2026 MEET STATS: 133 - 402 / $769.21 (-$34.79) BEST BETS: 24 - 41 / $78.80 (-$3.20) BEST BET: ADAM CHEESEHEAD (6th) SPOT PLAY: CAPTAIN BATBOY (9th) Race 1: F&M $20,000 Claiming Pace (5) FORTUNADA draws outside of her main competition but she's got early speed and could use that to her advantage; she'll offer a good price for a capable contender. (2) RACIN FOR ROYALTY has a win and a second in her last two and a good draw. (4) SPIRIT OF PEARL A had little to offer up in class off the claim so the connections drop her right back in for $20K and she picks up the leading driver. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: F&M $50,000 Claiming Pace Dare I select (1) YS SENSATIONALCITY again? She hasn't been at her sharpest but from the rail I can't resist. New driver as well as Brennan gets in the bike. (2) PETROL QUEEN is another who should go well from this inner post. (4) SWEET ODDS beat a NW age-restricted field four back but was detached at the rear in her last two at this level. Does the Engblom trainee wake up or does she need a class drop?  Race 3: F&M $20,000 Claiming Pace We often see prices in these F&M claiming events with the evenly-matched fields so (4) SHEIKH YABOOTY N could fit the bill. She's won plenty in the past, does have some early speed and with the exception of three back she's raced pretty well. (1) YUENGLING is back with Laterza and won for this barn a couple of months back. (5) JIVE DANCING A is still going strong strong after all these years. Race 4: F&M $25,000 Claiming Pace (6) ULTIMATE SPEED has been right there in her last two races in that class after facing much tougher previously; she faces legit talent to her inside but that makes her a more attractive price. (3) TH SANDRA DEE jogged in her local return and Bartlett drives again; up a level in class. (4) DW'S DARLENE goes for another new barn tonight and she brings it every week. Race 5: NW5000 in last 5 starts Pace (3) INTIMIDATION is by far the most accomplished of these this season as she has more wins and money earned that the rest of the field combined. Could offer a square price because of the presence of #2 in here. (2) MAD RIVER ships in from The Meadowlands for the powerful Engblom/Bartlett combo and three back at the lowest conditioned level he just missed. Race 6: 3-5YO NW 3 races or $38,104 LT Pace (1) ADAM CHEESEHEAD took control last out and proved a dominant winner. Repeats from the rail facing similar. (7) DRAMAS A tried hard but was no match for the winner in last week's race. Import figures to be the runner up again. (3) TWIN B FRESH BET moves back to the inner half of the gate and two back he just missed at a price. Race 7: 3-5YO Winners of 5-7 races or $90,000 LT Pace There is plenty of young talent in here, and (1) GANNON'S VELOUCITY rank up there. Burke trainee rallied well for second last week and that's six straight sub :28 last quarters. I can see new driver Brennan taking control early and trying to pike these. (6) THIRSTY THURSDAY is now two-for-two to start his 4YO campaign, one from last to first and the next one down the road. Bartlett drives again. (5) TITO N CHEDDAR was 'okay' for a small share last out; will really have to step it up to pick up a win. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 8: NW22001 in last 5 starts Pace (3) HEZA CHARTTOPPER A had no problem overcoming the outside draw to win easily on the big dropdown. He now steps up a little but draws better and should repeat with the tactical edge. (4) RAILROAD STATION was a good second from the pocket to (5) VERDUN and those two can flip flop positions now. Verdun was 0 for 10 prior to last week's strong effort for Lachance. Race 9: NW7500 in last 5 starts Pace (2) CAPTAIN BATBOY put it together in his second start after joining the Bongiorno barn and he looks like a good fit here as he arrives from Philly. (7) MYSWEETBOYMAX was the ultimate 'drop and pop' last week but it gets a little harder now. (1) PLEASELETMEKNOW hardly resembles his former self, the version that earned over $900K. Alexander trainee tries again to get moving in the right direction.
