Race 1: NW10000 in last 5 starts Pace

(2) MOONLIGHT SHADOW was claimed for $50K last month but needed to drop near the bottom to carve out a win. He moves back up a notch on the conditioned latter and has the class to repeat. (1) ON ACCIDENT was pretty good upon arrival with speed on both ends of his mile and now he moves all the way inside. (5) ALEX TYE closed well for third last week with Holland driving and he's aboard again

Race 2: 3-4YO H&G Maidens or NW12500 lifetime Pace

(2) TACK ROOM CHATTER took plenty of money in his 3YO debut while facing decent stock in the Weiss but he didn't fire; prior to that the Tritton trainee had a nice qualifier here with Bartlett driving. (5) HUNTING ZONE was home in :27 2/5 in his seasonal debut and can be even better in his second start. (3) URIKA BLUE CHIP makes his career debut for sharp connections off just one Monticello qualifier. I'll assume he'll be conservatively handled and try to make one late run.

Race 3: F&M $50,000 Claiming Pace

(2) BETTER WATCH IT never got close last week but the Garcia-Herrera trainee gets much-needed post relief and this barn has been going well. (5) CORAL BELLA was unable to get near the front in her last start and that pretty much sealed her fate; she should have a clear path to the lead tonight. (3) ACEFORTYFOURALEX is feeling good again after a slow start to her season and she draws well enough to make an impact.

Race 4: NW22801 in last 5 starts Pace

(6) SHINE A LIGHT gets his regular driver Bartlett back in the bike tonight and while he draws outside there doesn't appear to be a ton of speed signed on so maybe he takes a shot off the gate. (3) ARDEN MESSI N has raced well in his last three and now faces much softer; he's clearly the one to beat. (1) BOILING OAR was outfinished last start after pulling pocket, from the rail he'll be on the lead or in the pocket.

Race 5: NW15251 in last 5 starts Pace

(4) FAMILY RECIPE has been stuck facing better recently and his last two were from the seven hole so not much was expected. Class and post relief should help this gelding immensely. (6) FEARFUL INTENT has been rock solid out of town since moving to the Cullipher barn; he does face more seasoned rivals but you can't argue with his form. (2) BRAEVIEW BONDI A also drops back to a more comfortable level and draws well again.

Race 6: 3-5YO NW6 races or $75,000 lifetime Pace

(3) CYRUS N came from off the pace in his U.S. debut and had little chance of reaching as they were rating up front; Tritton trainee is looking at a better spot here and figures to be much more involved. (7) RB has dangerous early speed which always gets him in play; seems like he'll be able to overcome the outside draw with relative ease. (4) BOUNTY HUNTER was the favorite when we saw him three back but didn't threaten; Stratton is back driving.

Race 7: NW7500 in last 5 starts Pace

(2) ROCK DIAMONDS N remembered his back class last out and he crushed a NW5000 field; Bongiorno trainee definitely faces better here but should repeat. (4) SHADOW CAT was a good second last week and he's inching closer to getting a win. (1) PACE N PRIDE N has burned plenty of money recently; use caution.

Race 8: 3-5YO NW4 races or $50,000 lifetime Pace

(3) HAZEVILLE looked very promising through only seven lifetime starts and the now 4-year-old may be ready to roll off that lone qualifier (2) ITS A ME MARIO passed the NW2 test with two odds-on scores; ready for more? (4) COUNTER OFFER was 39/1 in a five-horse affair for Michael Whelan but he swept that field; he can rally late for a share here.

Race 9: F&M $50,000 Claiming Pace

(5) LAURIE LEE has finished with good pace in her last few and Bartlett stays aboard as she steps back into claimers and finds a pretty soft field; tepid call in the finale. If you think (8) CHUPPAH ON will be looking to leave the gate by all means use her, because if she gets near the front she could be trouble; Buter gets the catch drive tonight. (4) LADY DELA RENTA A is still looking for her first seasonal win; Stratton drives again.
