Yonkers: Analysis for Tuesday 4/6

MEET STATS: 114 - 309 / $598.70 (-$19.30)
BEST BETS: 15 - 31 / $49.60 (-$12.40)
Best Bet: ROCK THE NITE (2nd)
Spot Play: BLATANTLY BEST (4th)
Race 1: NW2 races or $25,000 lifetime Pace
(1) LINNYCALLEDFRANKIE only had two starts as a freshman before shutting it down but the Toscano trainee looked good in his seasonal debut with a nice brush-and-crush effort at Freehold; well-bred gelding draws best here and should be the one to beat. (2) DILLINGER put in a steady effort last week to be third best and anything resembling that race will land him a nice piece. (7) MOXLEY just failed as the chalk last week and that was from an inside post; move outside doesn't help matters.

Race 2: NW5000 in last 5 starts Pace
(3) ROCK THE NITE returns locally now in the Burke barn and that was a fairly productive effort last week at The Meadowlands first out for these connections; he lands a good post in a fairly soft field and gets top billing. (5) TAP TAP TAP had no pace last out in that strung-out field on a windy night; he's got a new trainer listed tonight (for what that's worth) and he does move in a couple of slots. (1) THEFREEDOMFIGHTERN finished well three back versus better and he's another that gets post relief.
Race 3: NW4 races or $50,000 lifetime Pace
(3) ROLLING WITH SAM put in a good showing in the M Life series, hitting the board in the three prelims and picking up a check in the final coming from too far back. Burke trainee shifts back to NW4 and should be able to handle these. (1) MAJOR BEAN recently arrived from Canada, joined the DiDomenico barn and breezed in NW2 at Pocono; youngster could have more to offer facing a bit better. (4) GAMBLINGTERROR was second best to a runaway winner last week.
Race 4: NW7500 in last 5 starts Pace
(2) BLATANTLY BEST is a classy 11YO with over $800K banked and he was snatched up for $25K last week by DiDomenico when entered in a claimer. First-time out for this barn is always a solid angle. (3) CASUAL COOL makes his second start back off the bench and he gets to face a bit softer here. (1) ONE OFF DELIGHT A was a fast-closing second two back at this level and now he moves all the way inside; Harmon trainee will be a player here.
Race 5: NW6 races or $75,000 lifetime Pace
(3) ODDS ON BREXIT went down the road in the M Life consolation to upset at over 19/1. He faces some question marks in here and could be successful again if Buter employs the same tactics. (5) SUMTHINBOUTIM had taken two straight before being stuck in post eight last start; he gets some post relief here which should help his cause. (4) GALANTE A closed a ton to upset last week and he gets another crack at this level.
Race 6: NW15000 in last 5 starts Pace
(6) CAN BE PERFECT has been razor-sharp of late, and he just missed to a rejuvenated The Real One last week; he can take this well-matched field with a smooth trip. (7) BETTOR MEMORIES would be the clear one to beat here had he drawn inside. (5) GROOVY JOE had a nice three-year-old season and was a NYSS finalist; he qualified twice in preparation for his seasonal debut.
Race 7: NW15000 in last 5 starts Pace
(1) KERFORD ROAD A always seems to be right there when drawn well and I still recall that race a couple of months back where he seated everyone and went down the road; big threat from the inside post. (3) WORLD OF SECRETS lands in a much better spot for his second local try and the Bill Rhoades trainee looks like a solid fit here class-wise. (6) ORILLIA JOE has been utilizing blastoff-type gate speed recently to clear the fields from outside posts and he's been finishing well also; classmaster deserves a look.
Race 8: NW10000 in last 5 starts Pace
(4) BETTING EXCHANGE isn't exactly a winning machine but he hasn't been bad recently and he lands in a pretty soft NW10000 field tonight; with some aggressive handling he wouldn't be a surprise. (1) SANTAFE'S COACH drops and moves back inside for Lachance. (8) HIGHLAND TARTAN finally gets to face a bit easier but he draws the worst post; perhaps he can hit the ticket with a crafty steer from Stratton.
Race 9: NW8 races or $100,000 lifetime Pace
(5) DIAMONDBEACH has been very good this year for the Bucci barn and his strong early speed has been getting him in play but he has also shown versatility with a couple of nice off-the-pace rallies; four-year-old clearly deserves the top spot. (7) DRAGON SAID has been a new horse since moving to the Jenn Bongiorno barn and he did beat the top choice in the M Life final; big player here if he's not too roughed up in the early stages. (2) QUAGMIRE BLUECHIP faces better going for his fourth straight but he loses his regular pilot tonight; he may need to come up with a lifetime mark to win again.
Race 10: NW10000 in last 5 starts Pace
(3) MIKE'S Z TAM dropped to the NW7500 level last week and was a very well-rated winner at odds-on; Lachance trainee is back up in class but is talented enough to beat this type. (4) LISBURN is also up in class off a nice win; Bongiorno did win with him three back. (2) DANCIN DRAGON gave way badly in his local return; he was facing better but it still was a very discouraging effort. We know he's more than good enough to beat these but it's hard to get excited about this guy.
