?q=100)
2023 MEET STATS: 182 - 513 / $853.30 (-$172.70)
BEST BETS: 30 - 48 / $96.70 (+$0.70)
BEST BET: GREG THE LEG (2nd)
SPOT PLAY: SAILBOAT HANOVER (7th)
Race 1: 2-4YO NW1 race or $12,500 lifetime Pace
Field is a combined 1 for 90 lifetime. (1) EVERYBODYLOVESLOU didn't fire when sent to the rim last week in his local debut but he may have benefitted from that start and the Toscano trainee can show more tonight. (5) HUNTING ZONE took command to the quarter and tried going down the road last start but was collared; youngster needs to generate some more early speed with the move from the rail to the five hole. (2) FUGLEMAN finished third in the same race the top two come out of and it was an improved effort for the Engblom trainee.

Race 2: 3-5YO NW8 races or $100,000 lifetime Pace
(6) GREG THE LEG was a winner two back in the age-restricted Open, beating better than he meets tonight. He's the one to beat despite the outside post. (1) TWO FACED is 11 for 14 in the money and has picked up a check in every start this year. Consistent 4YO moves inside and should be looking at a good trip. (4) MY MIKI BEACH stepped up in class for last week's start and showed his customary early speed; he should be a factor here.

Race 3: F&M $50,000 Claiming Pace
(5) KAITLYN N has been just okay recently but she's got plenty of back class and as mentioned in the past the Blumenfeld barn has been live pretty much all season. (1) BETTER WATCH IT broke early last week and called it a night in that three-lap affair; she won her prior two versus similar. (3) CORAL BELLA has tailed off but her early speed always makes her dangerous.
Race 4: 3-5YO NW2 races or $25,000 lifetime Pace
(1) BEN SOLO has been a runner-up in his three seasonal starts, including last week when he had to overcome a shuffle; Brennan drives tonight and he should be the controlling speed here. (3) ON DAYBOO wasn't bad in his local debut and he does have a couple of recent Meadowlands wins. (5) LOUS THE ATTITUDE was first-time Engblom last out at Pocono in the PA Stallion series and didn't threaten; he figures to go better here.
Race 5: NW20000 in last 5 starts AE NW11 lifetime Pace
(7) PYRO has been a complete non-factor at the Open level in his last two but this is significant class relief and if Dube can get him away in good order he may prove tough to beat. (4) IMA HAPPY FELLA GB was a solid second upon arrival after leaving and securing the pocket; Buter may look for a similar trip here. (8) SHAKE IT is stuck in the eight hole and there is plenty of speed to his inside; if Bartlett can blast and clear he'll be tough.
Race 6: 3-5YO NW4 races or $50,000 lifetime Pace
(1) PEPPERMINT MAN broke in his lone pari-mutuel try this year in a Revere split at Plainridge but that race is surrounded by strong qualifier efforts; Alexander trainee appears to have ability. (5) TACK ROOM CHATTER got nipped on the line last start ending his modest win streak; he figures to be heading to the front again. (2) YO A J never got involved from post seven last week with Lasix added, now he moves to post two. That makes him an obvious contender.
Race 7: NW10071 in last 5 starts Pace
(2) SAILBOAT HANOVER returns from Canada to join the Bako barn and we saw that angle click a couple of times last week; this gelding has had plenty of local success. (1) STATE SENATOR was game in defeat last out for Blumenfeld. (5) MICKY GEE N had plenty of finishing pace in races leading up to last week's start, and then he took plenty of money and stalled badly. Seems oddly familiar to me...
Race 8: 3-5YO NW2 races or $25,000 lifetime Pace
(6) BARBOSSA HANOVER finished alertly from trailing position in his 3YO debut and he faces a field without much current form; I would like to see Holland more aggressive with the Erv Miller trainee. (7) LIVONJAXANDQUEENS hasn't hit the board in six tries this season but it's not like he's been particularly bad and he faces an easier class of horses. Post 7 is an obvious problem, however. (1) CAMLACHIE CHROME gets a big driver upgrade to Stratton.

Race 9: 3-5YO NW4 races or $52,382 lifetime Pace
(4) HUMAN COCKTAIL was 65 cents on the dollar last week and never posed a serious threat. He gets another chance as the price goes up tonight. (2) HUNTSVILLE PLACE jogged on the front end beating #4 handily; obvious threat to repeat, especially if he can clear command. (5) STORM THE COUNT arrives from Philly for Silva and picks up Bartlett.
Race 10: F&M $50,000 Claiming Pace
(3) MIKI ROSE finally put it all together last week with her pocket-pulling win and the Engblom trainee is in a good spot to repeat. (7) COWGIRL LILLY almost went wire-to-wire in the Popup final that was a three-lap event; there doesn't seem to be much midpack speed so Kakaley could get away in good order. (1) GOLDEN QUEST N also raced well in the added-distance final and she jogged against similar three back.
