does move all the way inside now.
Race 10: 3-5YO NW2 races or $30,745 lifetime Pace
(3) STRENGTHFROMABOVE invades from Indiana and joins the Engblom barn while picking up the leading driver. We've seen many of these types succeed here but beware this guy is just 1 for 16 lifetime. Still goes on top for me. (6) LAZ is another youngster with some stakes experience for the Travis Alexander barn and he'll probably fit well here. (2) FENDI HANOVER did have some mild pace in his local debut and now gets post improvement.

Race 11: 3-5YO NW4 races or $50,000 lifetime Pace
(1) WE SHALL SEA dominated NW2 three starts back and last week he finished alertly from post eight. Moving all the way inside the Team Stratton colt deserves a serious look. (4) HUNTSVILLE PLACE jogged two back then tired in the pocket last week. He looks to have a clear path to the front here. (7) LOUS THE ATTITUDE graduates to this level by blowing away a softer field last out. Bartlett will be moving early again.
Race 12: NW15181 in last 5 starts Pace
(6) OZONE BLUE CHIP was stuck in the eight hole in his last two starts after the brief break in action, but now the Bako trainee drops and moves in a couple of notches. I have a feeling Kakaley will be getting aggressive. (3) NANDOLO N is the deserving favorite but he's proven to be tough to take at short prices. (1) THE REAL ONE figures to be part of the late action and the classmaster needs to be included on all exotic tickets.
