2024 MEET STATS: 134 - 445 / $732.30 (-$157.70) BEST BETS: 20 - 38 / $72.40 (-$3.60) BEST BET: MIKITEEN (11th) SPOT PLAY: DEETZY (10th) Race 1: $60,000-$75,000 Claiming Pace (7) POINTOMYGRANSON lands outside again by being in for the higher tag in this handicap race but it may not matter as he's able to make the lead easily and he's going for four straight. Last week was a 1:51 2/5 score for his new barn. (4) QUALITY BUD has quietly been racing well and he's been known to leave the gate in the past. This is a spot where he may be able to do so and then sit a trip behind the favorite. (1) JIMMY CONNOR B lands the rail, picks up Holland, who surely will be looking to secure position into the first turn. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: 2-5YO NW2 races or $25,000 lifetime Pace (2) SNAP COUNT burned money last start at Pocono but raced well here in two prior starts from tough outside posts. He looks like the one to beat. (4) YANKEE CLOUT has also been live and always offers value. (5) MONEY EXCHANGE never got involved from the eight hole in his local return and he draws all the way outside again. The good news 'all the way outside' is only post five. Race 3: F&M $25,000 Claiming Pace (2) ON THE MONEY GB was able to grind down the speed last week at the price and she faces much of the same tonight; perhaps she repeats. (3) SAUBLE DELIGHTFUL faltered late at odds on when #2 got by; mare will probably be sent to the lead again and will have to be caught. (6) CALLMEQUEENBEE A has raced gamely in all recent starts but now after being claimed last week she lands the worst post for her new connections. Holland did choose her over #5. Race 4: F&M $20,000 Claiming Pace (3) ITTY BITTY keeps burning my money and it feels like the 10YO owes me thousands. She gets a driver change as Dexter Dunn shows up to drive all the Engblom horses without Bartlett here tonight. Maybe the new set of hands can wake her up. (1) PRINCESS ARONA dropped back to the level of the recent claim and raced much better to be second; she's very logical from this spot. (2) SHEIKH YABOOTY N has tailed off recently but she's always a threat with this type. Race 5: F&M $50,000 Claiming Pace (2) PARADISE ROCK L was outfinished last out but won the start prior and overall she's been a consistent presence practically all year and deserves another chance from the good starting post. (3) LA BELLA VITA N was game in defeat two back then wired the field last start. Brennan may be sending her to the lead again. (5) HONEY LOVE drops in for a tag tonight after finishing second to a talented winner who was dropping in class. Race 6: 3-5YO Winners of 3-5 races or $60,629 lifetime Pace (1) KID FROM THE BRONX was used hard securing the front from outside posts in both of his 2024 starts and understandably tired but now he moves in to the rail and though he faces a bit tougher he can have a smoother time of it. (7) VICI is just 1 for 14 on the season but he's been right there in a number of those races and he's shown the ability to leave the gate. (8) JK BLACK GOLD is a fresh face from Indiana for the Cullipher barn but he lands the dreaded post eight. Definitely one to look at, however. Race 7: F&M $20,000 Claiming Pace (4) ALWAYS B MIMI was reclaimed last week by Laterza & Co. and this mare had some success for these connections. Holland is back driving and she should offer a fair price. (2) PLEASURE SEEKER dropped back to the $20K level for her last start and responded by winning; she can easily repeat as the likely favorite. (5) CHARMING VIXEN has back at Yonkers and won at this level back in March; she'll likely be an off-the-pace threat. Race 8: NW20000 in last 5 starts Pace Despite coming up short last week it's nice to see (6) THIS IS THE PLAN back in good form and I can't help putting the $3 million earner on top. (3) JUST BET IT ALL is up in class for the third consecutive start and the Engblom trainee has looked good since coming to Yonkers; Dexter Dunn may have this 4YO first to the lead. (4) KINGSVILLE is versatile and always gives a good accounting of himself but he loses Brennan to the Burke trainee; Marohn gets the call. Race 9: F&M $20,000 Claiming Pace (5) TUAPEKA JESSIE N hasn't done anything of note recently but it's not like she's been bad; mare gets a switch to the aggressive Holland and meets a soft field. (1) PINK RUBY has been reasonably consistent for multiple barns recently and she draws the rail; 6/5 ML. (8) BROOKDALE JESSIE has been no worse than third in her last five including a win in that amateur event a few weeks back. Eight hole is tough but she did rally from out there last week at a big price. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 10: NW15000 in last 5 starts Pace (1) DEETZY has been second best in three straight and the classy vet is always live when drawn inside; Holland can go down the road with him. (3) ULTIMAROCA dropped to this level last week and responded in a big way, and the Gillis trainee gets a free ride at the same class. (7) SEMI TOUGH has shown much more in his last couple when down in class, including last week's dead-game win after he made the front from the eight hole. Step up here may not derail him. Race 11: 3-5YO Winners of 3-5 races or $60,000 lifetime Pace (4) MIKITEEN was a pocket-rocket winner first out for the Engblom barn and he lands in a similar spot with Dunn now driving looking to repeat. (5) RENAISSANCE DEO saw him win streak snapped at the hands of #4 and now he loses Bartlett, who isn't on the card. Siegelman gets the call on the Shane Tritton trainee and he still deserves respect. (6) SINBAD N will be coming late but his lack of early speed may leave him with too much to do.
